We had lunch so we experienced the counter service. While the line was long, it did move at a good pace. The ordering process was easy and we liked how the food was delivered to our table (via the GPS rose - very cool!) The food was very good and the castmembers were all very helpful. The theme of the restaurant is amazing! We just walked around the different dining rooms which was an experience all its own!

My husband had the steak sandwich, I had the veggie quiche, daughter had the turkey sandwich and son had the croque monsieur. For desssert my daughter had the cream puff, the guys picked the choc cupcake and I had the strawberry cupcake. All of the food was very, very good and very tasty. Loved the atmosphere. The line was a little slow but we were there right after Thanksgiving and I think patrons were still getting used to the new ordering system. The line moved quickly even though the CM's said there was a 30 minute wait. Worth the money of you are paying OOP and a must stop if you are on the DDP.

Anyone who has passed by this restaurant knows that it is probably THE highlight of the new Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. The attention to detail paid by imagineers is surely a sight to behold. This attention to detail continues inside the restaurant, beginning with the columns you see when entering, being held up by a pair of gargoyles. Then, the armory room where suits of armor line the queue that leads to the room in which orders are taken.
I dined at BOG for lunch, so the following process can be ignored for dinner guests. Disney's new technologies are highlighted in this room, with an ordering system that allows resort guests to order their lunch on a touch-screen computer terminal, then simply tap their room key to be charged for the meal. Another technology seen here is THE ROSE. The first castmember gave me the rose shaped contraption and asked how many guests in my party. Next, I was given an option to pay cash or card, which is an important question, because this decides whether you will be sent to a computer terminal (Card) or a real person (Cash). We opted for cash, then got stuck behind a family who spoke no English and was ordering for a family of 6. We ordered our meal (described later) and continued into the main hall.
Our next task was to choose a table. There are three unique dining rooms at BOG. The Main Dining Hall or Ballroom is beautiful. The theming is amazing and must be seen to believe. The one drawback is that due to the size of the room, it has a bit of a cafeteria feel to it. There is also Belle's Library, which because of the setup when you leave the ordering room, we didnt even see, because it is around the corner hidden from view. Then there is the dark and mysterious West Wing. We opted for the West Wing. Be aware, the West Wing is dark, and it is a bit hard to see at times until your eyes adjust.
After deciding on a dining room, we began looking for a table. The few open tables were all dirty, but there were bussers busily clearing tables. We sat at one of the dirty tables and waited a few minutes until a busser came over and cleared our table. At the same time, our food arrived. This is where the ROSE comes in to play. Inside the rose is a technology that allows the server to know where the food needs to go. Our food arrived in a covered rolling cart, pushed by a castmember who asked to see our receipt. I accidently showed him my Lefou's Brew receipt (oops) before finding the right receipt in my wallet! With a Bon Apetit, the cast member departed.
We ordered two sandwiches for our lunch. I ordered the Steak Sandwich with Garlic Butter and Arugula with Pom Frittes (French Fries). The sandwich was a nice size meal. The roll was fresh and soft, which is crucial to a good sandwich in my opinion. The fries were nothing special. I could have used a few more condiments, maybe a side of mayo. I didnt see any available, but maybe I could have gotten some if I had asked. My traveling companion ordered the Croque Monseiur Sandwich with Pom Frittes. Basically, a grilled ham and cheese sandwich on multigrain bread. The sandwich was tasty, with almost a bacony flavor. There was mention of bechamel as an ingredient in the sandwich but I really didnt notice it. For drinks we had two sodas. We were asked when ordering what we were drinking, but we went to the drink station, we could have chosen whatever we wanted. Im not really sure why the order-taker even asked.
In summary, this restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. The dining experience is definitely more about the restaurant itself than the food, at least as far as lunch goes. The process of ordering might be a bit much for some to comprehend, but they did a good job of walking everyone through the process. It is somewhat a letdown when you realize that you will have to sit a dirty table. For what it being billed as a high-end experience, I would expect a bit more. The food is definitely a step up for MK dining options, but that not really saying much. I give the food a 7. I give the theming a 10. I give the whole experience an 8.

