Description: It's Oktoberfest year round at the Biergarten Restaurant. The authentic Bavarian theme includes long communal tables (you will be seated with other guests) and live entertainment. German musicians and dancers perform throughout the lunch and dinner hours. Both meals are buffet style. Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good Food, Music Cons: No Sauer Braten at Lunch!
Dec. 2010. Better than I expected. The buffet had a good variety. No complaints from me.. except sauer braten is only at dinner. I knew that going in for lunch. The music was enjoyable and some young children danced in front of the stage. Not really any audience participation.. I imagined people cheering and it being a little louder... maybe that's the late dinner crowd! I'll have to come back when more people are drinking beer to see if it's any different!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Food, Cold Beer, Potential Good Time Cons: "Communal Dining" may be a turn off for some..
Much like the buffet itself, the experience here can run hot or cold. It depends largely on the group of people you are seated with, and the general mood of the audience. We've been twice, and if you are a fan of German food, (but make no mistake - WAY overpriced German food) you'll enjoy it. The first time we were there, the crowd was oddly uptight and some actually seemed offended at the large amounts of beer being served. ( Hello ? "Beer Garden" !) Our return visit for dinner was an entirely different experience. People locked arm and arm, swaying to the music, laughing and dancing. It was one of the best times at EPCOT we've ever had. (And that's saying something !)

Positive aspects of the product (pros): real German food Cons: could depend on your table mates
We were down in first week of March 2011 on a Deluxe Dining Plan so the price paid is what it would have been without the plan. This was our second time eating here. The food has been great both times and we love German food. Their red cabbage is one German food item that I think was a little lacking. The show is nice. The dining experience depends a lot on you and your table mates since you are seated at a table four (even if there are only two of you like we were). The couple next to us was great to talk to.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Food, the beer (of course!), the setting was fun and cute, the show was entertaining Cons: We had to wait awhile for the show to start, but this wasn't a big issue because we got to take our time eating
What a fun place to eat! We had a great time, we left feeling stuffed, and the show was fun. The food was plentiful and delicious, it was nice to try new things and revisit some old favorites.
The family style seating can be a little awkward if you're paired with quiet people who don't want to socialize, but don't let this deter you at all! It's definitely a fun restaurant.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Large selection and a show. Cons:
This wasn't our cup of tea. The food wasn't bad, just not our favorite. There was a lot of selection and the service was excellent. The food was fresh and they kept it all well stocked. The pretzel bread was awesome! The strudel that our server raved about was only so-so. Our group of nine filled up our table, so we didn't sit with other groups and we were right in front of the stage. We would recommend it to people if they haven't tried it, they may love it. We wouldn't go again.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): wonderful meal and service. Cons: Loud environment
Had a great time here. Food was good, well except for the cold cuts which I really didn't understand why they were included. If you leave here hungry it's your own fault there is a large enough selection here to please everyones palate. The entertainment was great too. The polka band played most of the time while we were dining and got the kids involved as well. That's one thing you have to give Disney Credit for...they keep everything geared up for the kids. If you don't like eating with kids around....try the Grand Floridian or something like that, this place is not for you. Other than Ohana's this was the next best sit down meal we had in the two weeks we were there. Highly recommended.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): good band Cons: seating, food, service
We chose this restaurant on the reccomendation of a family member and it was so disappointing. We knew it would be communal seating(tables of 8). The other guests at the table had been seated long before us and were well into their second round of huge beers so it felt as if we were the latecomers to a party and were being shunned for it. The food was medicore at best, the german potato salad yucky(one would think they could be that right!) The server was nice but not on her job,we had to stack plates on top of each other to eat-another yuck! The 20% tip was still asked of us even though no service was provided. The band was fun and all of the kids loved to dance to the music but that didn't make it worth a trip.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A lot of food choice, great food, amazing atmosphere, and a lot to keep little ones entertained. Cons: having to sit with other parties
I will start out with the CON because it is an important one. If your party is smaller then 8, you will be sitting with other parties at the same table (NO EXCEPTIONS). Not that I am against it but with small children you may be a little off, but that said very pro child, our 5 y/o loved it. This was a surprising gem that we found. For years we had heard good things but never ventured in to see how it was. The setting is awesome, similar to that of San Angel Inn in Mexico Pavilion. You are transported to Germany in a Beer Garden during Octoberfest. The live music and band keep the mood up (and if you are drinking they will have you chugging down your large beer at every toast they do). The food is amazing, one of the best cold food layouts on property. The Chicken Schnitzel is very good. Try the beer flight the smaller beers are very good deal, and they come in handy for chugging during the toasts
. Try it out with the family.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Food, atmosphere, service Cons: Loud
We ate here on Oct 25/12. We were a party of three seated with a party of five, the family we were seated with were very pleasant and the table was in the front row close to the band. The band was entertaining, but it made it very hard to have a conversation. What I tried of the food was excellent, my favourite was the salad selection. All were very fresh and flavourful and the food was replenished frequently. Our server was pleasant and did her job well. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try if you want a buffet with food other than traditional American fare,

Positive aspects of the product (pros): food Cons: rude manager
All 5 days of our vacation at Walt Disney World were excellent, but the last evening was awful because of Biergarten Restaurant manager Nikki. Her attitude was really terrible; she was rude, offensive and not client-oriented. She did not try to communicate with the clients; she did not try to solve the problem. The only words from her we hear were “No. I can call the security”. It was the great frustration for all our multinational party to meet such an attitude in the Walt Disney World.
I don't think we would ever return to this restaurant.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): food, beer Cons: Some folks dont like community tables
Wife and I had lunch here in Oct. Great food and Great Beer. Some folks might be put off by the seating since your seated with others but for us its not a problem. Food was plentiful and replenished quickly. The band was entertaining and had the crowd going for most of their show. I wish they played a little longer though. If you are at all interested in German Food I highly recommend this spot.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great setting, variety Cons: Sitting with strangers can be hit or miss
One of the most fun restaurants in WDW, especially if you can catch a perforance of the band. Sitting at large tables with strangers can be hit-or-miss, but our experience has been largely good, and sometimes great. The buffet has a great variety, even for picky eaters, and our 18-month old baby loved the food and music last month. Well worth doing at least once, more often if you are a fan of German food and fun.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Delicious food, Unique atmosphere, Live Entertainment Cons: Long wait
I was so pleased with our experience at Biergarten in December 2012. It was our first visit to this restaurant and it WILL NOT BE OUR LAST!!! The food was delicious. Mouth watering. The entertainment and ambiance was delightful My three year old daughter loved the band and being able to dance!
This is now a MUST DO on all future trips to WDW.
The only negative was that we did have a fairly long wait even with an ADR, and arriving 15 minutes prior to the ADR window.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Servers, Atmosphere, Performance Cons: Choices for Kids, Slow in opening extra line
I've been to Biergarten every trip to the World but it is not on my list of places to visit on my next trip.
Unfortunately the food was lacking on this last visit in January. The spatzelle was cold and gummy, and the soup was just barely warm. I know that buffets are hard to keep everything perfect but on previous visits everything tasted fresh and was the right temperature. This was definitely not the case this time.
Our server was great and refilled our drinks when appropriate. The wait in line was a frustration. There was a line that ended up winding back on itself waiting for the food. They didn't set up the second side of the buffet area until all but 2 customers had finally reached the serving area.
The one thing about this restaurant that is great is the entertainment. The polka music and the cow bell presentation is great. I love how they try to get the customers involved by dancing.
It is a fun time but it appears that Biergarten has dropped in quality. With all the other options in World Showcase it will be years before I return.
