Description: While not an actual attraction, kids can make their own fun in this 11,000 square foot play area based on the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" movie.

Surrounded by 30 foot tall blades of grass, oversized mushrooms, 40 foot tall bumblebees and a huge 52 foot leaking garden hose, children can explore the root maze tunnels, sit on a giant ant and slide down larger than life film strips, flower petals and tree stumps.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons: it is an oven

Not a place where you want to be with kids. It is outside and enclosed with concrete walls, like an oven no air.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Caters to all ages, unique
Cons: HOT!

My 1 year old LOVES this area! When you enter, there is a smaller area to the left with a short slide, perfect for toddlers. There is a ramp, rather than stairs to get to the little slide, and nearby are some stairs that they can practice going up and down in. The whole area is pretty soft, so even if they fall down it won't hurt. We also explored the caves and, my goodness, there is so much in that area! There were older kids playing hide and seek-what a great area for that game! The theming is amazing in there.

The only negative I have is that it is HOT. If you have a little one who you still have to follow around on play areas, you will sweat. Some of the caves are short, so you'll be bent in half toddling through them! But, it really is fun and worth your time, energy and comfort.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): a great down time for kids
Cons: gets crowded, no where for old grannies to sit

Just like the Boneyard at AK, this is a great place for kids to let off steam. They can run and jump and play, and slide, it is great, and so imaginative

Positive aspects of the product (pros): excellent design and theming
Cons: limited to a particular age group

When my children were young, they always wanted to visit this play area. It is mostly covered and has a few water spouts to help cool off in the Florida heat. There is not much for parents or older children to do but watch the younger ones play.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Clever themeing
Cons: Good for its time but outdated.

I think this should either be re-themed for A Bug's Life or removed. Honey I Shrunk The Kids is a distant memory for most people, if at all, at this point. A good location for another E-Ticket.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Shady, one entrance/exit.
Cons: Difficult to keep track of kids.

Every time we go to this park we find it difficult to round up the kids to leave. There are several good "hiding spots" with no good vantage point with line of sight to most of the park. I recommend trying to sneek by this attraction before your kids notice. It's just a park, after-all.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): good place for kids
Cons: can get lost

This is a good place for the kids to play and blow off steam but there are alot of places they can get lost in. Make sure you watch them.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): The kids will love this attraction.
Cons: Nerve-wracking for mothers.

I was very upset when, after waiting 20 minutes for this to open, I found out there was no movie!! LOLOL! So beware, the movie is over at EPCOT- the attraction is alone here at DHS, which I suppose makes sense as it's a movie-set style attraction.

The pictures I got of my kids and hubby playing with the giant props in this are are fantastic. Speaking for myself, it was annoying. I'd rather be doing some attractions than standing around wasting precious time. I also had heart attacks repeatedly as I kept losing sight of my kids.

My suggestion would be to tour this attraction on your second day of DHS, or while waiting for a fastpass window.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Nice playground for the little ones
Cons: There's nothing to this if you're over the age of 6

This is a fun little playground . . . but . . . did you really spend a couple hundred bucks for the family to get in and your 4 year old could go to a playground?

There is surely a playground within a 15 minute walk from your house, I expect a little more excitement than a playground for my money.

This would have been a lot better realized as the line que for "Honey I shrunk the audience" at Epcot.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Kids LOVE it
Cons: Get ready to loose your kids

This is a great place to allow kids to blow off some of the steam that can occur after having to slowly wait in line all day. My daughter loves this place and I can certainly understand why.

The main problem for us was that there is no way to keep up with your child. Within 5 minutes, my wife and I decided to post one of us at the entrance in order to ensure that she would walk out looking for us if/when she lost us or something worse. It is a great play area and each park should have it's own version.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great secondary attraction for little ones
Cons: not so good for very little ones

I have 2 daughters and the 4 1/2yo absolutely loved this playground and didn't want to leave. There was too much "big" stuff that the 2 1/2yo wanted to go on but had troubles with. If your child is under 3 i would consider something else, but for that 3-6 range this attraction was great.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great playground for kids
Cons: Beware the exits -you WILL lose your kids

This playground is very imaginative and really does a lot of things well. It seems to recreate the movie scenes nicely, and the kids have a lot of fun playing on the over-sized objects.

I have two objections to this area - first, it always seems grimy, and in need of a power-washing or a large slathering of Purell. More troublesome, though, is the fact that the entrance and exit are not located within easy visual site of one another. You can tell a first-timer who are blithely sent their little one into the playground only to realize some minutes later that the exit is around the corner. As one of those panicky parents myself once upon a time, I always try to warn parents to go with their child, or at least station one on each exit point.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good For Kids,
Cons: Gets Crowded, very few places to sit. Feels Dirty and Creepy.

This is more of a personal thing for me, but I absolutely hate this area. It feels creepy and dirty, but I guess I'm supposed to be a bug and well bugs live very close to the dirt and everything probably looks creepy from their view.

My daughter does enjoy playing in there, but so many slides and tunnels lead to other areas of the play area and it becomes hard to keep track of your kids. It also gets very crowded in there with lots of screaming going on. **Headache alert**

I know for the most part WDW is a very safe place, but this is the one area where I really feel like I could lose track of my daughter. She's older now, so I'm getting a bit more comfortable in our ability to keep an eye on each other, but when she was little, this area gave me heart palpitations. I'd really rather skip, but she enjoys it, so I put up with it.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): cool spot on a hot day, fun theming for the kids
Cons: n/a

This is one of our favorite "relaxing spots" at Hollywood Studios. On a hot day in Disney this is a great getaway where the kids can play in a shady area with water fountains and play equipment and the parents can watch, grab a drink and relax under the fans that are blowing. Our kids love the slides, spider webs and water areas here, we just love taking a seat and relaxing. It has never been overly crowded and always seems about 20 degrees cooler than the rest of the park on a hot day. If you have kids you have to check it out!