My family and I experienced this restaurant for dinner during our vacation during Christmas. We were instructed by a cast member to get in line on the left side of the bridge, to which there was a line for those with reservations and those without. The time it took to wait in line, get checked in, and receive our buzzer took all of three minutes. We showed our buzzer to the cast members guarding the bridge who let us through to wait there. We explored the bridge in all its detail and landscaping until our buzzer went off to be seated. When we approached the "castle doors" my family was greeted by our last name and escorted inside.
As soon as I had heard about this restaurant I knew I had to experience it. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie and the idea of dining in the famous ballroom seemed like an absolute fantasy. This restaurant lived up to my expectations and more! I was thrilled that we were seated in the ballroom to dine (versus the other two smaller rooms). We took some time to select our entrees before taking the time to really look around the room at all of the details. We did not order any alcohol or appetizers but we did get bread and butter while we waited for our main courses. We did have to wait a little longer than we would have liked for entrees but it was obvious that they were busy that evening. Each of ordered something different. I ordered the shrimp and scallops dish which was delicious!! The other members in my family ordered the pork chop, the salmon, and the cornish hen dishes. They all agreed that their dishes were delicious as well. This was obvious when our server took away completely cleared plates from everyone!
This was when I had my magical moment. I had heard about "the grey stuff" which isn't on the menu and had also heard on the Podcast that this was something that was only being given out for special occasions. My birthday was in a couple of weeks and we had even decided as a family that this would be my traditional birthday dinner out. When our server asked us if we would be having dessert, we said yes and then I asked him if we could try the grey stuff to which he asked if it was my birthday. I told him that my birthday was in a of couple weeks with a tone in my voice almost asking if that was good enough. He looked at me and said "Your birthday's today, right?" Not understanding what he was trying to do, I responded "No, my..." then I realized what was going on. "Uh, YES, my birthday is today!" "Very well, then," he said. "I'll be right out with the dessert cart." He walked away and I about lost my mind with excitement. I'm not sure our waiter truly understood how much it meant to me.
Our waiter returned shortly with the dessert cart. We picked two cream puffs and two cupcakes to share between us. The waiter then brought me a small dollup of the grey stuff with a lit birthday candle in it. Although I won't give away what the grey stuff tastes like, I can tell you that the dishes were right...it IS delicious! Everyone had a small spoonful of the grey stuff as well as a little bit of each dessert. We tried both the chocolate and the lemon cupcake, both of which were moist and delicious. We also tried the chocolate cream puff and the passionfruit cream puff, which were both ok but not great.
After we had finished everything and had paid our check, we decided to explore "the castle". We went into the rose gallery as well as the west wing to check out the details in each of these rooms. We also quickly went through the study/library where the quick service lunch checkouts are. This was also where the Beast was receiving his guests, but he must have been taking a break when we went through and we were not interested in waiting around for him to return.
Overall this was a wonderful experience. The theming is superb and the food was very good. The only con was that everyone in my party felt the portions were too small, but it is my understanding that it's supposed to reflect a high-end restaurant that gives you smaller portions for a higher price.
Highly recommended, but be sure to make reservations well in advance. Happy Eating!!

I went to the Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch on December 30, 2012. Needless to say the park was busy that day and we had to wait 30 just to order our food! But it was totally worth it. As soon as we got in the door we were immersed in the best Disney has to offer. From the lighting to the architecture every detail was well planned.
I ordered the French onion soup, braised pork and the strawberry cupcake for my meal. You could sit in any of the three rooms. There was more than enough seating available with tables that could accommodate any size party. Our food was brought out to us in what seemed like minutes. I was taking in all there was to see and before I knew it my food had arrived.
I started with the French onion soup and it was ok. I'm used the having a dark broth and this was lighter, almost clear. It needed something, maybe some seasoning or salt would have helped. Next I had the braised pork for my meal. It was tender and flavorful with some yummy carrots on the side. It was a big portion too. I couldn't finish it because I wanted to save room for the strawberry cupcake. The dessert was beautiful to look at and I almost felt bad eating it...almost. It was sweet but not too sweet and the strawberries tasted fresh and delicious. I would go back just for dessert!
When I was done I walked around and took some pictures. Each room was unique and I can't wait to go back and experience each room. The chandelier in the main room and the back wall of windows with falling snow was truly magical. Disney spared no expense on this dining experience!
On my way out I stopped in the bathroom and was surprised at how small it was. It seemed extremely under sized for the number of seats in the restaurant. Besides that, it was a wonderful place for lunch in the Magic Kingdom, especially for a "counter service" restaurant.
I would highly recommend it to anyone for lunch, even if you have to wait to order your food and I am looking forward to going back in June when I have a reservation for dinner.

