My wife and I had a romantic dinner for two here while our girls were at the Neverland Club at the Poly. We loved our dinner, and you could not beat the view of the MK. I had the filet mignon which I was told was the house specialty. It was very good. My wife had the swordfish, and also liked it. We ate on the early side, and practically had the restaurant to ourselves. You could see the MK fireworks from here if you wanted, but we did not plan on being up that late. This was one of our favorite dinners of our vacation.

Its hard to argue with the prior review. This is a wonderful place to dine. That's right DINE, not just eat. The overall ambiance is relaxed elegance.
The menu selections are varied and un-pretentious. The quality of the food and service live up to heightened expectations.
You can watch Wishes or the Electric Water Pageant from the deck around the restaurant. Be aware that if you snag a window table here that your view may be obstructed by people going out onto the deck to watch.

Narcoossee's is our favorite dining location on Disney property. On our last trip I had the full lobster and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had the filet and he was equally as happy with his entree. The wait staff was attentive but not overbearing. We really enjoy a relaxing meal here topped off by watching Wishes from our table. They pipe the music in and its really nice. On our last visit we saw a couple get engaged here during Wishes. How romantic!

My husband and I love this restaurant. On our recent trip we escaped from the other 14 people in our party for some quiet time and a nice meal.
Narcoossee's far exceeded our expectations.
We had drinks at the beautiful bar before dinner. The bar is a sunken bar so you sit on normal chairs at the bar. The bar is not huge but it was very comfortable. The drinks were perfectly prepared.
We were seated in a table with a great view of the Magic Kingdom. Our waiter was wonderful and had great suggestions for each course of the meal. For dinner I had the crab-crusted flounder and my husband had a special of the evening. Both were perfectly prepared and the presentation was beautiful.
For desert we shared the Warm Chocolate Almond Gateau with whipped cream and a pot of french press coffee. All I can say is wow.
I've been to many restaurants at Disney World. Most are over priced for what you get and I would probably not go to them if they were any place else. I would go out of my way to go to Narcoossee's and would not feel like we over- paid for our meal. The quality and service were superb.
I would go back again any time.

If you are looking for a nice quiet dinner this is not the place. My best friend and I went for our birthday. Now we did enjoy our meal and the view of the wishes after was wonderful.... But maybe it was just that particular night but it was incredibly noisy. Every sound carried in the restaurant. This would not stop me from going again but not if I'm looking for an adult meal.

We had the best meal we have ever had on the dis property here. Food was magnificent. service and setting great. Our server delayed our food for us so we could go out onto the balcony to view the MK fireworks. He even delivered our drinks out to us during the fireworks (his name was Tom) Despite us delaying our food when we can back in our food was served promptly and was still cooked to perfection. A truely unforgetable experience

Our favorite, never had a bad meal or service here, even waiting for a ADR table is a treat with the view off the surrounding deck.
Seafood here is always great, the kitchen is creative with out being abstract.
"Wishes" tableside viewing with dessert and a glass of wine is the only way to live!

Hopefully I was here on a bad night or just had a bad server. We had a terrible experience here. Our meal was nothing short of a disaster. The kids were eating desert before the adults had their entrees. The food was decent at best and the meal was so bad we will have a hard time ever returning.

After celebrating my 40th birthday and 17th anniversary here I have nothing but great things to say. The staff gave me such a magical birthday that we returned for our anniversary dinner also. The lobster was cooked to perfection, as was my husbands surf and turf. My son enjoyed his filet also along with his huge Nemo cupcake. For dessert we had the cheesecake which is out of this world. We had a pristine view of wishes and the Water Parade. This is definately a must for us every trip.

We dined here for the first time in May 2009. What an awesome experience. My DH was seated so he had the MK view and I had a view of the open kitchen. For this foodie, I got the better deal since it was too early to view Wishes! We enjoyed every aspect of our food. The presentation, preparation, freshness, timing, and flavor. Everything was perfect. We had a nice server. She was busy, but also took time to engage in coversation. It was also great to reconnect with Chef Robert formerly of Jiko and the Contemporary. He was newly assigned to Narcoossees's in May.
I was concerned about taking DD 9 to Narcoossee's so we checked her in to the Mickey Mouse Club at the GF. We enjoyed a nice quiet dinner and she enjoyd her time away too. In the future, I would not hesitate to take her to eat with us. There were other nicely behaved children present.
This will be a must do stop on sebsequesnt trips.

