If you are looking for a great dinner near The Magic Kingdom then try O'hana! As soon as you are seated you are greated by your server for drink orders then the food starts coming! You are started off with shrimp, salad, dumplings, noodles, etc! Then people start coming around with large skewers. Each one is different. You will have your choice of sirloin, turkey, sausage, etc. It's great! As you are eating there are interactive games for kids. Our kids have had fun hula hooping, playing limbo and coconut races with brooms. O'hana is always on our ADR list!

O'Hana's for dinner is a unique experience that doesn't quite live up to its hype. The dining room is lovely, and reminiscent of Walt's Polynesian theme. For dinner, you are welcomed as "cousins" and seated with starter pineapple bread - and then they start bringing the food! Unlimited servings of appetizers - Lo Mein, steamed vegetables, chicken wings, salad, and spring rolls. Once you have enjoyed the appetizers, the main courses follow: grilled steak, turkey, pork and large prawns. Also served is fried rice. The food is plentiful, and served piping hot. Following the main dishes, the server brings out pineapple bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
Unfortunately, the taste just isn't as good as it could be. Invariably, the meats come out dry and tough. The prawns manage to be both lacking in flavor and too spicy to be enjoyed. The turkey is indistinguishable from the pork, and both are tough and dry. The steamed vegetables are often overdone.
There are clear winners, though. The salad is plentiful and fresh, with a honey ginger dressing that is very nice. The chicken wings are delicious and almost worth the price of the meal! The Lo Mein is tasty and fresh, and the fried rice is satisfactory, too. One of the best parts of the meal would be dessert, as the bread pudding is excellent (although I do miss the fresh pineapple and caramel they used to serve!).
The floor show is highly dependant on the performer, but always involves a coconut race and hula hoops. Unless your children are of age, this may be less appealing to you.
Overall it is a pleasant experience, but probably not worth the high price. At one time our family would visit twice each trip - now we visit only every 2 or 3 times.

I have mixed feelings about O'Hana. The first time we went, the food was great, the wait was short and the service was right on... however, it was soooo loud!
The second time we went, the food was served cold, the service was okay (our CM was having a bad day), and the wait was short.
Again, the second time we went it was just as loud, if not louder, than the first time we went.

This is a must-do for our family of 6. Our kids (and us) love the food here and have never had a bad experience. While it's changed some over the last few years, and it seems to have declined, it's still a family favorite, especially for our older teen age boys.

We always go to 'Ohana when we go to WDW!!!
The atmosphere is fun & festive, the coconut races and dancing is fun for kids, the family atmosphere is comfortable and not pretentious.
As for the service, we've always had great luck at 'Ohana. Our servers have always been attentive, courteous, and professional.
We're not huge meat-eaters, but the apps and sides really make up for that. We absolutely love the salad with the honey-lime dressing and the chicken wings -- we've actually asked for seconds on these. The potstickers weren't so tasty, but the noodles and the veggies were. Last time I had pieces of turkey and steak -- they were both good, but the turkey was outstanding! And their dessert -- the bread pudding with vanilla ice-cream and bananas Foster sauce is the best I've ever had at WDW!!! Seriously!!! We've had seconds of that, too.
While the meal is served family-style at the table, the servings are very generous and it's easy to ask for more of something. As for the meat on the skewers, we had a hard time not getting too much from the servers -- they were very generous!
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for family fun and good, plentiful food!

As a meat lover, I thought this was great. However I didn't find the food any better than what I could do on my own barbeque, with exception of the shrimp.
However, you do get a great view of the MK castle at night!

If you do not like MEAT and a lot of it, this is not the place for you. The meat has a great smokey flavor to it and the sides are wonderful.

I love Ohana! The meats are served on long skewers that were used to cook the morsels over open fire pits. Don't fill up on the appetizers (yes the pineapple-coconut bread is amazing, but seriously, you paid for the meat). I'm not a huge shrimp person normally, but I love their shrimp. They are slightly spicy, but filled with goodness. I go at least once every trip, and I have never had a bad experience. If you're lucky enough to get a seat by the window, you'll have a great view to watch the MK fireworks. Dessert is banana bread-pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. If you're not a fan of bread pudding, you can ask for just the ice cream and caramel sauce. I send everyone I know to Ohana, and I have only received good feedback.

I guess if you have not been here before you might not know what your missing. We ate here in 2003 then again in 2007. Talk about downhill. The food was 10 times better before and they dumbed down the meal and limited the food so much that I won't be back.

I've eaten here many times, and the food has always been great! I really miss the cheesy potatoes, but I can't have everything I want! It is especially great to time your adr with the Wishes fireworks show. The music is piped in, and the view of the castle is great! I really lucked on on my last visit, and actually caught a glimpse of some wedding fireworks as well! If possible, request a table in the main dining room upon check in. I am not one for bread pudding, but the bread pudding at Ohana is great!

