Positive aspects of the product (pros): Wonderful high tea - gorgeous location Cons:
We LOVE the tea at the Garden View, and it is a family tradition that we have tea on our last day of our trip. Service is always friendly and warm, and the waitresses recommend without talking down to the customers.
The variety of teas and offerings is impressive and you can find plenty to satisfy. Our favorites are the cheese and sandwich plates, which provide plenty of food for a light lunch for two.
Highly, highly recommended for Mother-daughter special times

My mother and I had tea at the Garden View Tea Room on our last trip. The setting is lovely, and our server was great. There are a large selection of very high quality teas, and my mother was pleased by her selection. The tea comes to the table in a beautiful tea pot with tea cozy -- and, actually, the server brought my soda in a tea pot, too, as I had expressed disappointment about missing out on the teapot since I don't care for hot drinks.
We chose the Buckinham tea, which consisted of tea sandwiches, scones, and pastries. We also ordered a cheese plate. While it was very good, we found that we didn't need to order extra items, as the amount of food brought to the table is quite substantial.
The whole experience was delightful - we will definitely return!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): High tea at the Grand... Lovely... Cons: none really...
We ALWAYS make ADR's for the tea at the GF... My mom and I love to go there... It's a nice service overlooking the gardens at the Grand. There is a nice variety of food and teas available. You can get items ala carte also. MAKE ADR's it fills up... You may also see from time to time a bridal or baby shower there also.

I talked DH into going to high tea, and he was a sport about it, except he wanted a diet coke, and no tea....I enjoyed going here with my daughters. It is a perfect tea with different choices for food. The room is beautiful

We had tea here in January 2009. Lots of food, all delish...the scone and strawberries and cream were my favorite. Even my non-tea drinking husband enjoyed his tea! Music was playing in the balcony and it drifted down into the room giving it a really great atmosphere.
My 1 year old son, on the other hand, did NOT enjoy it. He was overtired (it was a travel day), and because he knew cartoons were playing in the lobby on a TV-that is where he wanted to go! He was crying almost the entire time (thankfully there were only a few other parties, and they were entirely across the room), our server was excellent in dealing with the situation, and my husband and I took turns "enjoying" our tea and playing with our son in the lobby/watching cartoons. They hurried the courses our more than normal to assist us with this ordeal-which was very much appericated-otherwise the whole thing usually takes at least 1.5 hours.
As soon as we left, he was fine.
