Positive aspects of the product (pros): Beautiful decor, great food, great service Cons:
We really like the potato-wrapped snapper here, but there are other good choices as well. We've always enjoyed the food here.
It's fun to sit in there and try to find all the fish in the decor, too. And the location at the BW is very nice -- you can stroll over to Epcot after dinner and watch Illuminations.

Always enjoy dining here, but menu can be an issue for the pure meat eaters.
Salads and apps are always fun, the risatto dishes usually rock. Sevice is friendly but the big room can get loud, try to ask for the left hangd room where the canopy is.

This is our most favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World. The service has been outstanding all of the times we have been here.
My husband's favorite is the Potato Wrapped Snapper, I love the New York Strip and my 9 year old son LOVES the Crispy Fried Snapper. The whole fish!!!
When we were here a couple of weeks ago, we were lucky enough to sit at the Chefs Counter again and Chef Tim Keating came out several times to talk to us and we were treated to some samples. It was just outstanding. We can not wait to go back in July!!

I have to start out by saying that of all the table service restaurants my friend Sarah and I ate at during our trip to WDW in August '07, Flying Fish was our least favorite. This isn't to say we had a bad experience here, but the food and service here wasn't nearly as good as what we experienced elsewhere, yet we paid as much if not more than we did at other restaurants on property. The food was decent, but not particularly memorable and not as good as it should have been for what they were charging. We also found the service to be a little overbearing (he was a bit pushy in his attempts to get us to order appetizers, wine, dessert, after-dinner drinks, etc.), yet when we needed our waiter he was no where to be found. We left the restaurant a little dissatisfied.
The decor of this restaurant is terribly charming though. I spent all of dinner looking around at the rollercoaster theming. It was fun and whimsical, yet classy at the same time.
Overall, I wouldn't say this is a particularly bad place to eat, but there are so many other restaurants on property that are more worthy of your time and money. I don't necessarily regret eating here, but I'm in no hurry to go back.

I like Flying Fish, but I always find myself having to apologize for the fact that I do think this is a GREAT place. It is good to really good, and we had a lot of fun last 4th of July when we ate here. However, I just like other seafood places a little better.

We really liked the food here, but it's not suitable for kids (to my mind) and it was very loud. The server was excellent and the food seemed cooked well and was very fresh. They have a bar for single diners and walk-ups.

Ate dinner here on June 9, the food was incredible. Dh had the heirloom tomato salad, so fresh! I had the corn chowder with rock shrimp, WOWZA this was killer!
Bread was hot and fresh. I had the scallops with green pea risotto, fantastic! Dh had the NY Strip, cooked to perfection and full of flavor.
The dessert was the chocolate trio, amazing!
Our server was a sweetheart, he was very attentive.
The table next to us had 4 boys, around 6-9 years old that were acting terribly and no one said a word, they were knocking into waiters, rolling on the floor, banging on the windows, standing right next to our table and staring at us. The waiter apologized and said their waiter had spoken to them about getting their kids in line for the sake of the other diners but they did nothing. Finally I could not stand it any longer and made a very loud comment their way, they left within minutes after that.
That did not cloud our view of FF though, we will be back for sure!

I ate here twice for dinner on a solo trip in May 2009. I sat at the bar and had a great time chatting with the castmembers in addition to enjoying two wonderful dinners.
The fish dishes were superb. The first night, for my entry, I enjoyed "Citrus Zest and Schezuan Peppercorn-crusted Yellowfin Tuna Loin - bok choy, Asian mushrooms, carrots and radishes, light curried carrot-coconut infusion,$35.00" It was a delightful and unique dish. The second night I had the Oak-grilled Hand-harvested Maine Scallops -- English Pea, Pecorino, Basil and Mascarpone-laced Risotto di Carnarolli, Prosciutto di Parma Cracklins $36.00. WOW!!! I wish I could eat that any time I wanted it! Beautiful, fresh tasting dish.
I paired each meal with the suggested wine. I don't normally eat sweets so I enjoyed the cheese plate for "dessert" the first night. The second night I had probably walked 12 miles that day, so I splurged and gave myself a treat of the sorbet trio. That night's flavors were lemon, basil and tomato. Perfect end to a perfect day!
Thank goodness, they take Tables In Wonderland, otherwise I would have eaten at the "blue zoo", which is also excellent, and never discovered the changes since we last ate there in February 2008. It's now my favorite place to dine in the EPCOT park/resort area. I'll talk about the Magic Kingcom and Monorail loop elsewhere!

DH had the crabcake app (the best crabcake in WDW!) and i had the yellowfin tuna tartare (on a dare from the server) both were good.
DH and I both had the scallops with risotto. The scallops were great the risotto was too salty.
DH had the Key Lime Pie for dessert (the best KLP in WDW) and I had the "study in chocolate" (if I could get a degree in chocolate I would!) and my favorite of the 3 mini- desserts was the white chocolate creme brulee' with blueberries. But all three were great.

Visited September 2009- My husband and I had a free night and I made a last minute reservation at the Flying Fish Café. From the 3 Signature restaurants that we ate at while we stayed at Disney this one was over rated for a Signature restaurant. The décor is nice and bright. The open floor plan from the kitchen to the restaurant is nice. Unfortunately we were sat all the way in the back up against the side and back wall we felt like two kids put in time out. Next to us was a table full of screaming kids out way to late for dinner. Our waiter was ok, he seemed rushed and didn’t put a lot into it. Our dinners were just OK. For a $150.00 meal it was nothing to write home about like the other meals we had. It would be fine as a regular restaurant but not Signature worthy. I would try some place else next visit

Ok first to start out there needs to be a grade higher than 10 this place was beyond excellent.
We ate here last week on the Deluxe DDP, with an ADR.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the views of the kitchen are pretty neat. As for it being to loud I found it very comfortable, yes a little loud for and intimate dining but I still found it a very romantic restaurant.
I had the YellowfinTuna Tartare and Crispy Tempura Tuna-Vegetable Sushi Roll as an appitizer which was THE BEST PIECE OF SUSHI I HAVE EVER HAD, all of the complex flavors came togeather nicely to no kill the tuna taste it was AMAZING. I also had the muscles which were awesome too. The wife tried a crab cake on a whim and seeing that she has never liked them before said her's was amazing.
For dinner I had the Citrus-Pepper Crusted Yellowfin Tuna which was EXCELLENT. The tuna was cooked to perfection rare and the spice although a little heavy was still excellent. The wife had the Potato-wrapped Red Snapper which was amazing. I was amazed at the way the complex tastes of things like cheese and veal gravy came together to make an amazing taste with the snapper.
For dessert we both had the sorbets which were very good and a nice close to a complex meal like this was. I would beyond recommend this place to anyone. Although expensive well worth it. I have eaten at some of the best seafood places around the Caribbean and South Florida and this one ranks up there with my top choices. Way better than the Coral Reef in EPCOT. (and I love the Coral Reef)

Mussels appetizer and crab cakes were incredible! We enjoyed the signature red snapper and the yellowfin tuna...best tuna I've had in a long time. Boardwalk entertainers (magic, comedy, juggling) were right outside the restaurant all evening. Great dining experience. A lot of fun.

We were very hesitant to go to Flying Fish on our previous vacations as we though it looked "cheesy" from the outside. However, on our last trip we were staying at the Boardwalk and decided to have our anniversary meal here. Well boy were we wrong. The food was fresh and delicious. Our server was helpful, engaging, and friendly. And they gave us a free desert for our anniversary.
If you want seafood on property, this is the place too go!
