Japan is my favorite of all the countries in EPCOT. We could spend hours in the huge store and the kids always enjoy eating hibachi style.

Japan is my favorite country to visit. Their "mini mall" shop is great. We always come home with a new pair of chop sticks. Take time and enjoy the beauty of this country.

We were able to do one of the Kim Possible missions here in Japan the last time we visited. It was teh first time we really explored the pavillion in depth. There are many fun & interesting things to do/learn. The shopping is always fun too.

I enjoy walking thru the store in this pavilion. They have a little bit of everything. The pick a pearl is very fun. They always make a big scene surrounding the pearl you pick. It's a little embarassing but fun none the like.

Great shopping. You can get lost in their department store which has lots to offer. The architecture is beautiful and there are lovely gardens here. Also has great dining and snacking options. One of the better pavilions on the WS.

Don't miss the candy artist, Miyuki. She talks the whole time she is sculpting the requested candy animal. She is very entertaining. She only picks a few people each performance, and only one per family. To avoid arguments between the kids. I've asked them to brainstorm and pick an animal they both agree on before we go this year. This is at the top of their list of things to do again this trip. Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite countries in W.S. The drum show is very powerful, the lady that makes animals out of sugar is very talented and the architecture and landscaping is superb!
The store is huge and has a lot to look at. In this store, you can pay to pick an oyster from the tank and keep what ever pearl it has in it. My daughter did this and has a great necklace to remember it by.

My favorite pavilion in World Showcase, this country is beautifully landscaped. The store goes on forever, with a wide variety of Japanese goods from Hello Kitty plushies to a sake bar. Tokyo Dining has excellent sushi. The very back of the pavilion usually has an interesting display of Japanese artifacts as well. Don't miss the candy artist, or the taiko drumming.

The architecture is very detailed. The shopping is extensive, in one large store, but interestingly does not reflect Japan strength in the global market in electronics. There is a good drum entertainment, but no attraction.

Japan is a gorgeous pavilion. If you like Benihana, check out Teppan Edo. Lots of shopping, lots of food - not too many other attractions.

We loved the Japanese pavilion. I picked a pearl and ended up getting "twins"~ 2 perfectly matched pearls out of 1 oyster. The whole process of choosing the oyster and having the cast member open it was a little uncomfortable to me due to being the center of attention, but I am glad I did it. The store is large and has a good selection of beautiful dishware. The cast members here were among the most friendly we encountered anywhere. Make sure this is one of your stops!

Personally when I first went through this area years ago, I found it a tad dull. However, on this trip I found it quite entertaining. I watched the oyster opening for a while and found it very amusing. My wife decided to do it and she got a very rare blue pearl. It was rather large too which meant she couldn't get the setting she wanted. After we came back to pick it up there was a flaw in the setting. I figured oh well but my wife insisted that we go back and get it fixed. After a short discussion with the cast member, she was given a new ring that she is very pleased with.

The Japan pavilion is a beautiful and immersive area with much to offer. It has one of the largest stores, one of the most serene landscapes, some of the most captivating entertainment and some of the best food of any pavilion in the World Showcase. The Mitsukoshi Department Store is HUGE and has everything from authentic Japanese kimonos, jewelry (including pick-a-pearl!), toys, bonsai trees and tea sets to a plum wine sampling bar and much more. The Koi fish pond/Japanese garden is gorgeous and one of the most peaceful spots in WDW. I've eaten at the Yakatori House counter service restaurant and love it - the miso soup is very good. I personally haven't eaten at the table service restaurant Teppan Edo, but I know many people who have and its received glowing reviews each time. The entertainment is wonderful; Miyuki "The candy lady" and the taiko drummers are awesome. Finally, the 2nd floor balcony that wraps around Teppan Edo is a wonderful spot to view the Illuminations fireworks show at the end of the night. On nights where Wishes is happening at the same time at the Magic Kingdom, you can even see that show from afar on the balcony as well!

Japan is definitly my favourite country in World Showcase. The food is lovely and the shop is HUGE it has everything in there. This includes Pick a Pearl where you can buy and pick your own oyster have it opened infront of you and then if you want have it set in jewellery.

This pavilion is unreal! Every hour or so a group of 3 or 4 Japanese drummers come out and play drums like you've never heard before. IT IS AMAZING. The one time I went to the pavilion I stood and watched them for an hour with my jaw wide open.

The Japan Pavillion has everything going for it. It is so beautiful, there are more great picture spots then you can count - great architecture in the buildings, the gardens, and the view out toward the water is great too.
The store is huge with lots to look at and there are great performers here too. It's very easy to spend a lot of time here.
