Description: Test Track closed 4/2012- 11/30/2012

Test Track has been one of Epcot's most popular attractions since it opened. It's least crowded (briefly) when Epcot opens. This is one ride where you'll want to use FastPass to avoid a long wait. Get it early as they do run out of them most days. If you don't mind being split up, another option is the Single Riders line.

The queue is noisy but fun. As you wait, you'll see different safety "tests" being conducted. You'll advance into a holding area for the pre-show where you're ushered into a room to watch a four minute video overview of the attraction. The next queue is relatively short and fast moving. This is where you get in your convertible, buckle up, and head onto the Test Track. You're stopped for a quick seatbelt check, the light turns green, and with tires squealing, you're on your way. The ride ends when your car bursts through the wall onto the outside track. The course has steep banks that add to the thrill factor as you reach maximum speed of 65 MPH.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

I picked up Fastpasses for this right after rope drop on 10/8. Unfortunately, the ride was closed the entire day due to inclement weather. It was closed for most of the morning on 10/9 as well, but we were able to ride around 6:15pm. They had opened the FP machines earlier in the afternoon, but we missed it, so we chose to use the single rider line instead.

We were able to stay together through most of the queue, and were placed in the same car, in separate rows. The ride is intense at parts, but also fun.

I don't like that there is so little time to scan your Photopass card after the ride, especially when there are multiple families in the car.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Longest and Fastest Ride
Cons:

Nothing like the wind in your hair as you zip around a track at 65 mph! And the other testing areas can be quite thrilling too!

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

I'm glad I went on this ride once, but it's one I'll skip next time around.

The line was very long, but the wait was interesting, air conditioned, and educational for those who don't know much about cars. The ride wasn't as exciting as I expected it to be, but it was still fun. Test Track would be appropriate for a group with a wide range of tolerances for thrill rides.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): great ride to tie safeties and thrills together
Cons: the car show/dealer at the end

The stand-by line tends to get very long, but if you don't mind breaking up from your group at the end, get in the singles line. The queue area is interesting to see how some tests are performed.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): free ride photo, awesome queue area, high speed thrill.
Cons: lines get long if in the standby line, post show area is a glorified car show

Test Track is a wonderful ride where you sit in a test car as its put through its paces. test include rough roads, ABS system, hot and cold environments, and even a barrier test.

Best part is when the doors open and you race around the outside of the pavilion at 60 MPH.

Lines can get long in the standby line but Test track has Fastpass and a single rider line if you dont mind getting split up.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

We waited between 20-30 minutes with Fastpasses on the evening of 5/27. This is one of my favorite rides in Disney, and my mom loves it too! We also really like that the picture can be added to Photopass for free!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Younger visitors will like it
Cons: line it crazy long

I like the ride, but The World of Motion was one of my very favorite rides at Walt Disney World. I was crushed when they took it out. It was SO popular too. I must admit that Test Track is a good replacement. The cars at the end were more futuristic years ago. Is is just a regular car lot now. Not that exciting to me. The ride it good though.

Definitely for the car enthusiast. Still it's fun for those who know nothing about cars. Quite an experience going through the test process.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Nothing else like it!
Cons: long wait time

You won't find anything else like it! You sit in a racecar and go through all types of check points for example they 'test' your brakes and make you think you're going to crash into a wall then you get outside on the test track and go crazy speeds!! so fun! get a fastpass tho. cuz the lines are always so long!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Best ride at EPCOT
Cons: They need to fix a few things like the tv's in the cars

One of the best rides, especially the outside part. I have ridden this ride to many times to count and there are still more to come.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Everything
Cons: None

This ride is truly amazing in every aspect and I always am looking forward to riding it every single time I go to Epcot. The atmosphere in the line while waiting is great and gets you in the mood for the actual ride. The ride is great because it is one of the longer rides at WDW. Expect very long lines and breakdowns at somewhat frequent times.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Ride is enjoyable
Cons: after 10 years it still breaks down

I was at epcot for the soft opening of this ride... and it broke down. we waited 3 hours to ride it, it broke down multiple times. This was to be expected as it was not yet launched and it likely had pre-launch testing and hiccups to work through. Thats not why i rank it as poor, Np thats because 10 years later I come on my honeymoon and decide... hey its got fast pass, my wife hasnt seen the ride, lets do it.

So we get our fast passes and come back at the appointed time... only to find its broken down and the fast pass is now good any time but we will have to come back.

So we do, much later in the day, and we get to finally go inside. Once inside we are relieved to see a shorter line and figure ok 20 min tops we will be on the ride.... and it breaks down again. 45 minutes later we are finally watching the video. and 15 minutes later we are on the ride.

I can safely say this ride is not worth an hour wait. And the fact that it still breaks down with such frequency (it was the same way back at its soft opening) I say avoid this at all cost.

