This ride holds a special place for me. Maybe not very innovative, not fast, not new but I love this ride/show. I have to see it every trip. This is what Disney does best.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Nostalgic, Classic and Air Conditioned! Cons: The final Christmas Scene needs some updating.
Carousel of Progress is just good old fashion Disney nostalgic fun. Nothing fancy about it, but it's a good place to get off your feet for a while and be entertained.

This is a must do for us. Knowing that Walt had a hand in the creation of the attraction makes it all that more special for us. It's true Disney style. We walk out singing...and keep singing throughout the day. At our house, when you're having a rough day we always say "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow......." It's a great place to cool down from the hot sun as well. The seating is comfortable, it's usually quiet and provides a nice respite from the loud, hustle & bustle of Space, and Buzz.

I love this ride for many of the reasons mentioned above, but I wish they would add or update the last scene to make it more modern.

Out of date, but they should leave it that way. This is old Disney at its best. It's dark in there but all you do is sit and watch the audio-animatronics . You can't leave in the middle so if you have young kids that might not do well in the dark, skip this one.

Although this is a little outdated I love it. It is the oldest thing in the park. I love it a lot. I was very disappointed when rumors were going around that the were tearing it down but I think those are false. Over all great ride.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Just plain ol' fun Cons: I can see how this could get annoying after the fourth or fifth time
My wife and I were both pleasantly surprised by the Carousel of Progress. We thought the show was going to be boring and just a timewaster, but boy were we shocked. I thought the story was a lot of fun, and by the time we reached the last scene the entire audience was singing along with the song. Just make sure you don't get up during the show - or you will be yelled at. (We didn't get up, but someone else did.)

Whether its your first time at Walt Disney World or you are the twice a year visitor, The Carousel of Progress is an attraction that should not be missed! The song will be stuck in your head for HOURS, but it is totally worth it!

It is very nostalgic and great place to sit down and relax for 20 minutes. Love to sing the song as the carousel turns.

The Carousel is one of our very favorite rides and we make time for it several times each trip. ( even have the song on my iPod!). Part of the appeal is the connection of the ride to Disney's past, and the great influence Walt had on its creation. And never once have I been tempted to nap....

It really gets me upset when people dump on this attraction. Walt Disney personnally worked on this attraction for the 1964 Worlds Fair.
Think of it like this, if it wasn't for this attraction and a few others Walt probably wouldn't have been able to attract sponsors to build Disneyland and unltimatly WDW.
This attraction pays homage to Walt and his original dream.

Great classic Disney ride. Long, cool relaxing show. It's fun to see the old animatronics, and what the Imagineers back then thought the future would be like.
I hope they never change or remove this. Wouldn't be a visit to Disney without experiencing one of Walt's best.

A family favorite. Entertaining and relaxing show on comfy seats in a unique, moving (and air conditioned) theater. If you miss it, you're missing part of Disney history.
The final room was last updated in the 90s and is showing its age (laser discs and car phones?); needs some sprucing up.

classic Walt, one of the few rides left that's entertaining yet educational in the WDW.
It's unfortunate that the trend lately has been to get away from any education (Horizons, World of Motion, etc.) and go for the pure entertainment. The MK wouldn't feel the same without this attraction.
