This ride is so fun because the whole family can ride and enjoy it. It's zippy, but not extremely fast. With earthquakes, hanging opossums, a dynamite-chewing goat, and a dinosaur bone splashdown at the end, there's so much to look at during the ride. For an even better ride, ride the mountain at night. It feels much faster speeding through the mountain in the dark.

BTMRR is my absolute favorite ride in Disneyland! It's awesome late at night when the lines are short to non-existent and you can just keep getting back on the ride back-to-back. It's fast and it's great fun!

"Hang to those hats and glasses, for this here is the wildest ride in the wilderness!" A fun roller coaster ride on a runaway train. After Gagdet's Go Coaster, this is the next step up the ladder for the young coaster enthusiast. The wait times are generally not too bad (except on very crowded days) - use Fastpass if it's too long.

I love how this rides zips and turns. I always enjoy raising my arms and feeling the adrenaline rush through me. I even enjoy the scenery as I'm going through the line, it helps to not feel like I've been lining up a long time.
Last time I was here, my daughter was 7 months old. She stayed with my sister and was able to take a nap in her stroller around the waiting area while DH and I went on the ride. There are benches near this ride so if you have people in your party who can't go on or don't want to can wait for you.

Big Thunder is one of my favorite rides in the park! I love riding at night, the lighting and effects really make you feel like you're in an old mining town. Riding in the back really amplifies the excitement of the ride! You get whipped around the corners, and pulled down the hills at top speed. This is just a great ride!

One of our favorites. We combine FP with baby-swap pass so there's never a really long wait to ride. I prefer to ride at night, hubby during the day.
I rode it in 2008 with my then 7-year old nephew, and I couldn't imagine how he didn't fly out on some of those turns! My 3-year old is still too small - though she loves the bobsleds - so it is one ride that my husband and I always take turns to make sure we ride.
I am so bummed to see it will be closed for our May 2010 visit.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Cons: not for lightweight kids
A warning to parents -- your child may be tall enough to ride, but if he or she does not weight a lot, you will have to hold him down in the seat. The first time I took my daughter on, I was petrified the whole time that she was going to fly out.

This is a great ride. I prefer Space Mountain somewhat (this seems more jerky) but the theming is great and you never have to wait all that long.
