We ordered the salad which was lovely with the pomergranate seeds and a coffe Margarita which had great bitter Mexican chocolate along the rim. Hubby has the Mole pork which was to die for and I had the three tacos off the appetizer. The food was exceptional. When I spoke to the Manager to compliment he explained that this is the kind of high end Mexican food you would get in a very upscale place in Mexico city. it is not your traditional Mexican food- but a unique version. We saw I lluminations from inside which was mindblowing. I highly reccomend this restaurant and feel it is on par wiht my previous fave- Jikos. The manager also told me they will be updating the restaurant inside the attraction as well if this menu goes over well!

Nothing was atrocious about the food, but the service was offensive. Our server stole $10 from our gift card because he wanted more of a tip. When confronted about the theft, the manager offered nothing more than an apology.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Typical Mexican cuisine and atmosphere. Cons: Nothing extraordinary. A deluge of mediocrity.
The children and I dined here not too long after opening. The food tasted fresh, but nothing was outstanding. Not one particular aspect was awful, but nothing was done well either. Skip this, unless you have a tequila need fulfilled while visiting Mickey.: Posted via eTicket

DW and I dined in Feb... Had the botana app and the Parrillada Del Mar for two and a couple of Margarhitas each. Botana was good, but totally unnecessary because the nachos and salsa were enough. Seafood was excellent... all three items (mahi mahi, scallops,& shrimp) were prepared to perfection... no salt, pepper, or salsa needed!!! Added ice cream & coffee for a perfect finish. We were seated almost immediately after arriving and service was very good... our only complaint was the red salsa was HOT, and the white was blah... the could use an in-between salsa with a moderate amount of heat. We ate too early for the show... should have had our ADR for about 8:00 for that. Back row of booths are elevated above the floor so would be a great location to view Illuminations if you can get in. All in all a very nice dinner and hands down over other Mexican style dinning we have encountered in Epcot. We will be back!

La Hacienda de San Angel has delicious food. This is not a Tex Mex restaurant - be prepared for some unique choices. Also the food here has a lot of flavor - the spices aren't mild.
The waiters bring fresh chips and salsa to the table. The chips are good. The salsas are spicy - the red one is spicier than the green one. We ordered the Botana appetizer. This was great. It features a chilorio (pork), chicken tostada and cheese empanada. For entrees, we had the tilapia (an amazing dish) and the skirt steak (excellent). We ended up skipping dessert because we were so full at the end of this meal. If you think you want dessert, don't get an appetizer. Servings are large and chips and salsa are complimentary.
We also ordered a tequila flight and margarita flight. Both are highly recommended as well.

Excellent service. Fantastic food. We had main meal platter for 2. Very tasty food and good portions. Excellent margaritas available. Could not be faulted.

DVC member, visited in August 2011. I had a steak which was just awful, but my wife had enchaladas which were pretty good, so stick to Mexican food. Nothing special, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

2 of us ate a 3 course fixed price meal. Very good, especially the tacos. Margaritas come from the tequila bar next door.

This was a last minute decision to eat here for dinner and we were able to obtain an ADR for the time we wanted just 24 hours in advance. We checked in 15 minutes early and were told to wait inside the lobby until we were called to be seated. We only had to wait about 10 minutes before we were seated at a table next to the window over looking seven seas lagoon. The decor is light and colorful and the space is open. Interestingly enough there are no issues with it being too loud.
Our waiter approached soon after we were seated and walked us through his favorites. My DH and I opted to order Margarita's. We selected the Raspberry Lime one. Our waiter returned with our drinks and chips and two types of salsa. One was a mild green tomatillo and the other was a spicy red ancho chili. The red salsa was not what you think of when you hear salsa and it was lightly spicy. The green tomatillo was light and refreshing with a slight kick. The chips were typical chips you would get in a Mexican restaurant. Our margaritas were simply put amazing. We have had our share of margaritas in our time, but this was by far in the top three that we have ever tasted. The perfect blend of Tequilla, raspberry and lime. It was very refreshing. Our waiter suggested that we order the La Hacienda Platter for two which included grilled steak, chicken and chorizo with black beans, rice, grilled corn, and grilled veggies including peppers, onions, squash. The platter also included small corn tortillas. When the platter arrived the plate was sizziling and the smells were unbelievable. As we dug in the steak was melt in your mouth delicious. The chicken was sweet and spicy and so tender. We made mini tacos with the meat, veggies and salsas. The roasted corn was slightly spicy and had some chili's visible in the mix. The two best things on the plate however were the corn tortillas which were soft and spongy and had a great corn flavor and the chorizo. These little sausages had such flavor that we were begging for more. We asked if they were made in house. Our waiter commented that they were ordered from a local company and that even he thought they tasted better than some he had eaten back in Mexico and even rivaled the sausage his Grandmother makes. Now that is saying something! The black beans and rice were the perfect accompaniment to the meal.
For dessert, my DH ordered the Chocolate mousse. A concoction of Mexican chocolate so smooth and creamy, he wanted to lick the bowl. I went outside the box and ordered the Corn Ice Cream. I was pleasantly surprised. The creamy and delectable treat was incredible. Sweet and savory due to the Himalayan sea salt and the caramel popcorn on top, I devoured the bowl with ease.
I have to say that we got more than we expected from our meal. We were expecting a typical Mexican restaurant meal, but were treated to one of the best meals we have ever eaten in WDW. The service, the food and the atmosphere were simply perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant to all who are looking for a good meal in Epcot. You will not be dissapointed!

This was the BEST gluten-free, soy-free meal of our trip in 2011. The chef and wait staff were so understanding and accommodating. Their soft taco shells are gluten-free and made in-house. The food was so fresh and flavorful that we'll totally be back in 2013.