This is a must do for our family. Over the years there have been some changes and sometimes they were not so good...but our last 2 visits were great!
This is a great family dinner! Everyone can relax and have fun. There is something for everyone...even the picky eaters! My husband and sons love the meats. I love the pot stickers and salad. We all love the bread pudding! Don't forget to get a nice cool pina colada to relax!!
The service is good - very attentive!

If you love meat, you will love this meal. The last time we ate there, the shrimp came out on the skewers...so good. There are lots os side dishes served family style. The salad is delicious. Turkey, beef and pork on skewers over an open pit fire. All you care to eat. The best is the desert...warm bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and banana foster sauce...it will put you into diabetic coma, which I seem to always be in when I leave here! Very difficult to get reservations, so call as soon as you can!

This is the greatest restaurant on property. First of all, the atmosphere just screams vacation. Waiting for a table in the lounge area listening to the guitarist and sipping a Lapu Lapu is heaven. Have a few cocktails here as the staff love to chat and tell great stories while your relaxing.
Food - Yum. The platter style delivery is fun and delicious. You can really stuff yourself here so be careful!

O'hana is excellent. The selection at dinner is fabulous and plentiful. We love the family style service and had an attentive server who checked in with us frequently. Try all the sauces that are available, you may be suprised which is your favorite. Althought all the disney buffet's are expensive this one is a good value b/c of the quality of the food and availability of good meats. You may not be happy if you are a vegetarian, this place is meat heavan. Don't forget to save room for the desert, its not to be missed.

The Aussies loved this place!! We started with a lapu lapu...the pineapple drink, very good! Then came the pineapple bread mmmm this was great! Then they bought out salad, noodles, dumplings, chicken wings and all of the meats. Everything was sooooo yummy and we were very full and had a hard time eating everything. Dessert was that delicious bread pudding with icecream.....it came out to the tune of the wishes fireworks happening out of the window! A great time was had here by the Aussies, we gave it 9 Aussie stars and will be back in the future!

I would recommend this restaurant only because of the atmosphere and the fun that the kids can have. I don't know that I would ever go back to this restaurant as a couple. There are many other restaurants that serve far better food and will have an atmosphere that is appealing to adults only.
We enjoyed the food and the experience. Our kids had lots of fun. It's always a plus when our children can be entertained while we are eating.

This is the only restaurant that we eat at every trip. We absolutely adore this restaurant. Well worth the wait. Twice that we have been there the meat was overcooked and dry, but we have eaten there over 10 times and keep going back. The shrimp are absolutely amazing.
We have been there with 2 people eating and with 4 people eating, and gotten the exact same amount of food for two as we did when there were 4 of us.

I'm one of the old timers who remembers what it was like at O'hana before the changes. We loved the pupu platters. My real issue is that the last two times we have dined there the service had gone downhill big time, it took forever to get refills, the food was cold when it arrived and often overcooked and dry. The shrimp would be so much better if they weren't so messy. I do them on the grill at home all the time and they are never messy to eat. Our last visit in January was for a special celebration and even though that was (and is) the BIG THING at the resort, and they knew in advance it was a special celebration, no recognition was given. This disappointed us, especially in light of the BIG THING they were making about celebrations.
I miss the Pepatte' Bay a lot..it was one of the most romantic restaurant in Disney World and I would love to see it brought back.

I love Ohana! The price is great. You get tons and tons of food. The food has been really good every time I have been there. The service has also been excellent. The servers are really busy, but still find time to chat and make jokes with you. The view of teh magic kingdom is also very beautiful, especially if you get in in time to view the fireworks. My only complaint would be that it can get a little hectic in there between the coconut lady singing and all the kids doing the hula contests. That is only a small draw back. It is definitely worth trying at least once

One of our favorite meals ever at Disney! The food was very very tasty and plentiful! My youngest (6) enjoyed the activities (conga line and hula). Our service could have been better there were multiple times when we waited for a while to get drink refills and such. Overall very good for the price!

We tried this as our character meal for breakfast - and it was sooo good! It was a table of 4 adults and we laughed a lot! Everything was cooked fresh for the table (no runny eggs like in some breakfast buffets)and if we needed more of something, we just asked. The juice was amazing and the Kona coffee was fresh brewed. The charcters were fun - our faves are Lilo and Stitch, so it rocked for us.

We loved the food here. So much so we are eating here twice on our trip in July. Only issue we had is DH is allergic to coconut. So he could not share the bread or dessert. He just ate more wings...lol