This ride needs major rework in the ride control department, so that it wont breakdown as much. As is, I can not and would not recommend it to anyone.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fast, Fun, Great Theme,
Cons: Long Line, No ride in the rain,

This ride is actually really good. You are in a GM testing facility and having to test a test car on the test track. This ride involves fast turns, high speed runs and a crushing 65 mph g-force turn outside. If you hate high speeds, run as fast as you can away from the ride.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A decent (brief) thrill in Epcot
Cons: Poor story, mostly boring, replaced attraction that was a classic

I may be in the minority, but I remain disappointed by TT. First of all, it replaced World of Motion, which was an original Epcot attraction that was a true gem. This replacement was not an upgrade, in my opinion. Secondly, there is a weak story, and it makes little sense in Future World. Third, there is only a "thrill" in this "thrill ride" at the end, and its short. Everything before this moment is underwhelming. TT gives a short cheap thrill that doesn't seem to stay with me after leaving the exit (as opposed to World of Motion, which left me with happy feelings and a decent education about the history and future of transportation). I skipped it the last time I was in Epcot - I find it not worth the wait or the run to get FastPasses.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): educational
Cons: long wait times

This is my son's favorite attraction. He likes the speed at the end of the ride.

Be sure to use fast pass here when possible, or use the single rider line if your group doesn't mind being split up. The stand-up lines can get very long here. But, be sure to use the stand-by line at least once because you don't want to miss the cue area for this attraction. There is a lot to be learned here, if you are so inclined.

This is more than a ride for me, it is an educational experience. It's interesting to see the kinds of tests that are done on vehicles before they are sent to market.

Look for hidden Mickeys in the hot/cold chambers as well as in the picture that is taken during your ride.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A thrill ride for people who don't like thrill rides
Cons: Second row of seats is a tight fit

I am generally not a big fan of thrill rides. If I know a roller coaster is going to flip me upside down, for instance, I chicken out in a heartbeat. Even standing outside the Test Track Pavilion for the first time was mildly intimidating. Hearing the screams of passers by as they zoom around the front of the building can either be exciting or frightening, depending on your perspective.

However, my wife, who is a thrill-ride junkie, persuaded me to give a Test Track a try, and I was not in the least bit diappointed. At roughly 65 mph, it lives up to its designation as the fastest ride ever created for Walt Disney World. However, the thrills within the ride are all of a nature that does not overwhelm someone like me. Basically, if you can handle driving your own car on a freeway in a major city, then Test Track ought not bother you.

The only downside is that if you sit in the second row and stand at a height of 6' 0'' or taller, then your knees will be uncomfortably crammed against the seat in front of you. Ask for a seat in the front row, and you'll have all the space you need.

Enjoy!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): good queue
Cons: what is all the fuss about?

I am not sure what the draw is with this ride. It does not go all that fast. Sorta overrated, if you ask me.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): fun ride
Cons: speed can scare some

I love this ride. The lines can be long but not boring as there is a lot to see throughout. It does go fast and has some quick turns so be aware if you have neck or back problems. If you like cars, thrills or speed then this ride shouldn't be missed.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fast and exciting
Cons: Long lines

Another of the top attractions at WDW in my opinion. Lots of surprises and a really fun, fast ride. The lines can get very long, and FastPasses can be used up quickly. However, worth the wait.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): All ages can enjoy this
Cons: The "thrill" portion is WAY too short.

Going in to our first WDW trip, this was on my top 5 list of must do's. I had seen so many images (moving & still) of the part of the ride that takes you outside, zooming around the track and I couldn't wait to go for a ride!

We got in our car and drove through the various tests ~ this part of the ride came as a total surprise to me. While it was fun and different, I was itching to get outside and put the pedal to the metal.

Finally, here we go, we're speeding up! I'm holding on! Wait? I have to get out of the ride now?? It's over??

The ride as a whole is a decent length (I don't know the exact time, so I won't presume to guess), but the best part is way too short. The only roller coasters I ride are the Disney ones, so I'm not a big thrill junkie, but they definitely need to extend the speed track. Especially with the way they build up to it and promote it.

During our 2nd trip, we decided to give it another shot since we knew what we were in for this time. We were having a great time, we break through the barrier, and instead of hitting the landmark speed, the ride comes to a slow crawl and then to a dead stop. We were stuck on the ride, in the back seat, with the car at a 90 degree angle. I felt like I was going to fall out (I wasn't and didn't, but it was an awful feeling ~ I stayed calm because there was a little girl in our car). It was a horrible experience and I have no plans to ride this again any time in the near future.

Because I understand this is a one-off situation, I gave the ride a 7. For the general public that doesn't particularly like thrill rides, this ride is great for you. And for kids, too. For adults looking for some excitement......eh. Not so much.