We ate here twice in 2007 with the kids and it was fantasic. The mussel appetizer is excellent, had it both times. Also had the lobster and the surf & turf where the subtituted scallops. Timed it by mistake and watched Wishes. This is our kids favorite restaurant.
My wife and I ate here twice in January on our anniversary. Again the food was fantasic. We had the filet one night and the surf & turf another. We just love this restaurant.

We ate here in 2007 and 2008. Our first dinner there was with our DD and our server was very good with children. He offered to have the kitchen make her a special dinner when she couldn't decide what to eat.
Our next dinner there was a date night for our anniversary. The server brought us a complimentary champagne toast and we had a very nice adult dinner even though there were some noisy kids in the dining room.
The seafood apps and entrees that we have tried were all excellent. The buttermilk fried oysters were great. My DD was able to get surf and turf with scallops instead of lobster which made him very happy, this is one of the few places that he has requested to return to. The almond crusted cheesecake is my absolute favorite dessert at WDW.

We had dinner here for my husband's birthday last month and it was our first time eating at any of the restaurants at the Grand Floridian. Loved the location: it's on the water and tucked into the back of the GF property. There was a relaxed atmosphere and children were seen dining, but no one was running around or being loud. The menu is small but the items we ordered were very tasty. I had the seafood bisque and crab-crusted halibut; both were very good! My husband chose the crispy duck roll and the grilled salmon and again, both were very good! I also had pre-ordered a special cake a week prior through the GF, chocolate with peanut butter mousse filling and chocolate butter cream frosting, and it was done very well. I briefly told them that my husband is into running marathons and could they decorate the cake with that sort of theme; they did a great job! The cake was delicious and other than the fact that there was a thunderstorm for most of dinner, the view was great! Service was excellent and we would gladly return for dinner!

Narcoossee's is our all time favorite restaurant at WDW and elsewhere. The service is wonderful, ambiance excellent (they even pipe Wishes in!), and food incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Walt Disney World resort. Be sure to try their filet as it is just wonderful and their lobster is amazing. My favorite dessert is the almond crusted cheesecake and it out of this world. You can't go wrong with Narcoossee's!

Our family (husband, 19 yr old daughter, 16 yr old son and I) ate here for the first time in Dec 2008. This was an excellent experience for all us. We were on the Dining Plan, which was free through a special promotion.
First, the view---we had a table that was one row away from the bank of windows so we were able to see the castle as it was going through the lighting ceremony for MVMCP. Just beautiful.
Our server was very pleasant and attentive. She did an excellent job of keeping my son supplied with the scrumptious crusty bread and butter that is served as a starter. He loved the butter because it has some orange sea salt from Hawaii. And when I say loved, I mean she ended up bringing us 3 loaves of bread and butter!! She just laughed and really enjoyed his enthusiasm.
My husband ordered the Steamed Wild Maine Lobster served with potato gratin and steamed broccolini. We all agreed that this was the best dish....and they were all very good. The au gratin was a favorite among all of us.
My son ordered the Grilled Wild King Salmon served with King Edward Island mussels, clams and chorizo served over orzo. Now, my son loves his salmon and I figured that would be all he ate off of this plate but I was wrong. He ate every single bite. He seems to be much more adventurous at WDW. At home, he's pretty much a cheeseburger, pizza, chicken nuggets boy.
My daughter and I split the Surf and Turf, which had a rock lobster tail. The kitchen split the plate up for us which was nice because most places just bring an extra plate. Our meal was delicious and just enough for the two of us. We never would have been able to eat a whole meal on our own. The rock lobster is a bit tougher than the Maine so that is why we liked our husband's better.
For dessert...the gelato sampler was the definite winner. That was what I ordered. My daughter ordered the warm apple tart, which she didn't care for because it was a bit dry and the apples were crunchy (she likes mushy). My husband ordered the almond crusted cheesecake, which was very good just not as good as the gelato.
Even though my daughter and I split a plate, the server included a drink for me and after dinner coffee at no extra charge.
This is definitely our absolutely favorite place to eat. However, that being said, if we had to pay out-of-pocket, we would probably not be able to eat here or eat as much here for sure. It is very pricey but offers extremely good quality and service.

