The breakfast buffet at Cape May Cafe is my family's favorite. It is also our favorite place for Christmas dinner. The food is very good. The character interaction at breakfast is fun. I have found it is usually easy to get last minute reservations or even walk-up for a breakfast seating.

Utterly dreadful is about the nicest thing I can say about the food here. Eggs were awful - tasted like powder. Bacon is rubbery and flavorless. Nothing unique about the choices and the standards they offer don't meet my standards. The characters make it fun, but there are better character meals out there.

We enjoyed the food at Cape May, but were not very impressed with the restaurant itself.
The buffet set up was awkward. The food was arranged on a large square shaped buffet. There is no defined beginning and entry point and guests would literally run into one another trying to figure out which direction to go and as they were attempting to get food off the buffet. Whoever thought of this set up must never have been to a buffet before.
The setting is pretty casual, which did make it nice for families. The tables were covered with paper, and crayons were provided to the kids to draw right on the table. My kids did think that was pretty neat.

If you like clams, go for it! If you don't like them go for another restaurant. Cape May is loud, and doesn't "flow" as you walk with your food. The buffet is limited (especially the desserts... this was VERY lacking). The best part of this buffet was the location, you can eat then walk it off at EPCOT.

Great selection of non-seafood items. Very well prepared and seasoned. The chicken was moist and the corn bread rocked my world. The flan from the dessert bar was the most amazing dessert I had in 10 days of eating at the world. Our waitress was on top of things and was very friendly. Loved it, will be returning.

I had avoided this restaurant for many years because my husband has a seafood allergy. On my most recent trip, I went with my son and brother, so we made it a priority to visit this location.
I really enjoyed the seafood buffet. The night we were there, the had a salmon that was delicious. They were also featuring crab legs that night. I could have stayed all night long eating the crab legs, shrimp, and salmon.
The desserts were really good as well. While I didn't get a chance to try the chicken or ribs, my brother did and said they were good. I'll have to take his word for it.

This is a fun place to see characters dressed differntly, as they are dressed in beach clothes. The food was good and fresh.
I'm not a huge fan of buffets, but thoroughly enjoyed this meal.

I enjoyed eating in the relaxed atmosphere here. I also appreciated it's convenient location between Epcot and HS. I do no eat seafood, and there was plenty of non-seafood to choose from. The mac and cheese was the best I've had at a Disney buffet, the salad selections were plentiful, and the chicken was great. My favorite part of the meal was the Oreo Bon Bons. There was also a pineapple upside down cheesecake that was fabulous. I ate around 5:00, so it was not crowded. Even so, the buffet was being replenished quickly.

The service was great but the food was not hot. The clams still had sand in them and they were cold.The other food was great and there was plenty to eat. I am not sure if we would go again.

Everyone in our party of 9 enjoyed the meal here. My DD(5) and I enjoyed the all you could eat crab legs. They also have a great selection of desserts. We will be eating here again in July.

Ate here on the DDP, the food was really good, Minnie and Goofy came to our table twice to hang out and take pictures. Since it is a buffet it is a good place to stuff yourself silly before you hit the park for the day and have to pay the high park food prices. The food was really good, the only bad part was the wait it had to have taken about 15 mins just waiting for the hostess and about anther 10 before we were sat. There were way too many people in line waiting and it was a hot mess. But once one of the other hostesses came out with a laptop and got things moving it was better.

The best breakfast I ever had at Disney. It was an unexpected surprise for the whole family--none of us had ever done a character breakfast before, and we had such an awesome time!
The food was delicious (the Mickey waffles were AMAZING!), and there were so many selections! We had eaten breakfast earlier that week at the Boma, but all of us agreed that the Cape May Cafe blew it right out of the water.
We got pictures with Minnie, Goofy, and Donald, who came around to all of the tables. We didn't feel rushed, and the characters were great! It never once felt cramped, noisy, or overcrowded. The best thing is that you don't have to wait in line for the characters--just grab some breakfast, sit back, and wait for them to pop buy!
We were lucky to be staying at the Beach Club resort, so Cape May was right at home, but if we ever return to Disney and stay at a different resort, I won't hesitate to book a reservation for breakfast here again.

We were the first to be seated in the restaurant when it opened for dinner (did you know you get a little prize for that?). As to the food on the buffet, no complaints. It was great. The drawback was that it wasn't very well arranged for the crowd it brought in. There was much waiting in line at the buffet no matter when I went up.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fresh/hot food. Cons: Had to wait a bit for chicken nuggets on the buffet.
We enjoyed the all you can eat crab legs. The clam chowder was very good. The kids seemed to find food that they liked and they were able to walk away full. The only real downside was the fact that they were out of chicken nuggets on the buffet, and it seemed to take a little longer than it should have for them to make another batch.

This was on our re-do list from our previous trip. Really enjoy the walk to the resort from the friendship boat & the easy walk to Epcot. Food is good & plentiful. Character interaction is fine but brief. Typical breakfast buffet choices but there is so much of it you won't leave hungry. Would do this again.

We had ADRs for 5:30pm on 10/7, and were seated promptly. We were told our server would be Sarah, but she was busy so we had another one instead.
We sampled many things. Mom really enjoyed the crab legs. I liked the peel and eat shrimp. We both liked the cantaloupe salad. The corn on the cob was sweet and delicious. Mashed potatoes were fluffy and flavorful, but I found the corn bread to be dry.
We sampled several desserts: a brownie, a key lime tart, a (raspberry) cheesecake, and the famed oreo bon bon. Our favorite was the key lime tart. The cheesecake had no flavor at all. The bon bon was good but very rich; Mom liked the mousse on top but not the cookie part (though she doesn't like oreos in general).
Manager Kiersten circulated throughout the restaurant and spoke to us for about 10 minutes. She was extremely friendly and discussed her career at Disney with us, telling us briefly about some of her past experiences.

