Description: Year Opened: 1971

There's something about Peter Pan's Flight that makes it one of the most popular attractions in the Magic Kingdom.

It's about as low tech as you can get and hasn't changed since it opened over 30 years ago. There are no fancy animatronics and a lot of the 'special effects' are created via glow in the dark paint. It's a very simple ride, especially by today's standards. Still, there's that Disney magic that makes it special in a way that's hard to describe.

Maybe it's the fact that your pirate ship 'flies'. You're looking down as you fly over the Darling's nursery, London, past the mermaids, and through the battle between Captain Hook and Peter Pan. The Croc is waiting for his nemesis in the end.

This is an attraction that you definitely should try to experience. Don't be surprised if you feel like a kid again who believes that with a little faith, trust and pixie dust you can fly.

If there's the usual long wait, Fast Pass is the way to go. Guests in wheelchairs must be able to transfer.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): cute for little ones
Cons: long lines and very short rides

Its cute, I must say... but the lines are over an hour long all the time and the ride is only about less than a minute. Its not worth the wait really

Positive aspects of the product (pros): everything
Cons: nothing

There is something magical about this ride, that keeps people coming back for more. It might be the fact that it is a classic. Or simply, the feeling of flying. What ever it is l, it works, because this ride disband favorite of everybody I know.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Classic
Cons:

Here's a classic ride that is worth a look. It's not as spectacular as other rides are known to be, but it is enjoyable now and then and especially for kids.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Wonderful, classic Disney ride
Cons:

Even though the lines are always long at this WDW classic, it's still worth the wait. It's more based on flying over Neverland than going through the story. No matter how old you are, you'll love Peter Pan's Flight!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Absolute must. Great classic.
Cons: Long lines

We went March 2011 and have been going to Walt Disney World for over the past 30 years. It is still the most popular ride in Magic Kingdom and if you ask a cast member, they can't explain why. It must be the flying over London and Neverland. It now offers a fast-pass so that can help with the line some but while we were there, the standby was over 2 hours long. It is a must do ride but be prepared to wait.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): everything
Cons: lines

This is my most favorite ride in WDW. I however will not wait in a long line. Fastpass all the way. I think it just makes you feel like you are flying above the city and yes it is low tech but all the little details are great. Wish it lasted a bit longer. I will never miss this ride:)

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

I don't understand why this ride is so popular. We waited about 15 minutes with FPs around 7:30pm on 5/24/10. The pirate ships are on the small side, and while the ride is charming, I think it is a little over-rated. We did spot the Ariel look alike!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Disney World Classic
Cons: Old Tech

This is a good ride for those with kids, or the first time adult. Kids may enjoy a second ride, but otherwise, adults have no need to see it again for a while once you consider the other attractions in the park.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Kid-Friendly and Classic.
Cons: Boring, Unoriginal, and Long Wait.

I'd have to say the only good things are that the ride is good for kids and kids only, and also it is a classic Disney movie. The ride should be kept here, but it has major flaws. The line is way too long for such a boring, unoriginal ride. It basically shows the movie with animatronics and scenery.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Flying, beautiful view of London, colorful, delightful
Cons: very, very short

My 7 year old is still wondering how they made the ships fly. We would only say it was Pixie Dust and I even pointed out the glitter on the unloading track to "prove" it. Wonderful, must do experience. Get a fast pass because the ride is incredibly short. I can't imagine waiting in line for an hour to take a 3 minute ride.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): wonderful, classic
Cons: dusty, poorly lit

Please, this ride needs to be repainted and occasionally dusted. The wait is very long and deserves more. having said that we can't not go.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Pure nostalgic magic
Cons: Long wait line

Okay, Peter Pan was my favorite, since I was little. Sure, it COULD be updated, add some animation... but that might just kill the magic of this Disney classic.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Classic fun
Cons: Long waits

Like most of Fantasyland, another classic. Nothing fancy here but it is fun for everyone. Can take forever sometimes loading only 2 at a time.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A truly magical flight
Cons: Long and slow loading queue

Get to this ride early as the queues grow quickly. Another one of the classic rides that holds its own still. The concepts are so simple but flying over "London" is still magical, like only Disney can make it feel. Lots of details to take in.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Classic Disney. Seems like your really flying.
Cons: Long long lines, Short Ride

One of the best dark rides ever. If you have never done this attraction it is worth the wait. If you have experienced this then I would fastpass it. Either way try to fastpass but if you have to wait for your first time then do it. The story is spot on. Good effects throughout the attraction. The ride is just short and ends way to soon.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

This is one the rides I remember from the first time I went to WDW 16-17 years ago. I was only 4 at the time and I remember this ride. It is still one of my favorites, love to go on it every time I am there.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): the song, the flying Pirate ships
Cons: wait can be long

I love this ride and having the song going through our head. The wait can be long for this slow loading ride, so get a fastpass and you'll be fine.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Another classic Disney ride
Cons:

Anyone who likes Peter Pan will LOVE this ride. All the characters and classic scenes from the movie are there, as seen from a flying pirate ship. What could be more fun?

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

This ride is okay, but I don't see why it's so popular. I'll admit I'm not a big fan of Peter Pan, so that might have something to do with it. In my opinion this ride is not worth the long waits that always seem to be there.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): The original imagineering, flying ships
Cons: old, antiquated, long lines,overrated

Like Snow White's Scary Adventure I would recommend to ride this only once and early. Unlike Snow White's Scary Adventure the Peter Pan ride stays true to the story's themes and emotions. This is the most overrated ride in the Magic Kingdom, it is simply not worth the wait - unless you are or with a young boy. The feeling of flying is cool and the ride's scenes are nice, but there is no "Ooh factor". I want to note that I have ridden this ride alot, mostly very early or very late. The fun my girls and I get out of it is reciting the lines from the movie to each scene - my girls love when I imitate Mr. Snee toward the end of the ride. This is a good ride for it's theme, but that is all.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): flying ship suspended so you look down on everything
Cons: LONG LONG LONG LONG LINES

I am such a sucker for this ride. I just love it. I love looking down upon the little town, and the fantasy involved with the attraction.
The lines are just too long and the fast passes go early

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great fly over ride
Cons: very slow load

The only reason I didn't rate this a 10 was because the loading is so very slow and the cue is dull. If you are lucky enough to hop on without a long wait this is a great ride. The fly over of London is terrific... you feel like a little kid in a cartoon! =D

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Classic Disney, simple but neat effects
Cons: long line and boring queue

This ride is bound to bring the kid out in everyone. And not just because you are getting impatient in line either! The simple effects really do a good job of making it a magical expericence, if you'll just believe in a little faith, love, and pixie dust! A must do for us Smile
