We tried Trail's end for breakfast before the Backroad Segway Tour. Everything was hot and fresh and our server was friendly and kept our drinks filled. Nice old-fashioned rustic theming. Highly recommend it!

This is the best value and hidden food gem at Disney World. The food was great and price is wonderful. It has a good rustic atmosphere and it is a nice way see the campground,

We love going here. The food is good. The prices are some of the best in WDW. Buffet. Cozy, rustic atmosphere. Breakfast - eggs, waffles, sausage, bacon, cereal, grits, biscuits, gravy. Lunch - BBQ, fried chicken, veggies.

First off, this is probably the best deal on property. The food is good and since the restaurant stays busy the buffet turnover is fast (thus fresh food). I really liked the salmon, and the mashed potatoes. My only problem with this buffet is that it is pretty limited in selection. This is a great buffet for visitors who aren't adventurous with their meals. It basically has ribs, chicken, salmon, carved beef (all very good, but not anything out of the ordinary).

We've eaten here several time and it has been consisitantly good. The CM wait staff is attentive and friendly.
We've eaten breakfast and dinner and found the breakfast buffet to have a good assortment of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, biscuits, Mickey waffels, grits, gravy, etc... Dinner was just a enjoyable.
Wear stretchy pants!

We made a special trip to go to this restaurant for lunch. Fort Wilderness was very quiet the day we visited. The hostesses on the pdoium were very good fussing over the kids. The restaurant was very quiet - our server was inattentive with a couldn't care attitude - plates were not removed and drinks not refilled. We had been looking forward to lunch here as we had heard good reviews but bad service spoilt out visit. The food was very good - especially the pulled pork. However, we will not be going back because of the effort taken to get to the restaurant and the poor service.

Ate there twice on this past trip (September 2009). The selections consisted of a salad bar, veggie selections (corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, potatoes a'grautin, & carrots), meat selections (ribs, salmon, fried chicken, baked chicken, & roast beef), soups (chili & veggies), dessert & breads (cornbread, cookies, brownies, rice crispy treats, homemade apple cobbler, ice cream & toppings). The best picks were the ribs (couldn't stop eating them), the cornbread, the mashed potatoes, and the apple cobbler. Will be sure to go again.

My husband and I ate lunch at Trails End on December 10. We had never eaten there before, but we were looking forward to trying it out. I have to say that we were both very pleased with our meal there and look forward to going back!
I like the way they do the buffet. Rather than use large serving dishes, they use small pewter serving dishes kept on heated surfaces that they replenish often. That way you’re always getting hot, fresh food.
We started with a little bit of salad from the salad bar, which had both pre-made type salads like Caesar and stuff to make your own salad. For the entrees, they had fried chicken which looked good, but my husband and I both got too full eating the wonderful pulled pork BBQ to try the chicken. Their cornbread was also great, and we enjoyed our sides of mac & cheese and corn. They also had some soups and stews, but we didn’t try those.
For dessert, my husband got a rice krispie treat, and I had a brownie. They also had a make-your-own sundae station too.
Our server Donnell was excellent—super prompt and very friendly.
I think that this meal has to be one of the very best values on Disney property! They even take the Tables in Wonderland discount, making it an even better deal for those who have that.
Since it’s a pleasant ride over to Trails End from the Magic Kingdom by boat, we definitely want to go back. It’s not fancy food, but it’s good food with good service and a quiet atmosphere. Two thumbs up!

We visited WDW in the first week of March 2001 and was on the Deluxe Dining Plan so the price mentioned was if we were not on the dining plan. We stopped for lunch after doing the trail rides and didn't have reservation. We were seated relatively quickly. The cast members were very friendly and the food arrived fast and hot. My wife had the mixed green salad, bacon cheeseburger and sticky bun sundae, and I had the mixed green salad, bacon cheeseburger, and S'more. We greatly enjoyed the meal with no complaints. This restaurants is probably one of Disney's hiden treasures. Not too many people know it is here unless you stay at the campgrounds but the food is great.

They had eggs benedict but instead of having Canadian ham they had BBQ pork. I was really good and made for a different taste. Because the restaurant is at the campground, I think not too many people know about it unless you are staying here but we thought the food was great and will be back again.

My son and I ate here for dinner after a day at Magic Kingdom. This is a great place to relax and have dinner. The server was attentive and courteous. What the buffet lacked in selection, it made up for in quality. The fried chicken is absolutely out of this world! We had a great meal at Trails End. When we were finished, my son had some fun at the arcade next door while I waited in the smoking area, right on the porch. I would bring a jacket if you have dinner here because it gets cool at night on the ferry boat. I would also recommend having a reservation. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. This was a good thing because we were pretty hungry and tired from a day at the park.
