Description: The "Swiss Family Treehouse" is based on the 1960 live action Disney feature film "Swiss Family Robinson." Make no mistake, this is a treehouse and it doesn't come with an elevator. That means navigating the 116 steps.
The tree is known as Disneyodendron eximus, which means "out of the ordinary Disney tree". It's manmade with concrete roots. The 1400 limbs are constructed of steel coated in cement. The 300,000 plastic leaves were attached by hand. The tree is 90 feet high and 60 feet wide.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

Having never seen Swiss Family Robinson, I admit that the theme was a little lost on me. I did enjoy looking at the ingenious inventions and ways that this tree became a home, and it provides some nice views of Magic Kingdom. But it is definitely a lot of steps for an old, tired attraction.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Attention to detail
Cons: Younger people may not get it

For anyone who saw and enjoyed the film, this is worth checking out. They did very well with the layout and details of the tree house, making it a neat walk-through. The downside is that if you have not seen the film, this really isn't worth the look near as much.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): it's a Disney Classic
Cons: boring

This is really a well done attraction, and makes me think of the movie that I loved as a child...but that was a VERY LONG TIME AGO...

I can't recommend this to anyone other than families with small children who may be interested in some of the make-shift items.

Persoanlly, for me, once is enough!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): the detail in the attraction, classic walk through attraction
Cons: one long bottleneck

I love to take my time walking through the treehouse when there is little foot traffic, preferably in the morning while everyone one else is rushing to the headliners.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): None
Cons: Not A Disney Theme At All

This ride just does not seem to fit in with Disney at all. I just do not see why they put this in the MK.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Old School Disney
Cons: Old School Disney, Stairs

While many younger children (and even those under 30) do not understand that there was even a movie called Swiss Family Robinson, this attraction serves as a reminder of the original, detailed, ideas of Imagineers when the park was first open. The attraction is a nice walk-through reminder (for those who are able to climb many stairs) of what Disney's attractions used to be with a lot of details but with a rather simplistic way of delivering the story.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Leisurely walk-through
Cons: not a good place to spend too much time if you have younger kids.

This attraction is walk-through and it's a good way to get out of the sun and into the shade. Younger kids may get bored if your tour takes too long, but it is amazingly accurate to the tree house portrayed in the movie. Good to visit if you have the time.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Very cute!
Cons: Requires climbing

A lot of fun things are in this tree house! Go see it while you are there. The walk through can be quick if a lot of people are there that day. You may need to go through several times to see everything.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): my kids love this...
Cons:

I just wish they would rework this ride to incorporae Tarzan's family living in a tree after their shipwreck. That way, we could get some of that Tarzan music back in circulation. I just love that music, and miss it a ton since Tarzan Rocks is gone.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Stunning views, interesting stuff to see
Cons: The stairs, oh, my knees!

Loved the book, so it's fun to see the treehouse. The stairs are NOT for the faint of heart, though, it can be a brutal climb, particularly if you've been on your feet for a few days. The pictures from the top can be amazing, though, great vantage!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Imaginative fun
Cons: May not be for the thrill rider types

I love the movie Swiss Family Robinson. I have fond memories of the movie as a child and love to explore the treejouse. My kids, who have great imaginations, love to explore also.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Views
Cons: Boring

There's not much point, but it's not a ride either. Very young kids will have fun. We walked through on first trip and never went back on next two.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): View from the top. Great to imagine how they lived
Cons: Nothing really exciting going on

Even though this isn't the most exciting attraction in a park, I have to admit I would probably miss it if it was gone. It is a classic that offers a great view as you go through it. If you go when there isn't a line in there(there usually is never a line) Take your time to look at some of the detail in this attraction. You should defiantly do this once, most people that's all they would do. But it is a nice escape from the crowds sometimes

Positive aspects of the product (pros): the view from the top
Cons: getting to the top, especially if rain slicked steps

It always amazes me that we actually put ourselves through the workout to get up the steps to the top of this thing. I enjoy the view & there are some hidden Mickey's up there to find. Hard to get behind slow moving people on this one & stay motivated.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): view, memories
Cons: none

This gets some bad reviews but it will always be one that we will do each trip. The film has always been one of my favorite live-action Disney movies and this attraction reminds me of my first trip as a child many years ago. I hope they never replace it!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): kids can roam
Cons: kind of boring

Our 8 year old thought it was really cool to see how people could live in a tree house. It was nice to be able to let the kids loose a little bit, they can stretch their legs, and not have to wait in a line.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): classic attraction, gorgeous view
Cons: stairs!

Classic and beautiful! The simple way to tell the story of the Swiss Family Robinson remains is a nice, calm, thoughtful attraction. Despite the stairs...

Cons: Way too high in the air for me!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): The view from the top
Cons: Nothing much to it

The only good thing about the tree house is the view from the top.. I have gotten many great pictures up there.
Other than that all you do is walk through it.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Interesting and can spark imagination
Cons: stairs

I enjoy this but the stairs and small spaces are not for me.

It does however allow for good exploring and imagination for younger children!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Not very busy
Cons: tired looking

This tired attraction is really showing it's age. In today's ever more crowded parks however it's a great place to escape from the crowds, except for the fact that everyone else seems to rush through as if it's just a queue line for something better at the end. Take the time to really look at the attraction and appreciate all of the classic Disney Imagineering that went into it. Recommended only for serious Disney geeks (like me)

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Well themed, great photo ops
Cons: everything else.

its very well themed with an impressive water system... for a walk through... at night its a good, high place to take pictures from ... other than that... its a lot of walking up looking at rooms to then come back down...

Positive aspects of the product (pros): very imaginative, nice replica of the movie
Cons: high for people who don't like heights...and now with my new knees, I can't climb all of the stairs real well

This is a very imaginative attraction, and it is fun to climb and see the rooms in the tree, and how they managed to get water to the tree top. I used to be afraid because it is HIGH, so if you don't like heights, it may not be for you. You have to be able to climb stair..so no handicap people can enjoy it, and with my two new knees, I am really really slow at climbing. Be careful with toddlers also...they tend to become very excited and want to run ahead!
