Description: Add a touch of understated elegance to the summer ambiance of the turn of the century summer homes found on Martha's Vineyard, and you have Disney's Beach Club Resort. The pale blue and white multi-level buildings, with their fancy cut shingles, French doors and seashell motifs, were designed by renowned architect, Robert A.M.Stern. Designed stick-style, this was a popular architectural style for seaside wooden cottages in the 1860's and 1870's. Decorated with the white wicker furniture, hardwood floors and high ceilings, the seacoast imagery continues on to the outdoors where beachside cabanas line the white sand shores of Crescent Lake. The landscaping is also reminiscent of a New England style with magnolias, Japanese elms, Bradford pear trees, crape myrtle, gardenias and roses lining the courtyards and walkways. This deluxe resort is joined in the center by the Yacht Club.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location, pool!
Cons: Lack of counter service options

The Beach Club resort if a great place to stay if you are interested in a relaxed atmosphere, but still want to be near the excitement and night life!

You are walking distance to Epcot's World Showcase and The Boardwalk (5 to 10 minutes) or, if you are feeling up to a longer stroll, Disney's Hollywood Studios. Or, take a relaxing water taxi to Epcot's "back door" or the Hollywood Studios.

The rooms are nice, with a relaxing, pastel color scheme that looks like something out of a York Beach Cottage. The balconies, while too small to sit out on, are nice and offer a great view. If you get a waterfront room (on the pool or Crescent Lake), if is nice to look across and see the lights of the Boardwalk at night!

Speaking of night, there are a ton of activities, dance clubs, piano bars, street performers and more on Disney's Boardwalk!

There are two eateries, Beaches and Cream and Cape May Cafe. In addition, there is a very small sandwich shop in the gift shop (very good breakfast, but little else) and the pool-side snack shop (think burgers and fries, but far inferior to Beaches and Cream). However, The Beach Club's sister resort The Yacht Club has two table service eateries as well, The Captain's Grille and the Yachtsman Steakhouse. They are similar in menu's but the yachtsman has a far more "upscale" atmosphere. Those of us with kids might want to stay near the Captain's...

If you are looking for a quick meal, you do have options. There are a few places on the Boardwalk (the pastry shop, for one) or, you have literally a World of choices at Epcot's World Showcase. The downside is walking (short distances) and needing a park hopper option if Epcot is going to be your choice often.

This said, the soft sand-bottom pool complete with great water slide, lazy river, water volleyball, pool-side entertainment and whirlpools makes up for the lack of dinner options for the kiddos. Add in the beach fire sing-a-longs and nightly movies, and you have at least a full day's worth of Disney Magic without ever leaving your resort!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location. Pool is Amazing!
Cons: Lack of quick food

We recently stayed at the Beach Club for the first time. First of all you can't beat the location! The ability to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios (a bit of a hike)is such a plus, especially with small napping children! We also loved Stormalong Bay! We spent 2 resort days just relaxing at the pool, and the water slide is a blast!

The wife and I had a great date night over at Yachtsman, and the whole family loved trying to eat the Kitchen Sink!

Our only complaints would be that it is tough to get good food quickly. Beaches & Cream is so poppular it is almost always an hour plus wait, and the selection at the market is not very good. Our other minor gripe is that we found it difficult to find a room set up that worked well for two pack n plays...

Positive aspects of the product (pros): location, pool, setting, design, landscape
Cons: bad bus service, food

I just got home from staying at the Beach Club for the first time, and it's my new favorite resort in the whole world. It has THE best pool ever. The lifeguards are so nice and the slide is awesome! Love the sand bottomed pools and nightswimming is so fun. I also love the location. The Beach Club is literally in the World Showcase's backyard. The theme and designs for the hotel are stunning. I think the Beach Club is nicer than the Yacht Club.

There are just a few cons about the hotel. Buses take forever to pick us up from the hotel. We usually waited about 30 minutes for a bus. And I'm not a fan of the food at the hotel. But other than that, this is the best hotel ever!!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Close to Epcot, Boardwalk and Hollywood Studios
Cons: Must have reservations to eat at the hotel restaurant Cape May

