Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great atmosphere - make reservations for a party! Cons:
The Biergarten is a rollicking good time with plentiful authentic German food. The buffet contains dish after dish of tasty German favorites, and satisfies those with a craving for the deutch.
Children may find the food less appealing, and have to resort to the usual Disney buffet items of chicken strips, macaroni and cheese, and the like. Adults choose from sausages, chicken, Roasted pork, and traditional dishes of spaetzle and schnitzel.
The floor show is fun - with oom pa pas and waving steins all around. Sharing tables with other families adds to the authentic biergarten feel, but may be off-putting to some.

With all the times we have been to disney world we have never been here before so we decided to go on our last trip I am very happy to say we are actually going again this coming August because we really enjoyed the food and entertainment.
We went for lunch this is a buffet so there was a lot of food choices lunch was $19.99 per adult and we did have our tables of wonderland card which gave us some extra savings. Since I am German I thought the food choices were very good and the food quality was good as well. This is an all you can eat meal and soda/iced tea was included with the meal.
When you arrive, you sit down at a long table there might be another family with you. We also saw a show which was very entertaining .

Biergarten reproduces the atmosphere of a small German village during Oktoberfest. With live music and festival seating. It's great for kids of all ages to have a good time.
The food is buffet style, with lots of sausages and various meats and salads and German style desserts. Not the best palce for a vegetarian as non-meat selections are pretty slim. Picky kids might not be crazy about it either.
If you're a beer fan, be sure to try a 1L stein of the Optimator Doppelbock.

Our family enjoyed the Biergarten. The food was tasty (but not terribly ethnic...think plain or Americanized German). The theming is awesome, I love the feeling of sitting outdoors in a Biergarten, even though you are in doors. The Oompa Band helped to entertain the kids. Now I didn't mind being seated at a table with strangers (very authentic Biergarten), but I did not enjoy how cramped we felt. It was a table for 8 pushed up near one of the little sets of stairs. There were 6 adults + 1 toddler and we just did not fit very well. I think we'd go back someday, but it isn't a "must" do for us.

We ate here and had a great meal. The unique foods were fun to try. I'm glad we had a big party because I'm not sure how I would feel about sitting with strangers. I'm sociable but I'd hate to get stuck with a ornery family or grumpy pops.

I had a blast at this resturant. I really enjoyed the food and the German band. I didn't care for sharing the table with other people, but at least the kid was behaved.

We love the many options (cold and hot), the atmosphere, service, beer, entertainment. I can't think of anything bad to say. Kids were entertained. They've brought us towels when we were soaked in a downpour. Food is fresh and there is something for everyone. Plan to wait at the main dining hour. It's popular. Also, be prepared to sit with people you don't know if you have a party smaller than 6 people.

The restaurant looks like the center of a quaint German village. When the band plays it can be a lot of fun.
Plenty of different foods and good beer.
The kids loved the choices and the pudding.
It can be a little loud.
Bring your appetite.
Don't go if you are not hungry.
A late lunch would take care of lunch and dinner for sure.

My family went for the first time last fall and we loved it! The entertainment was amazing and the kids got up and danced!
The food was great (1st time having German dishes), wonderful buffet and beer/non-alcoholic beer was delish!
The ambience reminded me of being in a village from the Sound of Music!

At one time this was one of our favorite restaurants in EPCOT. Our last few trips have changed our minds. The food choices and quality are not what they once were.
While we don't mind the "community" seating, we had an unenjoyable incident on our last trip. We were a party of 4 that was seated along with what was supposed to be another party of 4. However, the other group showed up with 5 people and insisted they were a party of 5. We were gracious enough to put one of our children at the end of the table to make room for the extra person in their party. However, this group was rather unruly through the meal and had obviously had too much to drink even before they got to the Biergarten. The extra alcohol they consumed didn't help make the situation any more pleasant either.
I don't think we'll be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

With the atmoshphere and show alone, it's impossible to not be in a good mood when you leave here. Although buffet food isn't as good as having something freshly prepared for you, it does give you a chance to try a wide variety of German food. The only issue we had was that it was very difficult to get in and out of our seats because the tables are so close together - normally, not that big a deal but when you need to get to the buffet it is a bit of an inconvenience.