This was only one of two restaurants that I dined at in the 12 days I was at WDW that was a complete disappointment. I was really looking forward to dining here, as it was my first time. Was also my last time.
Was seated at 5:40pm (opened @ 5:30pm) and was really surprised to find most of the food areas empty or close to it. Took too long to refill the food when it was out. The chicken was dried out and the meat grisly. Boiled potatoes were way undercooked and the corn on the cob had no taste. All of the desserts tasted like they came from the day old section of a grocery store. I tried their famous oreo bon bons. They were dry and crumbled as soon as you tried to eat it.
Sorry I wasted a table service credit here for dinner. Won't go back anytime soon.

We had a great time eating crab legs, Mussels, and clams to our hearts desire. A wonderful meal and didn't have too much room left for the specialty desserts. This is a buffet so other than filling your drinks and taking your plates away your waitress doesn't do a whole lot. When they hand you your bill they have a suggested tip of 18-20% on the bill. With Disney's exaggerated food prices on top of that! We tipped according to service and according to how we would tip in a normal restaurant. As soon as our waitress saw the amount of our tip she went 'cold' and lost her pleasing personality. Oh well....

We got lost via Disney transportation and showed up 45 min late for our ADR. Although they said it wasn't a problem to get us in, that put us at the end of breakfast. Expecting lukewarm food that was not being refilled, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, hot, and fresh. The fresh fruit was the best we came upon on this trip and the french toast was amazing. Topped off with good service and fun character interaction my whole family can't wait to come back here.

Diners: Myself (22) and Boyfriend (24) on the Regular Dining Plan (paid ~$20/per person per day; upgrade from Free QS plan with our reservation package).
We had the Cape May Clam Bake Buffet dinner on 9/15, with 6:45 reservations. We waited a bit in the veryyyy crowded lobby area of the Beach Club, but were seated not too long after our 6:45 time slot.
Things we liked: Select dishes were AMAZING (short ribs with gnocchi, smashed potatoes, herbed salmon, mixed veggies, green beans, jicama slaw, strawberry shortcake!)... plus, buffet! All you can eat of your favorite stuff - what's not to love?!
Things we weren't crazy about: service was okay. Waitress couldn't really answer bf's question about a beer on the menu, and didn't offer to go seek answer. A couple of time, other servers came and cleared our plates for us. We probably saw "our" server 3x.
There wasn't as MUCH variety as I thought there'd be. LOTS of clams, mussels, etc. The snow crab legs were very good, but as in the nature of such a food, lots of work on the diner's part to eat it!
Some of the dishes were just okay.. corn on the cob (not sure how that could be messed up but it just was blah), some dishes were quite salty, not a ton of "fish" (salmon which was excellent, and fried cod nuggets.. plus the stuff in shells). The carving station selections were not great. Overall I wanted more choices! The desserts were also just alright.. lots of generic cookies/cupcakes that looked like something you can get ANYWHERE in Disney, let alone your local grocery store. The other table had some better selections but no famous oreo bonbons to try
and we weren't impressed overall (aside from the shortcake which was AWESOME).
Another downside is the craziness that is the buffet line. No real sense of direction here. More like a free-for-all - grab a plate and scoot in wherever you can fit! Why stand in a line an wait your turn?! .. That part was a little annoying.
It was so-so on the food, but the good part is, we just got back up and scooped ourselves some more of the things we did like!
Depending on your taste in seafood, this could be a super Dining Plan value for you.

We were a married Canadian couple travelling the first week of December. Eight nights, deluxe dining plan.
Disclaimer: neither of us had the crab legs. (!)
Judging by the ravenous consumption of them all around us by patrons (some of them locals, I think), the crab legs are *why* you come. We certainly couldn't find any other reason. Even my wife, who enjoys seafood much more than I do, found Cape May underwhelming.
CMC has a small serving isle, but it seemed to get the job done. However, this is the first and so far only time I have ever seen a buffet with a carving station and no gravies or sauces. I wainted the span of our meal for some to show up; no dice. The salad and cold parts of the buffet were pretty sparse (although they did have a good Ceasar salad).
We were staying at the Beach Club and the first night we arrived my wife had clam chowder from the Marketplace and found it amazing. She says she found the buffet version of the chowder vastly inferior. (?)
What this buffet is interested in is in the name: it's seeking to replicate a seaside clam bake. That means legs, rolls and corn. That you can certainly get.

My son has an egg and nut allergy. I found the chef's here were by far the best for assisting in this area. I did not have to get any food from the buffet for my son, instead they both (2 visits on one vacation) brought him everything fresh from the kitchen. They cut up his sausage for him and the presentation of the mickey waffles were excellent. It truly brought tears to my eyes. Other places we ate were helpful, but here they went above and beyond.
We did not feel rushed while eating, we were able to have a leisurely breakfast.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): alot to choose from Cons: not what i expected for a seafood buffet
Being from the New England area we really love our seafood. Was excited to find out they offered steamers but was not happy with the size. Once they were out of the shell, they were about the size of an eraser. They had many things to offer but will probably not go again.
