Description: The tour begins in a cozy theater where a Disney Animator brings Mushu to the screen. While the animators are often a bit awkward in their role as host, Mushu makes it fun. It's a cute and informative presentation that all ages can enjoy.

Once this brief introduction to the animation process is over, you'll go into the next section where there's a selection of interactive displays that you're welcome to "play" with.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): lots of character greets, interactive games
Cons: none

This is the best palce for character meet and greets in Hollywood Studios. Chip and Dale, Pinocchio and Geppetto, Mickey, Lotso, the Incrdibles and Frozone, and even the hard to find Pocohontis were all there at the same time.

The interactive games are fun. I took the personality test twice and both time it said I was most like Cogsworth (weither thats a compliment or inslut is yet to be seen, lol)

The Animation Academy class is taught by a real Disney Animator. I was so proud of my Piglet drawing that i bought a frame for it.

Never watched the video so i cant comment on it.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Sketching a disney character
Cons:

I really enjoy this attraction. Though I feel the show portion could be improved and made even more interesting, I never miss it when I visit. By far, my favorite part is sketching the characters afterward.. each time I'm amazed at how I, as someone with almost no artistic talent, can end up with a drawing that looks pretty good! I love looking back at the sketches and remember the actual experience of drawing and the anticipation of how the end result will look!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): fun for all
Cons:

This is one of the funnest things to do at DHS. To be able to draw a character with an imagineer is just awesome! I recommend everyone try this once. The pre movie is very funny to!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Learn about animation and try your hand at drawing a Disney character
Cons: Animated films are no longer created at the studios

The movie is not as good as it once was and there is no longer a tour since animated films are no longer created at the Studios. Still I recommend this. The movie is entertaining and the whole family loves the Animation Academy which is inside this attraction. There a Disney cast member teaches a group of about 30 people how to draw a Disney character. I've seen people attend several sessions, learning how to draw a different character every time.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): learning to draw a Disney character
Cons: no longer has the animators...so sad

I love everything about Walt Disney. Yes, I was fortunate to tour this when various movies were being made, and saw the animators...what fascinated me was their desks with their momentos...but now you can go into an area and learn to draw a character by one of the disney artists. I have done this all day long, just coming out and going in line again. I love it.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Drawing the characters is a lot of fun
Cons: Everything else is a little boring. Just a little.

The show they make you sit through is a little boring (Mushu? Really?) but once you get into the attraction there is a lot to explore. One of the best experiences is the character drawing class. My wife and I had a blast drawing and then comparing our Donald Ducks. Also, seemed like a good place to visit characters.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Nice Break, Usually Good Characters After, Drawing Class
Cons: No More Animators

I like this attraction. True, it was WAY better when you got to the see animators, but it's still cute now, I like the part with Mushu and usually the characters are pretty good in the area you enter into after the show. I love my picture with Sorcercer Mickey. Also the drawing class you can take it really great. I can't draw at ALL, but I came out with a very decent Donald Donald, Pluto and Chip. (3 different classes)

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Cute intro with Mushu
Cons: Nothing else to it

Cool and comfortable theater. The introduction with the CM talking to Mushu the animated dragon (voiced by Eddie Murphy) was cute. Then you go into another area with some hands on displays that are really fairly boring. There are some characters in this area for a meet and greet and the lines were pretty short.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fun intro with the animator
Cons: Boring after the short intro

This attraction used to be a 9 or a 10. Now there is nothing to it. I remember going through and seeing animators working on a show called "The Bears" it was later renamed "Brother Bear". They had storyboards up. They would let you see work being done. Now they show you a model of a animators desk. Don't waste your time on this one.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Learning about animation
Cons: No actual animation!!

I took this tour back when there was an actual animation studio in the back. That was something else, and I felt like I was walking into a holy place. Now, there is no point to the attraction. It is just a animation showcase. If they can't bring back the studio, then they should at least put a better display in there. For example, I would see an entire attraction with just the storyboard pictures they have in the queue.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Walt!
Cons: Nothing

What more can be said for an attraction that educates you on all things Walt! The documentary is very informative and the walk though has LOTS of great Disney history to look at.
