In my opinion, this was a TERRIBLE ride. Let's start from the beginning.
First I should say that that my aunt and uncle recommended this ride. That was the whole reason why my family went on it. The lines were very very very very long.
Also they had mini games that you could play while you were waiting. Those games were pretty bad too, but it did help pass the time.
When we finally got on the ride, we were placed in the last row. When the ride started, I could hardly see anything, there were feet hanging all around that obstructed my view.
Also the video was not in the best condition. It had lots of scratches and was some what blurry.
The thing I some what liked were the scents (ex: you smelled orange when you went through the orange grove)
Overall I did not like this ride. My dad, my brother, and I did not like it. However my mom liked this ride so that's why I gave it a 2.

A favorite. I don't ride roller coasters because of motion sickness. Beware: if you are prone to motion, you may be affected. but it's not too bad. All you have to do is close your eyes if it bothers you. It's all virtual reality with very few movement. : Posted via eTicket

This is my favorite ride in the "World". We rode it three times on our most recent vacation. At 9:30am on 10/8, the posted wait was 20 minutes but I think it was actually less. We were placed in row B1 without asking.
We rode it later that evening in row A2 using FASTPASS, again with a short wait.
We rode it the next afternoon with FASTPASS again, and were in row B2.
The soundtrack to this attraction is amazing, and I listen to it on CD quite often. My only complaints are that the film and/or screen has obvious dirt streaks on it that are a bit distracting, especially in the back rows. Also, the pre show video gets more ridiculous every time I watch it. "These little beauties" and the thumbs up are just too funny.

I highly recommend hitting this as the very first thing you do that day. Lines get very long very fast. I've seen a 60 minute wait during Extra Magic Hours! Fastpasses are a must.
Soarin makes you feel like your flying over California from the moutains in the north to the San Deigo Harbor in the south. Disney even pipes in smells like orange groves and sea air.
If your in the 2nd or thrid row, the feet of the peole in front can be a distraction.

I was a brave parent and went on this ride with my kids I do have a few motion issues. However this did not affect me . We were in the first row,which meant we were highest up and our feet appeared to be dangling over nothing. yes I realize this is for the sense of flying how ever even the smallest little bar to rest them on would have made me possibly enjoy the ride. I felt that I was going to slip out of the seat the whole entire ride. So my hands were very sore from gripping the arm rests. I didn't even notice the scents. Never again for this mom.:)Unless I get a foot rest. The scenery was neat though I can see why some like it so much.

Very awesome ride and would recommend it to everyone. It is awesome flying through the air and smelling the smells of the area you are flying over. The scenes don't go together and the extreme cuts lead to motion sickness. Would be really cool if the ride was changed to Florida, flying up the beaches, over the everglades, over the keys stuff like that would be better.

I read an eariler review of this attraction and was quite shocked with the wording placed in the review. I will say that "a mob of Disney fans with pitchforks and torches will not take me from my house in the dead night" because I loved this attraction, and so does everyone else! The only negative to this ride is the long wait-times only because the ride is so popular to everyone! The ride is very realistic to every detail. The scenery of California is amazing, the music is relaxing, and the smells are wonderful. I would also say that it would make more sense if they made it based on Florida, since the attraction is in Florida. Still an amazing ride!

Wonderful attraction. Too many great things to mention. Nevertheless, there needs to be something done about such long, LONG wait times. I relaize some of this is just the nature of theme parks, but 180+ minute wait times for this or ANY attraction is ridiculous (at Christmas, I saw a 265 minute wait time. Even got a pic of it). Otherwise, I'd give it a 10.

Soarin' is one of the few rides that can live up to the ridiculous Disney hype and long lines. Even on repeated rides, it remains a brilliant and wondrous experience. Who knew being able to swing your legs over a movie screen was such a great thing? And the extra touches like the wind and smells raise the quality to near-perfect levels. I still flinch at the golf ball and marvel at the aerial views after many rides.
The only downside involves the view, which is best in one row and inferior in the other two. It's still a great ride, but it's slightly less in certain spots. There's also the minor issue of a ride about California in Future World. I hope there will be a new version someday that differs from the original California. Regardless of these issues, it's still a classic Disney ride that matches the best created when Walt Disney was alive.

Despite everyones best efforts, no review on here can give this attraction justice. Trying to explain the experience to those who have never been on is futile, you just have to go on. That being said, you never quite re-capture the feeling you had your very first time, but very enjoyable with each additional ride nontheless.

This is a fabulous attraction! The feeling of flight is something that is created very well here. It is something that everyone can experience. I even took my 86 year old grandmother on this and she loved it!
Make use of fast passes here whenever possible. The stand-by line can get extremely long.