The evening began with us arriving around 5:45 for our 6:00 reservation on August 2nd. As we were waiting to be seated, one of the chefs gave us a crash course in all things lobster, using a live lobster specimen named “Shelly” as a visual aid. We learned how to tell the difference between a male and female lobster, and, perhaps more interestingly, we found out that lobsters do not have pain receptors as humans do. It was an informative experience indeed. Of course, we felt as though we bonded with Shelly, and as a result, both of us opted not to order the Maine Lobster that evening.
Once we were seated, our server, Nelson, came over immediately to provide us with menus and collect our drink orders. The first thing we noticed were the personalized menus wishing us a “Happy Anniversary.” That alone was enough to make us smile. Then when Nelson returned with our drinks, he brought with him some souvenir Mickey Mouse straws. Being the Disney dorks that we are, we thought this was just about the coolest thing we had seen all day.
For her meal, my wife ordered the filet mignon. While the steak was good, she was blown away by how good the accompanying gratin-style potatoes tasted. The meal that I ordered was a slightly altered version of the Surf and Turf. Instead of the lobster tails (thinking of poor Shelly), I asked Nelson if I could substitute grilled scallops, which he did without hesitation. The scallops were absolutely delicious, as were the steak and potatoes. Ordinarily, I am not a fan of putting any sort of sauce on a steak, but the sauce that accompanied the filet mignon was simply outstanding.
For dessert, I went with the gelato sampler. All four selections were excellent, especially the cappuccino, and they brought back fond memories of my trip to Italy many years ago. My wife’s dessert, however, was the real piece de resistance. She ordered the strawberry shortcake, and the chef had written out “Happy Anniversary!” in strawberry sauce. I have no shame in admitting that we took a picture of this before she ate it. Incidentally, she thought that it was delicious, once she could bring herself to eat it.
Throughout the meal, Nelson’s service was impeccable. We never once had to wait for a refill, and he answered all of our questions without hesitation.
In the end, we both agreed that this meal was the best we have ever had at Walt Disney World. Not only was the food good, but we had never been made to feel so special ever before.

We ate at Narcoosee's on my husband's birthday.
In some ways this was a more romantic dinner than we had at Cali Grill. It was quieter, more intimate, close to the water.
We arrived 30 minutes early for our 7 pm res. and were seated immediately.
We had apps- DH had the mussells, I had the tomato and mozzarella- both were very good.
DH had the surf & turf and loved it, I had the crab crusted halibut and it was heavenly- wish I could have gotten the whole lobster though- think DH is right- we need to go back soon!
DH had teh almond crusted cheesecake (WOW) I had the valrhona choc. cake w/ blood orange which was much less than wow. oh well- our experience has been that no where will you find your favorite app, entree & dessert at the same place...

I'm not a steak eater, but I wish I had gotten a Fillet Mignon. My husband raved about it, so I had him give me a taste. It was by far the best steak I had ever tasted (my husband agreed). He compares it to "chewing pumpkin pie," it was THAT tender! I got the Free-Range Chicken Breast and it was delicious, but it just didn't compare to the fillet.
The service was wonderful. Our waiter was vigilant, but wasn't at the table enough that we wished he would go away.
The view...well it's the Magic Kingdom. Enough said.

The best meal I have ever had at Disney! The resturant is very cozy on the inside and the location on the water was wonderful. We were seated right at the window with a perfect view of the castle. We had the crab cake appetizer. I must say that when I saw it I was disappointed it. It did not look like any crab cake I had ever seen it looked more like what we in Louisiana call a crab ball. They were about the size and shape of a meatball that had a breading and looked fried. Now after tasting they were absolutely wonderfull! My wife had the surf & turf and just loved the whole thing. I had the grilled scallops which were absolutely amazing. Our waiter, Harvey, was great always around just when needed. Now we ordered dessert my wife had the chocolate cake with an orange sauce and I had the almond crusted cheesecake. Now I am not a big dessert eater but I thought my cheesecake was just OK. It was presented beautifully but the taste was just OK. My wife thought the same about her cake. But overall our meal was wonderfull and romantic.

We've dined here for our past two visits, both times on the dining plan. Both times the meal was FANTASTIC. The twin filet and lobster tail was simply superb. I had the bisque for an app, and the almond encrusted cheesecake for dessert, and both were excellent as well. My family (wife, teenage son, preteen daughter) were also pleased. We plan to return this summer as well. A PS on this: even with the dining plan, we opted for apps and alcohol, which, along with the tip, added about $100 to the bill. But it was well worth it. My family had to roll me through the Grand Floridian lobby on exit because I was so stuffed. Highly recommend.

