Positive aspects of the product (pros): fun ride motion, great queue line Cons: same film, may cause motion sickness
A fun ride, although the movie is getting old. Fortunately in 2010, the ride will be updated with a new movie. I don't recommend the ride to people with motion sickness because the motion simulator type of ride is pretty intense with lots of direction changes and quick movements. But for those who have never ridden, it's worth at least one ride.

I still love this ride! This was my first "thrill" ride, and it will always hold a place in my heart. Especially since I am a Star Wars nerd.
Years later, I have discovered that this thrill was more mild than wild, as I started riding coasters. I recommend this ride to families with small little dare devils in training that are looking for there first thrill ride!
I'll be sad when they refurbish it, but I'm looking forward to an update. That version has been running for 23 years now.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Star Wars theme, music Cons: Somewhat dated, some get motion sickness
Themeing is great if you like Star Wars, and the ride itself is a kick in the pants! However, of all the rides at DL, this and the Tea Cups (if you are spinning rapidly) are the most prone to get you sick (a small percentage of people though). If you have problems with motion sickness, I have been told by some that closing your eyes solves the problem.

Beware -- if you suffer from motion sickness, do not get on this ride. My husband and I did and if the ride had gone one more second we would have both thrown up! And there is no way to get off once they buckle you in. And closing your eyes does not help!
This is the only ride on DL that I cannot do.

This is one of my favorite rides, so sad to see it closed, but can't wait to experience the new version!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Classic star wars characters, ride is different every time! Cons:
We probably did this ride six times during our visit to DL last week. Each ride is unique as you journey through different scenes for each ride. Get to visit and interact with a lot of cool scenes in Star Wars history (although, you do need to just ignore the timeline issue as you cross the time frames of all six movies in the same ride).
I never got to do the original version, so I can't compare. None in our party has issues with nausea, and I tend to be more sensitive to that on rides myself. Maybe the new ride programming is smoother than before.
Over the course of our visit, we saw two openings, probably eight intermediate worlds, and three different endings. I'm not sure how many possibilities there are, but we got a good mix.