We just got back from our Disney World vacation last week. The Beach Club Resort was amazing. This is our second trip to Disney World and the first time we stayed at the Grand Floridian, which was also very nice. We liked the Beach Club Resort the best. Our children really enjoyed the sand bottomed pool, water slide and Beaches and Cream icecream shop. I think they like the hotel better than the theme parks. The customer service at the Beach Club Resort is excellent. Upon arrival to the hotel, we were not happy with the location of our original room. Charlton, the front desk manager, gave us another room location that we were very happy with. On our last day, my Tiffany's diamond necklace was missing. I called the hotel security. Kristin, the maid service manager and Carol, a security officer arrived at our room. They moved the dresser, took apart the plumbing underneath both sinks and finally found it in the maid's vacuum cleaner. They located the maid's cart, emptied the vacuum cleaner bag and found the diamond first and then the chain. I still can't beleive they looked through a filthy hotel vacuum cleaner bag to find my necklace but they did. It's now at Tiffany's being repaired. Now I call that customer service!
Our room was really nice. The hotel recently remodeled the rooms and it shows. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked unbelievable.
There were a few things that we didn't like about the hotel. Don't check your luggage at the airport. It took us 4 hours to get our luggage. I didn't have swimsuites or comfortable shoes or we could have swam or went to Epcot. We decided to eat, well we couldn't do that either because we needed a reservation at the buffet. We went to Beaches and Cream and they were booked too. We were stuck for 4 hours with nothing to do but wait. It was frustrating. Next time, i'm not taking the luggage with me. Just leave off the yellow Disney tags, pick up your luggage at baggage claim and then get on the bus to the hotel. If there is one little thunder roar, they close the pool for 45 minutes. In Florida, storms come in and out several times a day. You have to get out of the pool, get all of your stuff together and leave the pool grounds until the storm is 6 miles away or 45 minutes. When the 45 minutes is up, the lifeguards clean up all the towels before the re-open the pool. They did this at least 2-3 times per day the entire 5 days we were there. That got old and annoying after the third day.
It was a great vacation. The Beach Club Resort is a great location. It's a 5 minutes walk to Epcot, a 10 minute walk to The Boardwalk or a 3 minute ferry ride, and a 10 minute ferry ride to Hollywood Studios.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location to Epcot
Cons: Shared Buses and Crowded Pool

We love the Beach Club for its location to Epcot, but if you like to swim with your kids or you like to watch them closely, Beach Club might not be for you.

The main pool is the huge selling feature to many, but it is very hard to keep track of your kids because the pool winds around. The pool is very crowded, and our family didn't like the sand bottom. It is not soft on the feet.

Overall, we love being so close to Epcot but the bus service being shared with so many resorts can be a pain.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): location & pool
Cons: quick service food

The Beach Club is a great resort! We loved being so close to EPCOT. It was convenient to just pop over for dinner. Being so close to the Boardwalk was also a great advantage!

Our room was a corner room with lots of light and a big balcony. We were upgraded to a king bed room which was wonderful! Our room was spotless and not once were we bothered by mousekeeping. There were plenty of trash cans in our room which was nice since we were traveling with a toddler. We never had to hunt for a place to toss something. We never heard any noise from the hallways, neighboring room or walkways below us.

The only negative thing I have to say about the hotel is the lack of quick service food options. We tend to eat lunch at the hotel and not having a place with a wide verity of food was disappointing. The other restaurants located at the hotel were fantastic. We really enjoyed breakfast at the Cape May Café and ate lunch at Beaches n’ Cream twice.

Overall, I think the Beach Club is a great place for families to stay. The pool offers something different for all ages of kids and spending a night on the beach watching a movie is a great way to unwind after a day running around!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Pool, walking distance to Epcot and Studios

Best pool in park! Love to walk to Epcot for fireworks at night. Great view of Boardwalk. Love Beaches & Cream for meals and ice cream.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): location, pool
Cons: expensive if you can't find a discount

My family's favorite resort. It is easy walking distance to Epcot, particularly if you request a room at the far end of the resort, although you then have further to walk if returning on the buses. You can also walk to the Studios almost as fast as the boats take you, especially if you have just missed one. The pool is spectacular.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

Absolutely wonderful! The bedding is enough to make you second guess wanting to go to the parks each day - you just want to stay in bed. The room service was wonderful, but very pricey. And the lobby is beautiful. The view from the room we had (concierge level facing the parking lot) was wonderful because from the balcony we could see Spaceship Earth. The grounds are pretty large, but beautiful. It does not seem particularly "Disney" until you think that this is just up the road from the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Wilderness Resort. My favorite of all the resorts we've stayed in. So peaceful.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Atmosphere, Pool, Location, Staff
Cons: Shared Buses, Price

The Beach Club is a gorgeous resort and its location (walking distance to Epcot and the Studios) can't be beat. We found this to be a relaxing resort and can't wait to return. The only negative we found was that shared buses (with Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin and Yacht Club) often took a long time. Overall, we love it!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Beautiful
Cons: Nothing

I loved the resort so much. It was everything I hoped for. The location on the Broadwalk is awesome to walk all day long. The fact that you can walk to Epcot or boat over to Disney Hollywood Studio is a plus. We liked the food at the resort also, it was tasty. Great place to go home too!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): location, best resort pool on property,
Cons: large resort

