This review is not the typical as we didn't have dinner here. We have been three times since opening and we went in to sit at the bar to relax and have some drinks and all three times we ended up getting appetizers. We ended up making a meal off of these. Two of the times we have been in have been in the middle of the afternoon so it wasn't very crowded and this past Saturday we were in there later in the evening and it was packed. We felt we received the exact same level of service no matter the amount of people that were in the restaurant or at the bar. One of the cool things was that the staff actually remembered us. I had beer and she had wine. The thing about the beer being the coldest was a cool perk but some of the beers should not be served as cold as it was, such as the Newcastle. The food that we did have which wasn't much was very good. We had to the simple chips and salsa which we loved and asked for more. It wasn't your typical salsa, it was made from roasted tomatoes and it was great. We also had the crazy corn, which is a corn on the cob cut into four pieces then topped with a spicy sauce and cheese. We could have eaten a hundred of these. We have also tried the mac and cheese bites, which wasn't a very large order but were very good. Without trying to stare at people we observed other peoples meals around us and we will defiantly go back for dinner. Everything seemed to be great food. Overall we think great atmosphere, great food and a great time. This place will be very popular after time. (on a side note if this review seems bad, it is the first I have ever attempted so please take it easy on me. LOL)

Positive aspects of the product (pros): reasonably priced Cons: too loud
Food is good, especially the appetizers. My only complaint is the noise level. It is all hardwood and there is nothing to absorb the sound. We were sitting 15 feet away from the live guitarist, and I watched 4 different couples be sat down at the same table next to us, then get up 5 seconds later because it was too loud. My recommendation: Come during lunch, when there isn't live music.

I have never written a review, but felt the need to do so after the experience and food we had yesterday. We arrived with no reservation at 5:20 on a Sunday and were seated with no problem (party of 2). However, it took a good 10-15 minutes before anyone came to our table. Once he did, our server was apologetic and very nice. Must have been some sort of miscommunication or server changeover or something. We were able to put that aside and order our food.
For drinks, my husband got the frozen mango margarita. It was okay, but nothing special and not fresh mango or anything, just fake flavoring. I had the white sangria. It was served in a small wine glass and half the drink was cut up fruit pieces. The orange juice flavoring was almost too strong and covered up the other flavors, however it was very good. It was just way too small.
My husband ordered the cheeseburger (with no cheese) and fries, and I had the chicken enchiladas. My husband said that the hamburger was "nothing special" and the fries tasted just like the Ore Ida Fast Food Fries in your grocer's freezer. I tasted them and he was right. The chicken enchiladas were pictured in the menu and looked pretty good, however the menu should have said "pictured actual size" because when they came out, they were an appetizer portion at best. There were three small chicken rolls, about the size of spring rolls, with some clumped cheese on top. They were very dry and didn't have nearly enuogh cheese. I imagine enchiladas with lots of sauce and cheese and they were not like that at all, completely the opposite in fact. They were served with cilantro rice, which had such an odd flavor that I didn't eat that much of it, and the black beans were more sauce than beans. They were okay, but again, not a very large portion.
Two drinks and two very small entrees were $49 plus tip. We were still hungry after we left and went to the Candy Cauldron for a fudge covered caramel apple for dessert. That was by far the highlight of our night.
I agree with the other reviewers about the noise level as well. The live music was just about to start when we left - but it was loud enough even without the music. Once was enough for us. We won't be returning to Paradiso 37.

In Out of the Rain
On a rainy Friday August evening our family of five trekked from the Saratoga bus to Portobello’s for our ADR. To be honest, I was not really looking forward to this given that we have three kids (11,8 and 4) and we made the reservation because we thought that the DVC members received a 30% discount. Turned out that the 30% was only for lunch and that we would only get a 10% discount. No offense to the Portobello fans, but I was not ready to bring a family of five to Portobello’s to pay premium prices for something that kids would not like…if it were only me and my wife then…WoooHoooo…I’m in.
On our way we noticed Paradiso 37 off to the left with employees standing outside trying to drum up some attention for their new restaurant. We strolled over to look at the menu and see if there was a wait. What do you know! No wait…reasonable prices and kid friendly food (Street Cart Dogs, Paradiso 37 Cheeseburger etc…).
We made the decision to skip our Portobello’s reservations and try Paradiso’s out. We were seated immediately on the upper level with a direct view of the lower section. First impressions was that it was a little dark and a somewhat loud. Now for us the noise does not matter because I do not need to worry about my kids annoying the entire restaurant. This was starting to off to be the perfect place for us, very kid friendly in my opinion. The decorations were very creative (even my kids were noticing), using old bar bottles and glasses to create chandeliers and other various trinkets through out.
Entertainment:
Originally I thought that we were listening to a live recording of an acoustic guitarist/singer, because I did not think there was enough room for live entertainment. To my surprise, it was live and he was tucked away beside the bar. I did not get his name but his music was main stream and he was very good.
Drinks:
My wife and I ordered a pitcher of red wine sangria. We were torn between the white and the red wine sangria so the waiter gave us a sample to help us make the decision. I liked the white but the wife won that battle…we got red. The pitcher was perfect for the two of us for a reasonable price. Taste was a little fruity and light on the wine but this actually works for us because my wife does not like a strong alcohol taste.
Appetizers:
Wife and kids ordered the Mexican Quesadillas (average in my opinion) to share but I highly recommend the El Salvadoran Pupusas. Once that was delivered to the table everyone forgot about the Quesadillas and began to mooch on my Pupusas. These were small bread pita pockets stuffed with different Mexican seasoned meats.
Dinner:
I ordered the North American Sausage & Pepper Hoagie which came with a cup of fries. The hoagie was a little small in portion size compared to some restaurants but I didn’t leave hungry. I am not sure why I ordered this with so many other choices?? Overall opinion of this entrée…small portion, heavy on the bread not enough sausage and pepper, fries were excellent. I really should have gotten something more interesting…my fault
My wife ordered the Baja Burritos with grilled chicken. She was able to substitute the rice and beans for a small side salad for no extra charge, which was nice. Dinner was good, and she was able to take some home to enjoy it again another night.
My Son (11) ordered the cheeseburger. He said it was the best he ever had! Big enough to eat again the next night. He also loved the fries.
My middle daughter (8) ordered the chicken quesadillas…again. She finished them off with a little help from the rest of the family.
My youngest daughter (4) ordered the hotdogs with corn dogs. Both of her favorites on the same plate!
Dessert:
With Ghirardelli’s right down the path, we opted not to order dessert.
Surprise…we mentioned that we were DVC members and they graciously knocked 20% off of the bill. They were not part of this plan yet but they said they soon would be and gave it to us anyway.