I had lunch at Be Our Guest. The ordering process during lunch was a little hectic, but there were several cm's around to help out. You received a rose that stored your order and also has a "GPS" to find you. You placed your order and it went into the "rose" and then you took the "rose" to the cashier who took your payment. Then you found your own seat and got your own drinks.
About 10 minutes later, a server came to my table, because my "rose" was on the table, and served the dinner. If you want dessert, you better order it at the beginning.
The food was excellent. The french onion soup was outstanding and the vegetable quiche was nice and light to go with the soup.
Along with outstanding food, the view was so beautiful. It was worth eating lunch there just to see the restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Line wait time- 7 ( Good)
I lined up about half an hour before opening. Cast members had a line organized and the line reached back almost to Gaston's Tavern. Once seating began, the line moved quickly. The only complaint I have it that once the line made it to the bridge, Disney cast member instructed people to disregard the lines and just fill in all available space across the bridge. What made matters worse was that all the people who had merged from an orderly line, into a mass of people, had to then again form a single line for admission into the building. Basically, it just encouraged pushy people to push forward ahead of others.
Service/ style-10
I found the Kiosk and service quick and efficient. I really like that food is delivered to your table and I appreciate the covered serving carts. The rose GPS location device is a great idea and blends so well into the theme of the restaurant.
Atmosphere-10
This restaurant has the level of detail that made Disney famous. I am sure you have seen or already read details, so I will just add my appreciation to Disney for making this restaurant more economical and accessible to everyone by having affordable lunch dinning and not just expensive dinner service!

Sorry, I had to rate it that low based on my experience. I know I have heard that most have had a wonderful meal. Unfortunately, something must have gone terribly wrong with mine. I had the steak sandwich and I think it was the worse thing I have ever eaten in any Disney restaurant in all my years. Yes, it was that bad. The steak was grey with black bitter grill marks. It was very, very dry and the taste was like LIVER. It was served on hard dry bread. ( I would rate this a 1.) Honestly, I wonder if somehow this was left over from the day before? I should have sent it back, but instead I just ate the fries and dessert. (Chocolate cupcake) both of which were very good. I will try the restaurant again at some point, but no way would I ever be brave enough to try the steak sandwich again. (Then again, I hope my next visit will be for dinner dinning.)
Overall my meal was a 3 but everything else was a 10. I do expect your dinning experience will be much better.

My Family ate dinner here during marathon weekend. The place is absolutely gorgous. My wife and I felt the server really rushed us along. The kids menu is definately different, but they should have at least two items more common to the kids. I was expecting the food to live up to the atmosphere of the resteraunt, and it did not. Everyone has to go at least once.

Went for lunch Jan 14th @ 1:30 was about a 20 min wait in line to actually enter the 'castle' then about another 15 mins in line waiting to order our lunch.
2 Adults -- Turkey sandwich/Steak sandwich
1 Child -- Pork w/ apple sauce and fries
We sat in the west wing room. A tad dark but the atmosphere was very interesting -- we watched the portrait change 3 times.
Our food was out to us very fast and was delicious our only negative is that no one told us that we had to get our own silverware, napkins, drinks. The room was a tad dark and we sat in a corner and did not notice the service area. We just kinda assumed (bad idea) that the server also would bring the essentials. Once the server arrived and gave of the details we then had to make the trip to get all the utensils. That did not keep us from enjoying our lunch ---we just felt kinda foolish!

We couldn't get a dinner res after calling and calling and calling- even on the first day it was offered. We decided to try walking up so we could at least see the inside. Our timing was PERFECT! We got into a VERY short line at 2:15 on a weekday. Turns out that the last luncheon service is at 3:00 pm so that they can turn around the table settings for dinner. We walked in, ordered from the lovely menu, grabbed our rose and went to find a seat in the almost deserted restaurant. Our food arrived piping hot in just a couple of minutes. Our server was enthusiastic about the restaurant and encouraged us to go see every room. We were not rushed out even though they were resetting the tables for dinner. my only disappointment was that I couldn't try " the gray stuff" . When I asked why it was not on the lunch menu I was given an answer that softened the blow-"The master of the castle only allows the gray stuff to be served with dinner". Can't wait to go back and have dinner there , but want everyone to know that going at the end of the lunchtime service is a good trick to get in and discover this beautiful new spot.

