Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great escape from the hustle of the park Cons: not very exciting
On a crowded day, we love to go over to Tom Sawyer's island to relax. When my kids were younger it was a great place for dad & them to run and explore while I got a much needed mommy break. We don't do it every trip, but if we have time we love to relax there for a bit.

Finally did Tom Sawyers Island in 2007. The raft ride over had me in suspense not knowing what to expect but once you get there you look for the excitment but never seem to find it. Nice little walk around area. More for the person who just wants to get away for a little bit from the hussle of it all. I had no desire to do it again. Felt like I was missing out on the going on's in the park

Tom Sawyer's Island is a cool tranquil area to let the kids run off steam in the middle of a busy park day (do be careful about losing track of the little ones, though!). The raft over is a unique experience, too.
Be sure and catch the first raft over in the morning and try and find one of the paintbrushes left on the Isand. By returning to the boat captain, you can earn a front of line pass for any of the mountains!(this doesn't happen every day, though)

We just LOVE Tom Sawyers island! It is such a wonderful escape from the rush of the parks. It is never crowded, always cool and such fun to explore. Be on the lookout for the hidden paintbrushes!!! If you score one you will can give it to the float driver and he/she will give you a fast pass for Thunder Mtn. Railroad or Splash Mtn.!

My kids love this place. They like the caves and especially the fort that you can look out at Big Thunder Mountain and shoot the rifles. It's a fun play area for running off excess energy or getting away from the crowds in the park.

Not a lot to do on the island, but young kids will enjoy exploring and just walking around the island. A great place for some down time or to wait out a fast pass.

It's a great escape from crowds and sun and there are some nice nooks in which to sit and enjoy what breeze there may be but overall it's boring. I'm glad I went so I know what's there but I don't need to go back.

We have only been over to Tom Sawyer Island once as there is not to much to do over there. I thought there used to be a counter service snack area over there. Would be a nice spot to enjoy an ice cream or something.

This was certainly a sleeper favorite for us. We were three girls (10 year old, 26 year old, 28 year old) and had a blast exploring the island. The caves were amazing! Some people are put off that it isn't over the top Disney, but that's part of why we loved it. It was fun to explore, but it was paths, caves, forts, and bridges, not excitement. If you know what to expect, you'll probably enjoy it more.

Tom Sawyer's Island is a really great place to take a break on. The secluded, foliage covered island offers a cool place to relax and take a breather. There are neat area's to explore with caves, forts, and other landmarks for the kids to investigate. Don't miss this!

A nice getaway from the crowds, even on a busy day in the Magic Kingdom. All the greenery tends to make it shady and cool, as well. Lots of paths to explore (don't miss the barrel bridge, or the Fort if it's open) and the odd bench, barrel or rocking chair to sit on. Was more of a destination when the Aunt Polly's counter service still served sandwiches and the like; it is rarely open now and only served ice cream last I looked.

We went over to the island on our last visit (2 adults). For us it was fun because it was less crowded than the park. We loved exploring the Fort. Next trip we can't wait to take our almost 3 year old over to have some time exploring.

Tom Sawyer is a nice diversion for little ones to blow off some steam. For adults it is nice to get away from the crowds for a bit but other than that it is boring.

We were on the lookout for one of the hidden paintbrushes, so it gave us something to do while on the Island. We would have definitely been bored otherwise. Neat place, but very little to make it worth the time.

My kids, when they were younger had a great time. My daughter did, though, get scared and started crying in the cave because of the dark. Adults will find little to do, except possibly take a nap.

This is a fun place. We like to walk over to the caves and walk through them. We love the rope ramp too. There is some places to eat if you bring something over too. Great picture scenes!

I like the diverse aspects of the attraction. You start with a raft ride to the island and then while on the island you get to explore caves, playgrounds, rickety bridges and playing in a fort. If I went there when I was 10 my parents would never have got me off the Island. Usually do not go every year.

It is interesting if your children are of the right age. It also has the advantage of a place in the park that can be relatively quiet on very crowded days.

The island itself has some cute little tunnels, caves, a fort to climb in and pretend, and some bouncy bridges. It is a great place for a child who can't sit still and needs to run off some steam. I really like it. But I always get very thirsty and there is only one water fountain. So bring a drink. There are rest rooms here also.
It is a really cute idea. The kids love the fort!
