If you are like my son and don't want to get wet then throw on poncho and get in a log! Even if "drops" aren't your thing you have to try this ride! It is truely one of the most amazing rides in all of Walt Disney World.

A great ride, perhaps the best in the park. Love the relaxing, well themed ride that tells a great story. This is a nice long ride followed up with a great drop at the end. You can get pretty wet depending on your luck and the temps outside.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great Storytelling in the Queue and Attraction Cons: You could be soaked, or only sprinkled.
This is by far my most favorite ride in the park! The storytelling is fantastic, the music stays with you all day, and if you were in a bad mood getting on, it's pretty likely you'll be in a good one when you get off. Also, nothing beats Splash Mountain when its "surface of the sun" hot in the park!

As a kid I used to gladly wait for hours in the hot Florida sun to ride this, and it remains my favorite Magic Kingdom attraction even now. I love the story - there are so many great visuals throughout the attraction, and the various drops make the ride exciting even after riding it many times. A must do for any Magic Kingdom visitor!

This ride is well worth a wait. It is a long ride and well worth it. Note that it does not just have one big drop it has many smaller drops but if a young one is getting nervous about the big one the little ones will make them scared like mine! Its a great classic, take the trip!

This may be the very best ride in all of Magic Kingdom, it combines the thrill of a water ride, with the animation and story that Disney is so famous for. If we don't want to get wet we just throw on the ponchos and ride anyway. I think this ride is completely different during the day than night...Every time I ride I find something new! LOVE it.

The first year I went to WDW my husband ask me to come on and time after time said no. The drop looked a little to much for me. He kept telling me to give it a try he knew I would love the inside of the attraction and I just had to see it. So at the end of our trip I finally agreed and LOVED IT!. The ride in the log ride is so relaxing. As you ride through the attraction it seems that you can find something new everytime. Great ride for all ages! Nice on a warm day. Depending where you sit and if they have the water cannons turned on you can get from mildly wet to ridiculous wet. Great fun to be had by all!

I love this ride! The music is great and the story is there. It is what Disney is all about. It isn't just a log flume ride. I like it that after the drop you aren't finished with the ride either. Compared with a lot of other rides it is a long attraction, but it is nice to have a place to sit down and enjoy the music and the characters. If you are afraid of drops and heights I may would avoid this, but the drop isn't as bad as the front of the attraction appears to be.

This is my another one of my favorites in Disney World. The music is fun, the theming is awesome. If you don't like thrills then skip this one. The drop can be quite scary. Also if you don't want to get wet then take a poncho or something. Also, if you have a bag or purse that has stuff in it that can't get wet, go to the store before you get on the ride and ask for a shopping bag and put all of your stuff in it and it will stay dry.

Since my first trip to WDW, Splash has always been my favorite attraction. The storytelling and detail fully engulf and for the duration of the ride you completely forget you're in a theme park. In retrospect, the drops throughout the ride are really not that bad and go by quickly, but children may be put off by being able to see the main drop from the pathway in front of the attraction.

This is one of the best rides at Magic Kingdom - fantastic theme, a great drop, and fun catchy songs. The drop might be intimidating for youngsters and people afraid of plummeting to their deaths.

What a great ride! The theming is great, even if you have never seen the movie. The view from the top of the drop is amazing. If you get a chance to ride at night the castle is gorgeous and its a memory maker. Good for pre-teens to adults. Maybe a little scary for younger kids.

Don't do this on a cold day because you will get wet.
Disney did a great job in turning an otherwise ordinary log ride into a great story telling attraction. Lots of little things to see as you do this over and over again. Great song that will leave you humming the tune all day.

The characters on this ride are priceless! If you have a dry sense of humor and you've hit the slapsticky time of day...you'll be in stitches on this ride. It's a nice way to chill out in the afternoon, too. I love this ride!

Slash Mountain is a fun ride for kids of all ages. The theming is awfully cute, and the ride is well-maintained. (Did you know that the showboat at the end with all the characters is a result of the Imagineers showing all the leftover animatronics they had at that time on the same boat?). The drop is thrilling but not too scary.
There is a cute play area underneath the train station that makes a nice waiting area for those too young or too scared to ride.
Whatever you do - do not ride with me. I always manage to get super-soaked whenever I ride - Kali River soaked, Florida-thunderstorm without an umbrella soaked, wringing your clothes out, shoe-changing soaked - so I don't ride too often. I don't like to squish around the park the rest of the day.

This is personally my favorite ride in all of Walt Disney World. From the music to the audio-animatronics, it is the perfect disney world experience. This is NOT a ride for those that dislike getting wet or hate steep drops.

You can get wet, sometimes soaked, sometimes just a little damp. Unlike other attractions, these AA's seem to be in great shape. The story sometimes makes you forget about the flume at the end. Very fun! Much more to it than the drop at the end.
