I love this ride. I do think the original version was best. It is a simple entertaining ride with some hidden mickeys sprinkled throughout. I always feel more creative when I come out of the ride. Little children may be afraid when the lights go out and it sounds like a train is approaching.

This ride isn't too bad, but every time I am on it I remember how much better the original was than this one. A nice sit down ride, but nothing special.

This is a cute little attraction, but it lacks the imagination that the orginal ride-through had. Figment needs to be more prominently displayed as the "mascot" of Epcot...at least in Future World. He's lost of bit of cache with this new ride. That's how I think of him anyway.
One of the best parts of Journey Into Imagination is the smell area. It's great to hear the groans of people who don't know what's coming! I also enjoy the upside room.
It also has a catchy little tune that sticks with you the rest of the day.

This is my favorite ride ever! There is just something about Figment that draws me in. I still miss the original but this will have to do. You will be hard pressed to find a line for this ride but take a Journey into your imagination!

We love Figment! I wish they would do the meet and greet with him again. We actually love the new version more than the old. It's just a fun silly ride and Figment is a great character, I wish they did more with him. Kodak did a nice job with the lab after the ride, my kids still love the Melody Makers the most.

I too still like the original but this version is better than the 2nd version. At least Figment is back. I still have to ride it each time I come visit to get my Figment-fix.

The ride was better before the revamp, but still good. I have GREAT memories from my first trip not only of this attraction but the interactive fountains out front...we've spent hours of many a vacation with the little ones trying to "catch" water at the spitting fountains outside of the attraction. Always a must do.

Still one of my favorites, despite the fact I miss the original incarnation (though this is better than the 2nd version). Cute, with a catchy song. The jumping fountains outside the end are some of my favorite landscaping in WDW.

The Journey into Imagination is a fun, educational ride for the whole family. The younger set will really enjoy it as I am sure everyone who rides it falls in love with Figment. It's decent, but the original was still better. Beware of the skunk!

O.K, I know I will be in the minority but my kids and I love this ride. The song gets stuck in my head and I just love that little purple dragon! There is never a line (probably because of what I said above) but it's a great fun escape for our family. The exit area has fun hands on activities for the kids and you can send silly free email postcards home.

I never saw any of the other versions of this, but I enjoyed Journey into Imagination enough to recommend it. I've always found it a walk-on, so it really doesn't take that much time to enjoy. Check it out on your way out of Canada.

What can be said that hasn't already been said? They made a tragic mistakes when they began messing with this attraction. The original ride's originality and imagination captured your mind and heart and the chemistry between Figment and Dreamfinder was beyond reproach.
The new ride...while better than it was a few years ago...still doesn't come close.

Other than John Cleese (and I guess Figment for the die-hards) there isn't much here for adults and, unfortunately, I don't think there's anything that would keep someone between 10 and 25 entertained.
Great for kids though, who says there has to be something for everyone on every big ride?

The ride itself is fun and there are usually never any long lines, but there are two things keeping this attraction from being more popular. 1) the original was done better. 2)The ride itself although cute feels like it is missing that extra touch in a couple of places.

Some rides are cheesy classic Disney that we all love, but this ride is the bad cheesy, at least for the adults/teens. I love Figment, but this is best left to entertain the wee ones - they will love it!
Even better are the fountains out front - I could watch people playing in those for hours!

I never got to experience the old Figment attraction, so I have no comparison. But I really dig this version. I am a Figment fan so this ride is very cute to me. The scenes are well designed, though the sound does get a bit unbalanced through shifts in the scenes.

Better than the second version, but the original was orders of magnitude better, limiting how well this can be rated. Someone who has never seen the original will probably enjoy this more. You can usually see this with minimal lines.

At one point an excellent ride, renovations have taken much of the original charm out of it. You can expect to almost never find a line and that's for a reason. Go here if you want to cool off.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Return of Figment! Cons: The fact that Figment left in the first place
It goes without saying that anyone familiar with the current and original incarnations of this ride will doubtless prefer the original. However, in and of itself, Journey into Imagination is cute, clever and generally quite entertaining. Perhaps even better, it is rare that there is more than a 5-10 minute wait for this air-conditioned attraction.
One thing to be aware of ahead of time is: Disney makes use of its "Smellitizer" in this attraction while the ride vehicle is stationed in the Smell Lab. Unlike the delightful aromas of Soarin', here you are doused with a highly realistic skunk scent. Luckily, it only lasts about 2-3 seconds, but if you have a sensitive sniffer, it can be quite repulsive.