Thanks to Beth at Dreams Unlimited Travel, we were able to land a primo 5:55 dinner reservation for November 28. We arrived a few minutes early cold and hungry. We checked in and were told to wait on the bridge until our buzzer went off. Our coldness and hunger quickly turned to crankiness as we waited and waited (there was not seating on the bridge if I remember correctly).
Once we were finally called (45 minutes late), our spirits were lifted. The place is gorgeous. We were happy we weren't seated in the main dining room because it was huge and would probably have been very loud. We were seated in a corner of the West Wing. It was very dark and relaxing. The only problem is that we were feeling rushed because our late seating put us in jeopardy of missing the Electrical Parade which was something the family decided we HAD to do this year.
Anyway, the service was great—fast and friendly. The wife and I both had the pork chop and the au gratin pasta which we absolutely loved. The pork chop was huge and was prepared perfectly and it came with some sort of magical dipping sauce that I considered picking up and drinking. The pasta was also excellent as I remember stealing some of my wife's when she went to the bathroom. I don't remember what my 8-year-old daughter had but she ate it. She loved the restaurant, too.
We had our desserts packaged to go (the chocolate cupcake was full of yum and the girls liked their cream puffs), got a few pictures with Beasty, and ran to Liberty Square in time to catch the parade. We didn't have a good view so I had to hold up my giant 8-year-old the whole time...but we made it. And I would wait in the cold and hold her again for another date with that pork.

This review about lunch: Aside from needing to get in line for a lunch at 10:30 am and then waiting in line for over an hour before we could get food, everything about BOG is spectacular. The menu options are a very welcome change of pace from theme park food. The pork loin lunch entree is one of the best meals I've had in WDW, including many table service restaurants. Looking forward to dinner there soon.

Had dinner here 12/12. The food was great. I had the shrimp & scallops in puffed pastry. My husband had the steak. Food was delicious. Service was quick. Server encouraged us to explore the different rooms of the resturant. The beast "greets" his guests in the ballroom every 45 minutes. This was a nice touch. After dinner you can take a picture with the beast on your way out of the resturant.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing!
We had the chance to dine there for both lunch and dinner and enjoyed both experiences. The lunch service was very prompt, almost too prompt. We barely had time to get our beverages and sit down before the food arrived. Our meals were absolutely delicious.
For dinner we all enjoyed our food as well. My son wanted to order the ratatouille, which I wasn't sure he would like. He ended up loving it and cleaned every bit off the plate. The only disappointing thing we ran into was the desserts. While they were good, I would have expected something more sophisticated than cupcakes and cream puffs in this restaurant.
Getting to meet the Beast and have pictures taken with him after dinner was a wonderful surprise. Even my 13 and 17 year olds enjoyed doing this.

My family went for counter service lunch twice on our recent trip. The best part about the counter service menu was that it was not the standard Disney fare. My wife and I split the ham sandwich (not proper name) and then we each had a bowl of the french onion soup while my daughter had the braised pork. The food was delicious. On my second visit I tried the pork although I do not normally like pork. It was probably the best counter service meal I ever had at the Magic Kingdom. My daughter and I spent several minutes exploring each room before choosing where to finally eat. Once we laid down our magical rose the servers brought our food within in minutes. After dinner we had a channce to spend enough time in each room to experience the mini shows which take place. We loved the main room with the snow effect in the background however my daughter's favorite was the room with the rose petal even though it was a much darker room. I would highly recommend the lunch visit for anybody unable to secure a dinner reservation. I plan to try dinner on our next trip this summer.

Went for lunch prior to official open.
Fantastic addition to Fantasyland with a level of detail that will impress anyone. Outside and in you are immersed in the Beauty and the Beast story. The electronic menus and ordering system along with your RFID rose are tech forward for the restaurant industry and work well here.
I had the steak sandwich which was tasty and tender but dry.
My 9yr old son had the carved turkey sandwich which was also dry and lacked turkey. My son did not enjoy it and would have been happier with something off the adult menu.
The whole environment is something to behold and worth a visit.
I hope the food quality eventually matches the rest of the experience.

We had an ADR for 5:15pm, and did not get inside to our table until 5:45. We sat there for another 15 minutes before our server came by to take our drink order. We ordered food and drinks at the same time, and it was at least another 15 minutes before the food arrived. Our server was great, I just think the delay was from the kitchen. We had the salmon entree, as well as the scallop and shrimp entree. Both tasted very good. We ate in the Ballroom, which is just beautiful. We looked into the West Wing room, which was very elaborate as well. The Beast did a quick walk through while we ate, but did not stop for any pictures or meetings. After our meal, we were able to meet the Beast in a small room off to the side. There was a PhotoPass photographer there to capture the moment. Overall, I am glad we went, but I don't think we need to go back again. We did hear from a Cast Member that their computers were down during our visit, so that may explain the problems we encountered.