If you've eaten at real authentic German restaurants, you'll probably find the buffet here somewhat lacking, but the food is not terrible. I gave it a fairly high rating because it is a fun experience.
Try to time it so that your reservation is about 15 minutes before the show starts (show times are posted in the times guide), that way you can get your food and be back in your seat to see the show.
Also, the group seating can be fun if you end up with fun people, but it can be less than enjoyable if you end up seated with people who are annoyed by the fact that there is group seating.

I do love the atmosphere in the Biergarten. The Oktoberfest band is excellent. I've seen both their regular and Christmas shows. The food selection is great, however at one time they had a dish called chicken schnitzel which was awesome. But it's been about two years since they had it. Unless the menu has changed recently they have pork schnitzel instead which is not as good. I had asked one of the servers about the chicken schnitzel and he said that he had never heard of that kind of dish in Germany. Oh well.
Also like some of the other reviewers I'm not too thrilled with the close seating and being seated with other guests eating there.
But nonetheless this has to be my favorite place to eat in EPCOT.

- Having lived in Germany myself, I am inclined to feel great sympathy for the employees of the Biergarten restaurant. Most of the Lederhosen and polka music is reserved for Germans over the age of 65 who live in Bavaria. But not at Epcot! Here youthful Germans are clad in folksy garb and made to sing the same antiquated songs over and over again. Despite that, everyone seemed to have a very friendly and welcoming demeanor, and to anyone who pictures all Germans as looking like they just walked off the set of Ricola commercial, the musicians are entertaining. As for the buffet, my wife and I think that there is a great variety of choices, and most of the choices are good. However, one must possess a relatively brave culinary spirit in order to try things like Herring Salad, which was delicious, by the way. Other items that were tasty were the pork roast and the red cabbage. The Schnitzel was a little on the dry side, but with a spoonful of the Hunters’ sauce, it went from merely edible to good. Couple all of the good food with a mug of beer that weighs as much as a newborn child, and you have the makings of a great dining experience.

I took my DGD here because she wanted to try German Food, and because I wanted to go here also. It was a buffet and we sat with another family. Unfortunatly, we sat down at the end of a show, and were done eating before another started. The food was prepared well with the exeception of the spatzel(spelling?). We both tried different foods and found it to be delightful. It was a bit noisy in there and the lighting was low, but overall it was a nice experience and would go again.

Biergarten i s a busy, noisy restaurant. You will be required to share a table with other parties. The buffet has a good selection of traditional german food but there is limited choice for children.
The entertainment was on twice during our visit. The band are fun - both we and are children enjoyed it - the kids danced!
However, this was an expensive evening meal and not very good vaalue for money.

they entertain you while you eat my 2yo son who never sits still watched the band while he ate the german food and i actually got a chance to eat this time peacefully. it was so loud no one noticed when he finally got a little loud. the food was different but we liked it and didnt leave hungry we try to go here everytime we go to wdw. the vanilla sauce in th desserts and the pretzels were our favorites.

Wait times even with reservations are getting out of hand. Food isn't as good as it once was, but it's still a bargain in our opinion. Don't wait till you're burned out tired cause this one is fun and festive.

Very first table service we ever had so this one is quite memorable. It is set up like your eating in an out side square during Octoberfest. (I love the "out side" atmosphere inside a building)
Be prepared to share your table with complete strangers. We sat at a long table of 8 pple. This was a little weird for me at first, but proved to be fun in the end.
German band played on stage, dance floor in front if you're so inclined. The night we were there it was all kids have a great time dancing around.
Very loud,active, energentic place. Buffet food was good. Lots of selection. Chicken was good as was the leek soup. I esp. love the selection of sausages.

