Positive aspects of the product (pros): food's not bad Cons: too loud
If you like Cuban food, this place isn't bad, but honestly I don't remember enjoying my meal because the night we went the band was waaaaaaayyyy too loud; could not have any conversation whatsoever. Yes I've been to rock concerts. This was way too loud.

The first meal we ate on our trip was at Bongo's. We made it a point to come back because it was so good and so affordable.
My girlfriend and I each ordered the Cuban Sandwich (which we had never tried) and it was delicious. The sandwich was huge and it came with fries for only about $8. That's way cheaper than the crappy sandwiches served at our resort. The entire meal, including drinks (and maybe the tip, I can remember), was only about $26. By far the best deal at Disney.
Later in the week, we ordered empanadas from the walk-up windows. I think they were less than $2 each and were also delicious. You can also order Cuban Sandwiches from the walk-up window too, and they're even cheaper than the sit-down section.
If you want cheap and delicious eats at Disney, go to Bongo's. It was by far our favorite spot.

We wanted something different and this worked well for us. All of us had something different. My two sons, which are sometimes adventuresome enjoyed it also. We will be going back again.

Good. Not great, but not average. Almost every seat has a good view of where they launch the new balloon ride. The restaurant is a bit noisy.

The food was very good. We had the Papa Rellena, Camarones al Ajillo, Pollo Empanizado - all very good. The atmosphere is fun but noisy. I would not recommend this place for very young children/babies.

My husband was so hyped to eat @ this restaurant, but came away very disappointed. We were seated upstairs pushed next to a pillar. The waitress was not very friendly at all. Our son spilled his drink and we had to get up to get napkins and new settings because no one came by. After we cleaned it all up, the waitress came by and asked if he would like a new drink after she noticed his glass was stuffed with wet napkins. Well-duh-yes. A wandering server then kept our drinks filled. A cook brought out the food. Our waitress only stopped by once after that. My son and I both ordered the Shirmp Creole. I enjoyed it, but he didn't eat any of his shrimp because he didn't like the taste of the sauce. He ended up only eating the rice. My daughter had the chicken bites with plantains- which ultimately was just fried chicken chunks. My husband had the Cuban Shreaded Beef- which was basically shredded pot roast. The waitress overcharged us on our bill and then couldn't figure out how to make a new one. She ended up charging us the larger amount and giving us the difference in cash. Overall this was a big disappointment. If you want exotic, flavorful Cuban food and good service, don't go here.

My wife comes from a Cuban family so this is a must-stop place to eat. This time we were there for lunch and had Cuban sandwiches. They are big sandwiches and come with a very generous serving of fries. My wife substitutes fried plantain chips for the fries. We also each had a mojito and materva (Cuban soda). We love going here and they have been very authentic each time we went.

I enjoyed my meal. We had the combination appetizer and then shared the flank steak. It was good, but very heavy. I should have ordered a vegetable to balance the meal. A lot of the appet. is fried and the steak was closer to well done instead of medium-well. If I go again. I'll vary my choices. We sat outside on a beautiful night and it was quite romantic.

This was my second time to Bongo's, hubby's first. LOVED my cuban sandwich, waitress let me substitute fried yellow plantains for my side -- YUM!!! Hubby had the shredded chicken sandwich, which he also enjoyed! I definitely love the Cuban flair!
