i rode this ride 6 times in one day and the wait times were only 5 to 15 minutes!!! THIS RIDE IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. anyone who rides it is sure to enjoy the story and the drops

One of my favorite rides. It was a walk on during the first parade at MNSSHP. I am pleased that they have installed lap bars as it makes me feel more secure.
I had my poncho on (didn't want to get my costume wet) and we didn't get that wet anyway. Disappointed that they weren't selling ride photos during the party.

I love how Disney made this a ride with the animatronics and that it tells a story and gives you some thrills along the way. I just can't get enough of it. I just don't always get very wet.

We were there in early March 2011. I have been going to Walt Disney World for pver 30 years and really do not ever remember riding this ride. I don't know why because it is a GREAT ride and really don't get wet at all. We rode several times.

Rode this twice on 5/18, once around 9:45am, and once with a FP around 7pm. Walked on both times. This ride is a lot of fun, and there's so much detail, but the songs get a little annoying after awhile. Still on my list of must dos!

All in all, you really don't get too wet sometimes. But there's so much more to this ride than that as you enjoy scenes from Song of the South! One of my Top Ten at Magic Kingdom.

I choose not to find a single fault with this ride, and will ride it no matter how reluctant I am to get wet. I love the straight storyline, the classic characters, and Disney's homage to a film that, despite being widely criticized today, is a piece of pure magic. I love the length of the ride, you feel as though you are really getting your money's worth. The buildup of anticipation as you're climbing the final dark hill is palpable; the pause at the crest, right before you plunge into the briar patch, is a sheer delight!

Can't miss this one! Lines can be long but move rather quickly. It's definitely worth a long wait tho! It's a cute story about rabbits and you float along for quite sometime before you go down the big drop. There are lots of little drops along the way that trick ya into thinking you're going down the big one. If you don't want to be wet all day then I suggest you do this at the end of the day. I've riden this ride countless times and sometimes i get soaked and other times I get nothing. But you never know!

This ride is great for thrill seekers. The ride has a great theme with many animatronics and scenery to capitivate the experience. The songs might get stuck in your head through out your stay at Disney, but if you do not mind that then this ride is great. You will get wet on this ride, so bring a poncho if necesary. I also recommend fast pass because the ride waits can get to 70-80 minutes. You can recieve wonderful photos of your group after the ride which is great for the people who crave memories. All-around great attraction.

I love this ride. We ride it everytime we go to Disney over and over. You just can't get enough of this ride. Everytime you ride it you notice something you haven't ever noticed before. I love riding this during the summer! That huge splash of water feels amazing! If you plan to ride this, PREPARE TO GET SOAKED! If you don't want to get wet then i suggest you wear a poncho! Have fun!

I love Splash Mountain. The animatronics here are so cute and even if you've never seen "Song of the South" on which the attraction is based, you can still follow the story line.
My favorite time to ride this is during the fireworks. The views from the outside areas are spectacular.
One trick I've learned over the years is to focus on the castle when you come to the drop. The castle is such a nice view and for anyone with a fear of the drop, it takes away some of the scare factor.
Be sure to use fast pass here. The lines for this get insanely long in the middle of the day.

This is one of my favorite rides in Disney. I just went on three times yesterday (used fastpass) and there was no wait in the fastpass line (there was a 70 minute wait for stand-by line). I sat in the front row, back row, and second row. The best is front (I love getting wet on rides). The ride has like 4 or 5 drops, and my favorite drop isn't the big one, but the roller-coaster like drop in the dark. The ride is nice and long unlike Kali River Rapids, which is like 2 minutes long. Can't wait to ride again!

This is an example of Disney at its best. The telling of the story to the animatronics to the ride are simply amazing. Not for small ones because of the drop but other than tiny kids pretty much great fun for all. Tip: if you don't want to get that wet, when your facing the mountain when a log comes down the drop look to see if a water cannon shoots water up and to the left over the path of the logs. If you don't see this you will probably only get a little sprinkle on the ride, but if this cannon is on you will more than likely get SOAKED!!