Our favorite place in Epcot. We have 7 (5 kids)in our party and all of us loved the food. Our favorites were the pork with crackle, roasted veg with hunter sauce, sausages, and the berry dessert. We arrived 20 minutes early for a 1:30 and we were seated right away. Our waitress was great. The band is wonderful and we loved dancing to the polka and raising our glasses and singing. We made a great memory here.

We were a group of 25.
Biergarten lends itself beautifully to this as it is festival seating.
Restaurant is themed as a German village during Oktoberfest, complete with a band.
Food is varied sausages, schnitzel and other German inspired food. Great dessert selection.
And Oktoberfest would not be complete without beer. available by the liter with different selections of authentic German beers.

This was our second time to dine here. We liked it so much the first time that we invited friends to dine with us this time.
The atmosphere is great! Not only do you get a great buffet of authentic items to choose from, you get great entertainment as well. My favorite is the bells!
For those with a more choosy palette there are many items that you will enjoy. The Chicken Cutlet with Hunter Gravy is very good and the chef station with carved pork roast is delicious.
If you are a true dining enthusiast you must try the red cabbage, potato dumplings and the cuts of sausage. YUM! For dessert the bavarian cheesecake is the best!

After having dined here several years earlier, we were hugely disappointed with the Biergarten. Sharing a table with strangers really doesn't bother me, but what does is when your table mates are rude. I was traveling with my handicapped cousin, and the looks we got from the people seated with us were unbelievable. She has Downs Syndrome, not three heads! They looked at us like we were dirt, imposing in on their good time. In fact, I overheard one of them saying "They told me that we wouldn't have to share a table!" The one gentleman in the party was celebrating a birthday, & my cousin wished him a happy birthday, & he just glared at her. We were VERY uncomfortable throughout the meal. I didn't expect them to bow down to us or anything, but the nastiness was downright cruel. The buffet was OK - the Bavarian cheese cake was yummy, but a lot of the sausages tasted like your average deli bologna. The chicken schnitzel was dry. We also were nearly knocked down in the buffet line when another man pushed in front of us. Overall, a very middling experience. On the plus side, the theming is really fun & the service was enthusiastic & warm. My review would have been much better if we hadn't been stuck with mean people.

ive been going to disney since i was 3 years old and my family ALWAYS eats here. we try to venture out and try something else but it never works! i LOVE this pickled salad here, its hard to describe and looks gross but i can eat plate after plate of it. the pretzel rolls are heaven and the schnitzel is AMAZING along with the assortment of sausages. my mom lived in germany for years and said it is very very authentic! gotta love this place. now some may not like the family "party" seating but ive never had problems with any families we have sat with! most have been very friendly (minus a few unruly children a few times) the show is great and on my honeymoon they sang to me and my husband and everyone toasted to us! it was GREAT!

The entertainment was great, our 19 month old was dancing in his seat. The atmosphere was really nice as well - it looked like you were sitting in the town square of a German Village. DH liked the beer of which he ordered the Beer Flight and only regretted not getting a liter of beer which he saw others getting later but was too full to order at that point.
I thought there was a major lack of veggies, maybe Germany doesn't have any? Well they did have the slaw and kraut variety. If you like potatoes and meat, you'll be all set and the desserts were delicious.
Overall we had a good time and our son loved it which is a big plus if you have small children just be sure and try to get a seat when the music is going.

Review for dinner, December 29th, 2009. Our second time dining here. We were a group of 11.
The Biergarten is a hearty buffet in the midst of a sea of endless, raucous oom-pah-pah.
There were lots of proteins, but most of the veggies come in slaw form. There were lots of good sauces and enough variety in the meats to give a person a choice. The potato-lovers in our group also got their fill of uber-tasty roasties.
This is a double line buffet that meets in the middle (there will be people going the opposite way). Our server this last time out was friendly and accommodating, and regularly brought refills and cleared the table, which is all you can ask at a buffet. The house band was loud, but that's the point of Oktoberfest, I guess.
Thw two guys in our party who had the beer tasting thing gave it high marks.
If there was a downside to our dinner, it's that it took a while longer to get seated than it should have. We were a large party but the place wasn't that crowded when we showed up.