We went through great effort to coordinate a reservation at this restaurant only to be dissapointed.
The service was extremely slow- and not "fine dining" slow... slow as in drawn out 1 1/2 hours from appetizer to entree.
Once the food arrived, the filet mignon was overcooked and the lobster tail room temperature, not hot.
We paid for our salads and drinks then left to enjoy the park after 2+ hours wasted. We ended up eating "park food" so that the kids could enjoy the park before closing vs staying and waiting for them to correct our food.
On leaving the restaurant we decided to mention our dissatisfaction to the manager and, franjly, didn't get any satisfaction. We did get what seemed like a generic apology but nothing more.

We stayed on property for a week and this was one of the best meals of the whole week everyone really liked everything they put in front of us the server was very pleasant and helpful the chowder really is some of the best Ive ever eaten I got the special stone bass in a lobster broth that had huge pieces of lobster in it and the cheesecake it tastes like it has cherries in it even though it looks plain ... 2nd best piece of cheesecake all week only cause im a mint choc chip nut did that one win first place the lobster someone else ordered was all cut and cracked so they just had to pull the meat out they loved it

I surprised my wife with a "date" night after a week at the "World" with the kids.
We arrived 1/2 hour early (7:25 pm on Friday 12/17/10). We were seated within 15 minutes.
Appetizer was crab cakes.
Wife ordered crab crusted mahi mahi, and I had the surf and turf. Both of us ordered the suggested wine on the menu.
We were both very happy with the quality of the food.
My only thing is even though the food was excellent, I find it hard to justify the prices.
Call me a cheapskate, but $150 plus tip seems like a lot of money for a meal.
I know we were at Disney, and I knew before hand what it was going to cost.
No complaints, i'm just not used to spending that much on a meal.

Dinner was awesome!. The staff was extremely friendly from the time we arrived and throughout dinner. We were there with another couple for our anniversary and it happened to be theirs too. We had our celebration buttons and the staff scrounged up some buttons for our friends too. (bonus) We had martini's for the first time ever. The Key Lime martini tasted like the real dessert so my wife had 2. The appletini was delicious too. We were on the DDP (2 credits)(highly recommended) and our friends were not. With the DDP and the 3 drinks we ordered, we spent about $60 with the tip but our total bill would have been about $200 without the DDP. We initially tried this place only because this is one of the few places we have not tried but our expectations were well exceeded. We both had the surf-n-turf and both the fillet and the lobster were some of the best we have ever had. Dessert was also delicious. They presented us with a special anniversary menu (same food but a specially marked take home version) and the dessert dish was also special anniversary dinner ware. Overall this place was one of the best meals we have had in our 25+ trips to Disney World. The atmosphere is very special out on the water with a window seat looking out at the Magic Kingdom. Loved it and look forward to going back there on our next trip.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): cozy atmoshphere, fireworks Cons: Mussels too salty
Resv was @ 8:50 on 11/9. this was the first night of the Christmas parade @ Diz so we saw the fireworks and light show from the balcony. My DH and I ordered the mussels for a starter. I found them too salty for my taste but hubby disagreed. We both got the Heirloom Apple salad. This was so yummy! candied pistachios, toasted pumpkin seeds, Fiore Sardo Goat milk cheese and a pomegranate vinaigrette over greens.. The best was yet to come. I ordered the Crispy whole snapper. This dish makes a jaw dropping entrance! The snapper looks to be swimming upstrem. It had a spicy crispy crunchy outside and tender white flaky fish on the inside! My husband was jealous. He got the Togarshi spiced Ahi and it was good but didnt compare to the snapper! We will return!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Pretty view onto the lagoon Cons: almost everything else
We had an absolutely horrible experience at narcoossee's this past april. I scheduled this thinking it would have great fish choices, and that it would be a romantic atmosphere. What we got instead was awful service, extremely long wait times between courses, and mediocre at best food. I was so disappointed I was almost in tears. Our waitress was awful, she never cleared anything off the table, I actually took a photo of how messy and bad our table looked right before the dessert course. I just couldn't belive that she didn't notice or care. She was incredibly slow, we waited 20 minutes just to get our dessert menu's and then another 20 for it to arrive. My husband ordered the butter poached lobster tail and grilled filet mignon, his steak was extremely overcooked and he said it reminded him of a Perkins steak (chain restaurant), definately not what we expected for a meal that was costing us 2 TS credits per person. There is honestly not much positive I could say about the meal, we will NOT be back.
