While kids might find this ride boring, I enjoy the nice boat ride and tour of the gardens. A good way to relax in the busy Land Pavillion or while waiting for your Soarin fast pass.

This may seem odd, but Living with the Land has become a real favorite for me and my daughter. I don't know why exactly as it's nothing spectacular, but we enjoy reading all the signs for the fruits & vegetables being grown there. And I would actually love to grow Mickey shaped pumpkins.

We rode this for the first time as a time killer as we were waiting for our Soarin' fast pass time and I was actually pleasantly surprised. I didn't know that Disney had these projects going on and found myself intrigued by the gardening projects and research they were conducting. My kids enjoyed riding through and looking at the different things too, the Cinderella pumpkin was a favorite. This isn't something I would stand in line to do, but it is something all Disney lovers should experience at least once.

This is actually a great ride. My kids really got into how all the vegetables were grown. You can hit this ride early in the morning and it is right near soaring.

My kids think this is boring, but I actually like it. No need to fastpass it, not sure why it even is a fastpass ride. The Mickey pumpkins are the highlight for me. Be careful riding in the middle of the day, the greenhouses can be very hot.

This is not a bad attraction to kill some time on. It's fun to see the Mickey shaped pumpkin and learn about the variety of ways they utilize the land around WDW

This still remains a favorite for me. I enjoy taking this relaxing boat ride through the land pavilion to see how food is harvested and grown. Sometimes I let my mind wander off and I think about my fast pass that I hold for Soarin...
Once you get through the introductory part of the ride, you go into the greenhouses where they show you some of the more innovative ways Disney grows some of their crops. It is very interesting to see. If this stuff really interests you, you can also take the Behind the Seeds Tour which will take you behind the scenes of this ride and give you more information into what Disney is doing with their crops and harvests. There is a desk near the Soarin entrance to sign up for this tour.
I highly recommend this ride. I have never been on the tour.

A nice educational boat trip. Interesting if you have time to kill before Soarin' but I will never understand why there is a line for this attraction. Kids find it boring, and if you've seen it once, consider it done.

This is a must for every trip. I really enjoy the relaxing boat ride. If you have time, sign up for the Behind the Seeds Tour at the desk near Soarin. It is not very much extra(low price for a tour at WDW) and very interesting if you are a gardener. I do miss the real people doing the narrating- now it's just a soundtrack.

This now in our must-do list. We find it so relaxing and interesting - we always find new fruits and vegetables to "ooo" and "ahh" over. But a thrill ride this is not. We like to hit it after doing Soarin' or around the time we want to grab a bite to eat at the delicious Sunshine Seasons.

Hasn't changed much since the early days of Epcot, when there was a real sens of wonder about past, present, and future technologies. Do they still provide vegetables for WDW restaurants? Not a must-see, but I like it, and how it retains the character of what I loved so much about Epcot.

My DS, who was 5 at the time, gets bored easily. Yet, this and Beauty and the Beast live on stage were his top favourites at Disney. My DD,was 7, she also loved this. I literally had to tear them away from the ride. After about the 4th time around. I think I would have fallen asleep the 5th time. This year I'm going to take them on the Behind the Seeds tour. Then maybe we won't need to ride so many times. If you want to relax in air conditioning with a short line..this is the ride for you...bring a pillow and catch a 13 minute nap..lol.

I love this ride, without doubt one of my favorites at Epcot. It's a slow moving boat ride that takes you through different (faux) environments, like a rain forest and a desert and then into Disney's green houses and aquacultural fish farms. You get to see some very unique growing techniques, plants and animals. It has a very "behind the scenes" feel to it.

We were excited about going on this ride. The queue line was void of any theming and seemed to take forever, but the ride was great and worth the wait.
Being in the sea with Nemo and friends was very cool.

Love the classic Epcot theme here. Educational but entertaining at the same time. Has the potential to be a bit boring for smaller ones but my 5yo actually enjoyed it and made me tell her what each of the fruits and vegetables in the green house were.
And that's what makes this ride so great for me, it actually made my daughter interested in learning about different foods and farming techniques.

Living with the land is a good way to get away from the noise in the Land. It is educational, but slighted. The greenhouses are interesting.
Ity can be boring for people who are not interested in gardening. Also, if the ride gets stuck, stay in the boat. The cast members will eventually get you out after 45 minutes or so. Do not go through the emergency exits. There is no way out.

The younger crowd may get fidgety, it's a bit long. But once the kids see the aquariums of fish & alligators, and then the unique foods in the greenhouse, they'll perk right up!
Much more appreciated by the older crowd, but entertaining enough for the younger ones.

Very enjoyable attraction with lots of things to see, even though some of the 'state of the art' farming tech they're showing off was state of the art in 1982 and not so much now. Previously, the boats had a cast member as the 'guide' explaining things; I preferred that as occasionally they were willing to answer questions on the tour. Still, an old favorite.
If you're very interested in the greenhouse part of the ride, look into the Behind the Seeds tour for a closer look.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): The green house with the huge hidden Mickey Cons: Seeing the fish can be hard for people who are sensitive to animal rights
This attraction is actually very interesting. There is something about the leisurely pace of the boat mixed with the brightness of the green house that is very welcoming and relaxing. I'm not crazy about the fish/crocodile room, and the AA section isn't all that wonderful (though I dig the simple storm effects), but the ride over all is worth doing atleast once.

The first part show various ecosystems, some of which are also visible from the rotating restaurant above. Then the ride shows various farming and agricultural systems. My children usually do not enjoy this ride.

This is one of the few rides that lives up to the original concept of Epcot: Edutainment. You start off going through some show scenes of different environments and how those environments effect farming and vegetation. The second half of the ride goes through working greenhouses.