My group (2+2 ordering separately) visited for lunch on Saturday, January 27th. We waited approximately 30 minutes to get to the ordering area. We were directed to a cast member standing next to menus on screens to order (not a kiosk, although other people in the room ordered via kiosks). Ordering was quick and easy; we'd had plenty of time to review the menus while waiting in line to figure out what we wanted. Rose in hand, we proceeded into the grand dining room to look for a table (find one on your own) and were able to secure a clean four top in short order. It was missing a chair, and a cast member kindly grabbed us one from a nearby four-top where a woman was eating alone. By the time I food arrived she has been asked to relocate to a two top. If you ordered a fountain drink, you had to retrieve a cup and serve yourself at the fountains off to the side of the room. Condiments were also in this location. What struck our group was that anyone could walk up, grab a cup, and serve themself a beverage as no one was checking receipts (either at the fountains or when food was delivered to the table). I can't imagine that won't change sometime. If you ordered bottled beverages (we ordered water), they were delivered with your food. Silverware and napkins were in another location: portable carts on either side of the room. Our group got up at least three times to retrieve all the items we needed for our meal. Food was delivered quickly and pleasantly, though one server made much more of a point of presenting the food with a thematic flourish than the other. Two of us had the steak sandwich with fries (excellent, both would order it again), and two had the croque monsieur- one with fries and one with green beans. They indicated that the sandwich was a bit too salty, and it balanced a bit better with the veggies than with the salted fries. We all agreed the food there was a serious step up from other counter service locations in the Magic Kingdom, and we all plan to eat here again. Unfortunately, with the door to the restaurant propped open for the lunch line, it was so bright in the dining room it was difficult to see the snow effect through the windows. We did enjoy visiting the other rooms, and I will try to eat in the West Wing the next time I go.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): decor, service Cons: wait to get in
This dinner was wonderful and is a must do for us. The decor in the restaurant is beautiful and it doesn't get any better. The food was very good. My steak was wonderful. My husband got the pork and he said it was just ok. Our appetizers and desserts were great! I would tell a friend this is a must do!

Love this! Husband and I ate lunch here on 1/3/2013. We opted to wait in line an hour before the restaurant opening since we had some extra time. Took the time to take some pictures of the outside atmosphere and to run to the restroom inside. As soon as the restaurant opened, the line moved quickly and we love it! Ordering was simple, the unlimited drinks were great and having the food brought to our table in the ballroom made it feels sooooo much nicer than other counter service restaurants - almost made it feel like a table service. Love the steak sandwich and chocolate cupcakes!

We had reservations for several months and we were disappointed when we were placed in The "Rose Room" Our waitress was very nice but the service was slow. Our dinner was good but the portions were small. We enjoyed taking pictures with the Beast in the library.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): great atmosphere! Cons: Food should be better
This is one of the most sought after ADR at WDW! But I was able to get a cancelation, however it was for almost 9PM. We arrived early, and they were able to get us in, but the first time we asked, they said sometime about the "early entry" time was over...no clue what that meant, but we just showed up again about 45 minutes before our scheduled time and there was no problem. The servers are wonderful, and keep the Beast character the center of all conversations. He actually make and entrance into the Dining Room and invites everyone to visit him in the study before they leave.
I ordered the Strip steak, prepared Rare. When it arrived, it was so tough and grissley that I couldn't eat it....they brought me another entire entre and this one was better, but still, tougher than it should have been. The French fries were seasoned with exocit spices, and there was a mayo/truffle dipping sauce. Very yummy. We had cheesecake for dessert and it was also very good.
We had to ask about the "grey stuff," and the server said it normally was only available for very special occasions, but since this was our last day, she would see if the Beast would make up a small serving for us....which apparently he did, and yes, it was delicious!
We were encouraged to visit the other dining room after our meal, and then go into the study where the Beast was waiting for us for photos. Since there was no one else in the study when we arrived, I had a chance to actually dance with the Beast!!! How fun! Then we did our PhotoPass+ Photo, and were out and ready to claim a space for the fireworks.
All in all, it was a special night for us - but if the steak had been better it would have been perfect!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fantastic atmosphere and decor Cons: So so food
We ate here mid April. We were early for our reservation, but were escorted minutes after our arrival. Going over the bridge, through the gate and Into the castle is magical. The service was wonderful, and I LOVED getting to meet the Beast. You didn't feel rushed at all during photographs. The food was mediocre to be honest. I had the hen, and my husband the pork. It was okay, but nothing spectacular. The dessert was delicious I must say. I had the passion fruit cream puff, and he had the strawberry cupcake. I would go back in a second because the castle and experience is just so fun. This is a must do for any visit, and most certainly for a special night. Better food would make this a perfect 10!