The Beach Club is my sisters favorite resort on Disney property. I would say it's mine too, however, I'm torn between here and the Wilderness Lodge. The Beach Club is a deceptively large resort with it's winding hall ways and enclosed garden areas. The rooms are nice, with soft color and that beach house feel. This resort has three awesome perks. First, location. It's no more than a five minute walk "leisurely" to Epcot's International Gateway. Second it shares with the Yacht Club the best resort pool on Disney property. The pool area is like a "light" water park with a waterslide, mini lazy river and sand all over the bottom of the pool. It's a large pool area but designed not to feel like it. Last, Beaches and Cream, the ice cream parlor. It's a 50's style desert diner that also sells hambergers, hot dogs and sandwiches, but the ice cream treats here are the main attraction.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great Location, Nice Theme
Cons: Some views aren't anything special

The Beach Club can't be beat for it's proximity to EPCOT. You can walk to the World Showcase in a few minutes. There is also boat transportation, but it'd probably be faster to walk. You can also catch a boat the Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The restaurants here are pretty good, but the standout is Beaches and Cream - with their decadent ice cream concoctions. Yumm Yumm.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Close to parks and Boardwalk
Cons: Sure some will say what? Too quiet!

I thought this hotel was very pretty and theamed according to the area. I stayed at the All-Star before I came to this hotel and I felt that I did not fit in as well at the Beach Club. Maybe just my personal opinion, but I felt it was quiet there and did not seem as inviting for families. It was hard to find a pool open later in the evening and had to get used to not having a food court. The restaurants were very nice and the whole Boardwalk area was great. Overall, this is a great hotel but just not for me.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Pool, proximity to Boardwalk and Epcot, dining options.
Cons: Theming is a bit generic.

This location is fantastic and the pool is an attraction in itself. This is a great location with a ton of great dining options which make it an excellent choice if you are on the dining plan.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Pool, location to EPCOT & DHS
Cons: Long hallways long walks to some rooms

We stayed here as part of a Land & Sea package last year. The room was beautiful. We had a long walk from the lobby, in fact our room faced the United Kingdom pavillion in EPCOT. The pool is amazing that has a sand bottom very unique. One feature at this resort that stands out to us is Art the greeter in the lobby. He is a wonderful man and is so friendly he makes coming into the resort particularly enjoyable.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): close walk to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, close to Boardwalk shops and entertainment, POOL!!!!, enjoying restaurants in the Yacht Club
Cons: our bed was very uncomfortable!, price

My wife and I stayed in the Beach Club Villas in August. We found the resort itself to be excellent in its location. We did, however, find that our room was "a little tired" . Our bed was extremely uncomfortable! It felt like the mattress was all out of shape, the furnishings seemed scratched up, and our rug was old.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location, amenities, pool
Cons: rooms were starting to show wear

My favorite hotel that I've stayed at on WDW property so far. The location is perfect, close to 2 theme parks and the Boardwalk. Stormalong bay is perfect for families doing half day theme park/ half day resort stays. Would highly recommend this hotel to family/friends.

I just wish the price was a little more reasonable especially during the busier times ($400/night is a lot for any hotel regardless of the location).

I guess the rooms are being rehabbed or have recently been rehabbed so that pretty much negates the only con I had.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Close Proximity to 2 Parks & Boardwalk, Cast Member Teena
Cons: NONE

The Beach Club is our favorite resort at Walt Disney World. We love being able to walk to 2 parks (EPCOT & HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS) and The Boardwalk! We enjoy having breakfast at Cape May Cafe and always find that we receive alot of character interaction time despite the fact we have no children. Stormalong Bay is a fantastic pool and if you are looking for a little quiet time you could always go to the quiet pool. The Beach CLub Marketplace is great for grabbing a quick bite before you head to the park or during the day. The lines move fast and you dont have to wait outside (like across the st at the boardwalk) to get a quick breakfast in.

The Staff at the Beach Club is fantastic in particular Teena The Greeter at The Beach Club is AWESOME!!!!!! She is a super nice & caring person, who enjoys making guests feel welcomed! We love Teena and we love the Beach club! We have stayed there for 3 years in a row and will continue to stay there going forward

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

We have stayed here twice and loved it. it is so worth the extra money to us. The hotel rooms are bigger and having a balcony is great. i love the fact that we can walk to Epcot and Disney Hollywood studios. Some morning we even walk through Epcot just to hop the monorail to Magic Kingdom. You can walk to mini golf too. The food here is great. And the pool well there is no better pool than a sand bottom pool.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location, Theming, Atmosphere
Cons:

The Beach Club is an excellent resort to stay at. It's eleglant and laid back at the same time. Not stuffy at all. Check in is smooth and fast. CM's accomodating. Many food options at the hotel, and the surrounding resorts. Walking distance to Epcot and The Boardwalk.
