Positive aspects of the product (pros): unique Cons: dark, scary
I like this ride better than most people, but it does leave something to be desired. Can be scary for young kids and its hard to shake that chili dog odor. My oldest really enjoys it so we have been on it a lot so it holds some great memories for me. Not a must do, but a should do if it isn't busy.

I know there are some people who like this attraction. I just think it's plain and simple - gross. Maybe because I have 2 girls, we see nothing worthy of gas and burping!!!!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): the preshow Cons: too scary for young children
Alien Encounter was so much better! They have taken a theme that should appeal to young children (Stitch) and have made it into a very scary situation for young children. It is too dark and if nothing else all the screaming and crying children ruin the whole experience.

This attraction is one of the worst. I don't even ride it anymore. I am not a big fan of Stitch but there is so much more they could have done with this attraction -it's a shame...

We went into this ride because my won is a huge Stitch fan. I had heard about it being intense for little ones and had been on it when it was Alien encounter so knew what to expect. I told my daughter the lights would go out at times and not to be scared that Stitch wasn't scary just silly. This worked. My kids thought this was a GREAT attraction, they thought when Stitch "jumped around on you" and "burped" (which was so gross, smelled like Dorito's) it was halarious. For my husband and I, it was nothing special at all. The kids loved it, personally I thought it was a disappointment and wished they would have done more with this attraction. One positive was the line was only 10 minutes - I can see why ; )

This is one of my favorite and look foward to attractions in Magic Kingdom. You must ride this at least once, many may not like Stitch, but it is one of my favorites. The sensory effects are amazing, the stitch anaimatornic is unique, and the story is innovative and extremely funny.

The Imagineers that designed this attraction must have decided to see how much abuse a guest is willing to take if it has the Disney name on it. Really, just pass this one by.

Bypass this one, folks. Its odd, messy, and it releases this terrible odor. Also the "safety restraints" on the seat push your shoulders down very hard.

This is very disappointing. Another example of Disney sacrificing something wonderful that worked (Alien Encounter) for something with commercial value (Stitch). Pales in comparison to Alien Encounter. It's not scary (I guess it's not supposed to be), it's not funny, it's not entertaining.

Oh, no. It's time to rip this one out, folks. First of all, the cast members are ruder at this ride than any other WDW ride I've come across, and I'm sure it's because no one follows the loading rules and they are under a time crunch to get the ride started. Secondly, the kids can't go anywhere so as soon as it gets dark they just start screaming. Thirdly, the smells they shove down your nostrils make you want to wretch in your seat. Sit on a bench for ten minutes and save yourself the grief of experiencing the worst ride in the park.

I never rode on this ride when it was Alien encounter so well cmon its a pretty good ride.

Stitch's Great Escape is a Disney World attraction that can be skipped! Between the loud noises, dark atmosphere, and chili dog stench, there are not many features of this ride that are appealing in any way. Do yourself a favor and and ride the Carousel of Progress instead of this attraction!

I know most people hate this "ride" but I like it. My husband and I are huge Stitch fans and find this to be cute and funny.

I don't know why Disney hasn't closed this attraction. It's awful. There is nothing entertaining about it. It doesn't move and yet you're strapped in like it's a roller coaster. The seats are uncomfortable. It smells awful. And Stitch touches you! It's dark and must be very scary for little kids. I can't imagine even Stitch fans liking this one.

This is not a ride I recommend to anyone. We find the entire experience unpleasant, and mean-spirited. The only use I have for the ride is to gauge just how crowded the park is - if there is a line for Stitch, it's time to go back to the room to rest. Experience it if you must, but don't forego any better opportunities.

Not a very good attraction. A dark ride strapped into a chair effects can be intense. If you are claustophopic do not go on this attraction.

One of Disney's biggest attracion mistakes. Slapping Stitch on top of Alien Encounter leaves us with an attraction that is confusing, scary to small kids, and forgettable. The only redeeming quality is the animatronics, which are impressive. I think we would be better off using the Stitch AA's to fix our Tiki room--making it into the Aloha E Komo Mai version that Tokyo Disneyland has.

This is one of the biggest wastes of space at any of the parks. Even if you love Stitch, skip it. Between the awful smells, the shoulder harness constantly pushing on you, and the lame sound effects in the dark, I don't know who can say this is decent with a straight face.

It makes me sad I can't recommend this because I really do think the Stitch animatronic they created is pretty cool. Sadly, the show he's in is just terrible. I can't fathom why they decided to make him 'evil Stitch' in the initial incarnation since children would naturally be attracted to this show.
Shortly after opening it was revamped to this version with 'mischievous Stitch', and it just doesn't work relying on the story cobbled together with gross attempts at humor. Could have been a really good attraction but just falls flat. A real shame.

I guess im the only one who loves this ride. yes i know its alien encounter with a furry stitch, but i love the movie and the ride dose fit in with the opening seen very well. just try it hey you might love it too.

I cannot understate how much I hate this attraction. Unfortunately, I never got to experience it as Alien Encounter, so at least I don't have the disappointment that many others express.
The theatre still stunk when we came in, and reeked when we left. I felt so sorry for the little kids that were screaming and crying. I didn't know what to expect, so the lack of movement and story line really shocked me. I was only glad that we had not waited in line for this.

This attraction replaced "Alien Encounter" which was unique and scary...it had more of a universal teen to adult feel. Which is probably why the attraction didn't last.
Unfortunately, it seems as though Imagineering had no idea what to do with the building and went for a cheap, kids friendly replacement. I can't say how much I despise this attraction, this is an example of "lipstick on a pig". I will never ride this attraction again

I thought the ride was fun. A lot was unexpected, but that was what the fun of it was. I think they coined Stitch wonderfully, since he is a little prankster.
I would not recommend it to anyone who gets scared easily or little kids.
The chili dog smell isn't as bad as the Figment ride smell.

This is one of those attractions that I am unsure who it was designed for - it is scary for children and too juvenille for adults. We had a variety of ages and no one would like to visit it again - especially not the tween girls!
