Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great nap location! Cons: Almost everything
One of the best "lines" from this attraction is Stupid Judy, Stupid Energy! Well, this attraction needs some updating and it's sort of "stupid" too. Ellen DeGeneres looks to be about 20+ years younger in this attraction than she currently does on TV with no hope of her updating it since she's a Universal property now!

If you are looking for a place to take a nap head here. I am all about saving energy but this seems more like a skit from the Ellen show.
Is Bill Nye the Science Guy still a big deal? This attraction needs a stronger educational experience. The films are great, the story line is lame.

I would say just close the whole dang thing down & think of soemthing else. Learning ways to save energy is great....but one of them shouldn't be to not ever update a very out of date attraction. Save your time.

This attraction is good if you want a 45 min nap in air-conditioning but besides that it's not really worth the wait.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Classic Disney animatronics Cons: Takes a big chunk of touring time (45-60 minutes plus cue time)
Although the UoE is maligned for its slow pace and outdated themes, it is still a classic experience for each of our trips down. The biggest challenge is that eats up an hour or more of your day, so plan accordingly if you have Fast Passes or reservations at restaurants nearby. A little sprucing up wouldn't hurt, but anything with Bill Nye can't be bad.

While I do like the pre-show with Ellen, the ride itself is rather long and horribly boring. It is however dark, cool and long, so it's a great place to rest if you need it! Still, the most redeeming factor of a ride ought to be that it's a good place to catch a quick nap.

This has to be one of the most unusual attractions WDI has ever created. Mixing Bill Nye, Ellen Degeneres, Jeopardy, and an overall theme of energy at first doesn't seem to make any sense. But if you have ever been on the attraction, it actually almost fits. Overall, it's a fairly boring, slow, loud, and dated show, but I find myself seeing it every now and then. Since its recent refurbishment, the vehicles seem to move more quickly and smoothly. It's probably not a show you will race to every trip to Epcot, but it may be worth seeing, if you like Ellen, Bill Nye, Audio-Animatronics, or are a geek for wire guided vehicles.

The only good part of this ride is that you can get soem time to relax in a dark place. The ride is outdated and old. I didn;t really notice anything with the refurb. If you are tired you may just fall asleep.

Years ago Disney tried to inject life into what was a long, boring ride by having Ellen, Bill Nye, and Alex Trebek take you on a little adventure. It's not really as bad as some may say. Sure, it's long (you can nap!), the story's ok, and there's a little part with dinosaur animatronics (very tame, and they don't do much -- don't go just for the dinos). Anyway, it could be so much more. The theater - turned ride vehicles - was revolutionary back in the 1980s. It still could be!

If you've never been on this I still say it's a must see. The beginning with Ellen, Bill Nye and Alex Trebek is good fun if you've never seen it before.
The "refurb" is invisible, I'm going with the crowd that says it's probably new technology that's the underlying groundwork for the real upcoming refurb.
I'll agree that, at best, the dinosaurs are outdated, at worst they're laughably bad. It's hard to believe they were ever impressive.
It's indeed in need of a major overhaul that's probably coming soon. Ride it again just so you've done it before it's gone.

Go here if it rains! If you get caught in a summer storm head here. The attraction is about 45 minutes so when you come back out the rain has usually stopped.

If you've never seen it and have an hour to waste then this show's for you. If you have seen it then there really isn't any reason why you would want to see it again, unless it is about to rain or 95 degrees out.
The pre show has run its course. The entire attraction feels old, which is a shame b/c it was enjoyable 10-15 years ago.

A bizarre case; it was out of date, then updated with Ellen and Bill to be ... still out of date! And even that was a long time ago. Don't expect to learn anything about the history or future energy here you didn't know by the 6th grade.
If you have a child (or an adult) who'd like a 45-minute nap in relative comfort, this is for you. Otherwise, keep walking. Maybe if no one goes on it, they'll get around to updating it again someday...

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Ellen is hilarious! Cons: This will eat about an hour of your day.
If you've got the hour or two, by all means, experience this witty and educational attraction with a very unique ride system. But only after you've experienced the rest of FutureWorld. Only after you've visited World Showcase and seen its nooks and crannies, experienced its entertainment and food.
OR - if you can't make it back to the hotel, this is a wonderful place to catch a 30-minute nap.

I find Ellen and Bill Nye to be entertaining, so I enjoy the ride. The downside is the length, it goes on too long (unless you are napping out of the heat, in which case you could say it is too short).

This is a cool 45 min ride. Great for getting off your feet. A couple scenes are very good. The remainder can be lengthy and frequently feel like a commercial for the original sponsor of the pavilion - Exxon. It also reflects the science and technology of the time the movie was made, so is out-of-date regarding global warming or modern technological advances.

My sister and I both enjoy this ride. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone wanting to do and see everything at Epcot in a day because it does eat up a big chunk of your time.

This is a great place to get out of the heat. The attraction is rather long, around 45 minutes, which might be a problem for some people with small children. Plus, there are some areas that are very dark, which might also be a problem for young ones.
Get there early enough to see the entire pre-show. You'll miss part of the story if you don't. I think this attraction has a good message and is presented in an entertaining way. A little humor certainly helps keep this from being an overly boring attraction.

Unlike many riders, I still enjoy this ride, largely because it recalls a different era of Future World. I'd like to see an updated version, but poor updates to other rides make me nervous. Thankfully, the "moving theater" system remains impressive, particularly during the dinosaur sequences. Those audio-animatronics are dated, but they are grand enough to work well. The problematic aspects are the jokes from Ellen, which are straight out of the '90s, and the old environmental info.

good ride!!! Ellen and Bill Nye fit right in! The jeopardy was funny( Stupid Judy!) And the dinosaurs were good!

Ive loved this ride ever since i was a kid. I was thrilled to ride it again on my honeymoon... My wife just laughed at me being a big kid again.
I recommend it for anyone wanting an air break from the heat or whom have kids that love dinosaurs. bit loud in parts and dark which may scare younger kids... but its a great ride

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Indoors. Funny. Flowes well. Wait times are not long. Holds lots of people. Cons: The ride's a little to long (40 minutes).
A great attraction that we enjoy. A little updating and condense it a little, and it would move up my scale.
