Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool is awesome. They have the ability to vary the waves. I enjoy when the water is bobbing.

You really have to watch your kids here, keep them close if they are not confident swimmers.
Apart from that its all good fun, and the waves are amazing.

I love the Wave Pool at TL. I can stay there all day and just catch waves. The only problem is if there are too many people and a wave comes, you end up with someone kicking you because you get all bunched up.

The huge wave pool produces perfect waves at perfect intervals, so it's easy to figure out when they are coming. It is strong enough to knock over kids and people who aren't strong swimmers, so show some caution here.
My DD and DH love this wave pool. They swim out as far as you are allowed (there's a rope) then body surf the whole way in -- and they can do this for an hour or two and just love it!!!

Amazing wave pool! I'm not huge on water parks.....I like beaches, lazy rivers and such....but I loved the huge tidal wave that stirred the people soup! Cachoo!

The huge waves this puppy put out are irresistible. Use caution as you really can get thrown off your feet, and elbows and kicks to the nose do happen!

Be very careful in this thing. We were in up to our knees and got hit with a wave. Spun my 12 year old upside down and she scrapped her back up pretty bad. The bottom is very rough. Had to go the nurses station. Really messed up our day.

This is by far the best wave pool that I have ever seen. It's very large and absorbs large amounts of people very well. The waves are nice and big but not so much so that you get wiped out. The ship in the background is a nice touch and the over all theming of the area is tropic heaven.

My friend and I stayed out as far as we could along the outside edge, but this was much too rough for us. Even at the edge we were constantly knocked down. After the surfing wave cycle was over (according to the life guard we had asked), a few bobbing waves came, and then more surfing waves. These waves took everyone by surprise and we were all knocked into each other. We left with scrapes and bruises. We are adults, 30-33 years of age at the time. Please watch your children closely!

The surf pool makes Typhoon Lagoon my favorite water park. I typically spend all day in the pool during the larger waves, only going to other aspects of the park during the lesser waves. If you swim out to where the water is deeper, the crowds are less.

I love this wave pool. You can body surf the waves if you catch it just right and it is one of my favorite things on property.

This was my favorite thing at either of the water parks. The first wave came when I wasn't very far out, and I fell and scraped up my foot pretty bad. When I swam farther out (above my head) it was fine-not too many people. The aftermath is the best, looking at all the people who are just shaking water out of their eyes and prepping for the next wave. I could stay here for hours!
