Great attraction for kids to get there hands on and have something to do for awhile. As a parent, I also found some of the things to be quite interesting too!

There isn't a real focus on innovation as you would expect. I love learning about new things and this is just same old stuff that's been around for years. Its alot of empty space

Innoventions was more enjoyable several years ago. Even my video game savvy teens have had no interest after they removed that section.

If you only have one day at Epcot, skip it. It's a nice break during the heat of the day, or when it's raining! The hurricane exhibit is actually kinda neat. It seems to be a rotating hit-or-miss kind of exhibit.

If you have several days at the park spend a few hours in both innovations buildings as there are many cool educational things to do.
Most people don't have the extra time to just putt around and wonder through these nicely done diversions.

I really liked this area for all of the great info it contains. It didn't take long though before my kids were wanting out!
It is somewhat interactive and helps to draw and keep the kids attention, but about 20 minutes per side is all thats needed.

Disney is almost required to have an attraction like this, but there is no WEENIE, meaning nothing to draw you in.
I've run through this place three times and I can't remember anything that I saw.

The content

I wish they would make this about innovative inventions (aka 'Innoventions') again. Velcro was an innovative invention ... in 1941. This is supposed to be the "Road to the Future"; sadly a lot of it is just a waste of space. But it's air conditioned space so it's not a total loss. The Segway demonstration area can be fun if you have time to kill.

Should skip if you're on a time crunch
|
|
If you only have one day at Epcot, I recommend skipping Innoventions, but that is not to say it isn't an enjoyable experience. In fact, I could probably spend 3 or 4 hours in Innoventions interacting with all of the displays - it's a great place to be when it is raining or when it is just too hot to move. That being said, investing those hours into touring World Showcase is a much better use of that time.
So take two days to do Epcot!

I give this place a ten because of Segway Larry.....I LOVED the segway area where you can learn to ride one...for free! It was a blast! I also noticed a nice area for kids to play with arm chairs that would have been nice and kinda quite to rest or have snacks/naps with the kids.

While I enjoy walking around and taking in "inoventions" I always feel like I should be on the rides. This is a great place to just hang with the kids and spend quality time that doesn't involve rushing to a ride and waiting in line.

This used to be so much fun to explore, it still is in parts but they took so much of our favorites out that it seems more like a big advertisement now. We do enjoy the safety house and competing against one another, my daughter enjoyed the velcro station where she made a velcro doll and could keep it and we enjoyed the velcro show and were called on stage to do a game show together as a family using velcro so that was fun. I wish they would bring the robots back!

Interactive, engaging, great place to escape the sun

Somewhat commercial schiling, takes time away from visiting other attractions
|

Innoventions or "Interventions" is a wonderful where children and adults alike can engage in hands on activities. A quick escape into Innoventions can provide a tremendous relief from the blazing Florida sun. However, it may be hard to take time away from visiting other, mor marquee attractions, Innoventions is still worth a look if you have extra time during your visit.

The video games

My kids love the Fire Safety attraction and the fire truck has a camera where you can take a picture of yourself by the truck, add hats, sayings, and even a Dalmatian and email it out. The new Slapstick Studios show about Velcro is really cute and the ladies running the show are hilarious. The new Velcro frogs that you can make and keep don’t compare to the old plastic robots but the kids still enjoyed it.
My husband and I always enjoy the House of Innoventions and we also enjoyed StormStruck. Our three year old didn’t care for the wind in StormStuck and I saw a few other young kids that looked like they were ready to bolt.
The video game section is a little blah for us. We are a family of gamers so standing around playing games that we have at home doesn’t have much appeal.

Yes, I meant to have the educational part be both the pro and con. If we have only one day at Epcot we skip these, if we have multiple days it's a great way to kill some time explore a bit. When my kids were younger they loved it because they didn't know they were learning. Now they're onto it and don't want to go. They used to love the plastic robot making, the recycled paper making and the fire game.