We just ate there on Sunday around lunchtime 12/6/09. We were promptly seated and our server was soon after. We liked the atmosphere but cannot comment on noise level like previous reviews since it was lunchtime but I assume they would have the same complaint with T-Rex or Rainforest unless it's the fact that there is no action figures.
Food - We started with Guacamole and then, ordered the Pineapple Burger and the Jalapeno burger which came with fries that we liked and we did not leave hungry at all compared to earlier posts.
I have read the other posts here and in my opinion if you are going to purposely try to discredit food and LOOK for "frozen" fries then go to McDonalds so you won't be disappointed. It looks like some people expect WAY TOO much and get let down.
Drinks - we had the Sangria and our waitress kindly gave us a sample of the White Sangria. Both were very good. We are not alcohol experts BUT if it was bad we would have noticed.
Price - the prices were similar to T-Rex or Rainforest so no complaints there.
I would go back and have already recommended for our next trip with family.

We tried 2 appetizers and two drinks, all were great.
For appetizers, we had the fried mac n cheese balls and the quesidillas which we enjoyed immensely. The selection of beer is large and you'll have a difficult time picking one if you love beer. Price was good considering this is Disney.

I have eaten here twice, great value for money and the food was fantastic. Great kids menu which gave a better variety than the standard Disney kids menu. Will become a definite regular on our trips.

This place has killer churros and a warm doughnut like dessert that I thought was the best I have had. Unfortunately, on my second visit there, the churros were a day old and I had to send them back, but the bartender was great in getting a fresh batch and even asked if we were DVC members so we got the 20% discount on the good drinks we ordered.If you are a tequila lover, this is the best spot but even if you're not, it's a comfortable place to hang out and people watch.

My son and I ate here one night. Our server seemed terrific. Although when she didn't realize we were still able to see her, she seemed annoyed at everyone and everything, but put her happy face on before returning to our table. I realize it was all fake, but I still think she did a great job, considering how crazy busy the place was. This place was packed and loud! The food is awesome! I had quesadillas for an appetizer. My son even tried it and loved it, and he can be picky. For dinner I had a selection of 4 items on one plate...can't remember what it was called. There was a skirt steak, spicy sausage balls over mini pitas, rice and beans and pork flautas. The plate looked so pretty I wanted to take a picture but was too embarrassed to do it. The food was absolutly delicious! If anything, it was too much food. We barely touched our mini ice cream cones for dessert. Get here early for your reservation (make sure you have one) so you aren't starving by the time you are seated. I would recommend the food here to anyone!

I ate here on a busy rainy night. We were originally seated outside but it began to rain. We were quickly relocated to an inside table, which I am sure disrupted the flow of dinner service, but the staff was happy to accommodate us. We were seated and greeted promptly. My husband and I were surprised by our servers menu knowledge. He had all the answers we needed to make our decisions. We started with Mac and cheese balls. They were so delicious! I loved the dipping sauce they came with so much I request some to dip my French fries in later. I also had a mangled marrigrita. I have had sangria/ margarita combo drinks at other establishments but this one was by far the best. To many of these and you will be "mangled". As far as entrees my husband had a platter with skirt steak, chorizo, and flautas. I tried his steak, it was so good I bartered half my burger with him for another bite 
I had the pineapple and bacon burger. What a wonderfully combination. It was clearly made with quality products, and every bite included both bacon and pineapple. The French fries were perfectly crispy and salted. My husband drank the p37 lager which he enjoyed, he asked our server if it was available to purchase by the case. Unfortunately it's not, but he did offer us a round of drinks to go, how convient
We were overall happy with our experience and will defiantly be returning.
