Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location Cons: Food was so-so
The location of this restaurant was great since it was close to the pool and our room. I was traveling with my 6 year old and trying to get her to sit for meals was a challenge with all the things there are to do in WDW. The service was a bit sketchy...some courses came out in a timely manner, some took forever. Overall it was a fine experience but definitely not fine dining.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Relaxing atmoshphere Cons: Uncomfortable chairs
I used to love going to this restaurant for breakfast. They had a cinnamon French toast to die for. Unfortunately since the recent decision to stop serving breakfast, I don't know if I'll ever go back. The atmosphere is nice, but I could probably find the same type of dinner menu at a location that is closer to the parks (ie. Grand Floridian Cafe). The food is decent and I think you should try this restaurant if you're staying at a Port Orlean's resort.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): At our resort, wait time not as long as estimated Cons: everything else
Read positive reviews prior to our December trip and thought this would be a nice stop after a day at the parks, since it was located at our resort - how was I wrong.
Our stop started with a 90 minute estimated wait time, but quickly found out, that turned out to be about 8 minutes - might sound great, but one or our party went back to the room and we had trouble making contact with them.
From here, it went down hill. Once we all were seated - there was nothing special from this point.
The food was just OK, our server may have been put off by our departed dining partner, but he definately wasn't in to serving us during our stay.
I'm really sorry we used a credit from our dinning plan for this meal.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Breakfast Cons: Breakfast...no longer served!!!
This was our favorite breakfast. The omelets and sweet potatoe pancakes were DELICIOUS!!!!! We stayed at POR just to have breakfast here. The service was always wonderful and food delicious and hot!!
Unfortunately....the breakfast was discontinued in February!

We used to love stopping in Boatwrights to grab breakfast...especially their stuffed french toast. Tragically they no longer serve breakfast so this has dropped the returuant on our list. However the rest of the menu is still good and we love the laid back atmosphere.

Noisy!! Little to choose from, lousy food! If you are desperate only! I would have enjoyed a pizza from the food court more. The only thing I ended up eating was the nice warm corn bread and butter they serve you before your gross dinner arrives!We had the dinning plan package,,if we had to pay for that lousy meal I would have been wanting my money back!!

12/27/09 was our very first experience at Boatwrights. We were so impressed. Don't go by someone else's experience, find out for yourself. This was our last night at WDW (staying at the POR from 12/21 to 12/28/09). #1 was the service...Chris our waiter could not have been more accomodating or entertaining. During our trip, we dined at Narcoossees, Calif. Grill, Le Cellier, Tutto Italia,Chef de France, which we have had the pleasure of dinning there in the past and always loved the food & the service, not this trip. Boatwrights far surpassed all of them in the exceptional food & wonderful service. the prime rib, was probably the best I have ever had. My DH & DS & DBIL (darling brother-in-law) all agreed that it was the best meal of our entire stay. My DS & I had the prime rib, corn & crab chowder, spinach salad & pecan pie and we gave it an AAA+. DBIL had the pork chop, & bananas foster angel food cake, DH had the medallions of beef & the ice ream sundae. All received rave reviews. Do not let enyone deter you from trying this wonderful restaurant, give it a try and ask for CHRIS, to be your server. you won't be sorry.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Really Good Food! Cons: healthy dining options limited
After reading some of the reviews I was a little hesitant, but we had a table service credit to use so we decided to try Boatwrights. We were pleasantly surprized. We were able to get an ADR without a wait. Surroundings at the resort were beautiful while we waited to be seated. Service was quick. The food was delicious, I loved the Prime Rib and the cornbread. Boatwrights deserves a good rating
