Positive aspects of the product (pros): Beautiful restaurant Cons: very slow, not cooked to order
This is my review of Monsieur Paul's. Let me start by saying that my first mistake on this was taking my 16 yr old daughter. She is normally very good about trying new things, but she doesn't have a lot of patience. My second mistake was going when I wasn't feeling very well, but we had just gotten off the Fantasy for PCC 4.0 and I didn't have the opportunity to cancel 24 hours in advance. I ordered the Roasted Duck Breast while my daughter ordered the Filet of Beef. The menu has on it the standard warning about eating under cooked foods, and when our waiter asked us how we wanted them cooked I answered well done, my daughter asked for hers to be medium. Mow it is very possible the waiter didn't understand our answers because I certainly had a difficult time understanding him. The bread service was excellent, Brioche with escargot and garlic butter, I could have made a meal out that alone. We waited quite a long time for our meal to come out, normally I wouldn't have had a problem with this, but several people that came in after us were finished with their meal before ours ever hit the table. Several times our waiter came to apologize but what bothered me most is the manager. He went to several tables, talked to several patrons that evening, but avoided even looking at us. I felt like he was deliberately staying away due to what ever the problem was with us getting our meal. When if did arrive, it was not cooked per our request. The duck was pink and the filet was rare at best, but it had taken so long to get it, we didn't dare send it back. Now the taste of the food wasn't a problem, both dishes were delicious, but the texture of the duck is what I had a problem with. Texture is a big deal for me, and it being a little under done was an issue for me. All in all, If I had to do it over, I would have also gotten the filet, I can tolerate beef being under done a lot easier that duck, and I will probably wait till the kid is a little older. We didn't order any appetizers (with the bread service, you don't need it!), nor did we order a dessert. So just the entree's with our TIW discount came out to just a little under $90
