The unique Matterhorn is a must for any visitor. There are two tracks. Both are similar but the one on the Tomorrowland side has that famous "dip" that produces some airtime in the back bobsled. Overall, it's a really great attraction, and even better at night. Sometimes you might even get lucky and the two sides will race each other side by side.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great roller coaster through Matterhorn Mountain Cons: A bit rough for some
This ride is very unique - it shows its age yet still delivers thrills. Great themeing as you bobsled inside and outside the mountain (watch out for the Abominable Snowman!). There are two sides - in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. The Tomorrowland side is a bit faster and has a little more air time, while the Fantasyland side is a bit slower and longer. Thrillseekers generally choose the Tomorrowland side for "the drop" near the middle of the ride. Small children might be frightened by the Abominable Snowman (especially when he growls). Before and during the parade, the entire line is on the Tomorrowland side, but you can still go the Fantasyland side once you reach the station. This is an awesome ride at night! Great views of Disneyland, and the lighting effects are better as well.

This one is a Disneyland original and worth the wait. It's not as technologically advanced as most other coasters, but it does have some nice details. There are also several points when the 'bobsleds' go around the outside of the mountain, and the views of the park are breathtaking.

This ride has baby-swap - GREAT - but the cast members for this ride tend to be really strict about seeing the baby, pointing out husband in line, etc. Which is fine, but each trip I always find it interesting that we are always given an evil-eye when we ask for the rider-switch pass, and every other ride they are just passed out without even blinking an eye (I always have my baby in the stroller with me when I ask for them at the exit). The bad thing about the pass? You have to cut through the main line to get to the front - MANY evil looks from others in line.
The plus? Fun ride, unique, great views of Disneyland. When my daughter was 2-1/2, this was her first roller coaster ride EVER. She wanted to go on it, she was tall enough, so we let her. She didn't fuss at all on the ride - and actually, we felt the buckle system of her in front of either my husband or I, felt much safer than the bar that doesn't come down to her thighs given the size difference between her and my husband and I when we ride with her. She wasn't quite sure what happened when she got off - she looked like she had fun, but she said she didn't want to ride it again that day. She's looking at pictures prior to our May trip, and has told us already she wants to ride the "mountain roller coaster again".
Definitely a do-not-miss ride at DL.

It's a great rive but that it doesn't have fastpass the line can get out of hand and you can wait forever and they really need the fast for this ride. : Posted via eTicket

There is nothing particularly unique about this ride, but I love going at night (great views of the park) and the line moves fairly fast. The abomadable snowman theme kind of makes it a bit scary too. It's not the smoothest or fastest ride but it's a classic must do DL attraction.
