This ride is extremely fun, watch out, you'll probably want to ride it over and over. This combination of Buzz Lightyear story line and shooting game is very successfully executed. Almost anyone would enjoy this.

This is easily our favorite ride in the Magic Kingdom. We rode it twice on 10/10. The first time was around 5pm and we waited about 20 minutes, if that. The second time was around 8pm and it was a walk on.
The only complaint I have is that you can't always tell what you're hitting. The second time around I managed to hit one of the "magic targets" in the first room, and instantly got 100,000 points.

hard to tell what lights are from what gun, one car i had only spun 1 way

always have a blast on space ranger spin. you can try to top your friend's score or if you travel alone like me you can try to beat your own score.
With all the laszers being red its hard to see which one is yours and last time I went on it the car i had would only spin counterclockwise no matter which way i moved the joystick. Other than that its a great attraction

The loading area has a moving conveyor belt, so the line moves almost continuously. Lots of fun. BUT the ride does end really quickly and it's hard to tell what you're aiming at most of the time. The rating would be much higher if not for those things. Men in Black ride at Universal is a lot better IMO. But we still like this one a lot.

We rode this twice in a row at park opening on 5/24/10. Walked right on. So much fun! My mom and I were car partners, and I beat her twice! The only negative that I can think of is that you can't really tell what you're aiming at.

When this ride was new, I LOVED it! So, I was excited to try it again this trip. Earlier in the day I had ridden Toy Story Mania (at the studios) and this ride did not even compare. I would recommend riding this before TSM, or at least not on the same day so that you are less biased than I was.

It's fun for all ages! Me and my dad always compete against each other everytime we go. This is definately one of my favorites in the Magic Kingdom. The line can sometimes get long but everytime I've gone its never gotten too long. Don't you dare miss this amazing ride!  I <3 it!

It's just not Toy Story Mania
|

Prior to my first ride on Toy Story Mania, I would have rated Buzz a little higher. Sure, it was never Men In Black, the standard for this type of attraction, but it is a top-notch shoot-em-up good time.
The one feature of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin that is unique is the guest's ability to spin the ride vehicle. This definitely contributes to the fun factor as riders can turn themselves around and shoot at targets they've already moved past.

This is a great place to have a competition with your family members to see who can score the highest. Just don't go up against my DS since he almost always scores over 500,000 points!
Use fast pass here if you can because the lines can get long.
The only thing I really dislike about this ride is that one person controls the way the car turns, while the other person is at their mercy when trying to aim at the targets.

This isn't my favorite ride. Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios is a bit similar and is way better than this ride. This ride is pretty good but if there are long lines then skip it.

Every ride is different, and it's fun to try to better one's score or compete.
Sometimes it's hard to tell where you're aiming at, and the gun is stationery unlike the ones at DLR.

One of the most fun interactive rides out there. Its always great to go with a group of friends (young, old or in between) and try and outdo each other. The line is fairly quick moving which allows for multiple competitions! Dont try finding which targets give more points since they are constantly being changed, tho one that has remained fairly consistent is the BACK of the orange robots hand towards the beginning... thats a good 50,000 points. :o)

This ride is fun, but I think it's lost something since the opening of Toy Story Midway Mania at DHS. It's fun to shoot at the targets but it's kind of difficult to tell which red dot is yours. Still, the line moves quick and it's fun. We ride it every trip.
