Positive aspects of the product (pros): ped walk to main blg and monorail,short walk to magic kingdom Cons: no fan in room
I am a dvc member,had our stay the end of oct,2 nites,a studio,12th floor on the outside of the C,facing the contemporary,room was pretty small didnt like having a sliding door for the bathroom not comfortable with that
it has room enough for 2 to stay, not big enough for more adults cause of size
I like the convenience of the monorail,we just like to ride it for fun,I will stay at okw because the points and size of room is bigger

Lovely resort, awesome views of Bay Lake! Top of the World Lounge is fantastic, offers awesome views of Cinderella's Castle and Space Mountain. Convenient to MK, less than a 10 minute walk. If you are going to any other park, I would suggest driving. Bus service was horrible. When the bus picks up at The Contemp, they then go to Poly and then to The Floridian....takes forever to get anywhere. AKV has much better bus service. However, everything else about the resort is really Awesome. Pool and slide is a blast. : Posted via eTicket

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Love it!! Best investment I have ever made for our famly! Fireworks are amazing. 15 min walk to MK! Cons: Counter service at contempory needs better and more selections. Would like a beverage station closer then the Cove bar or walking to the contempory. Cove bar is not open late so you have to go to the contempory for your free refills

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location, Transportation, Lounge Cons: All shops and such are in the Contemporary Main Building
This may not be the best resort, but for the frequent park goer, it more than makes up for it. You can easily walk to the Magic Kingdom. Want to get to Epcot? Take the monorail. The Animal Kingdom takes longest to get to, but really, that's a one day per trip kind of park. DVC members staying on points have got to visit the lounge! It presents a nice quiet atmosphere and a great view! The downside is that everything (shops, restaurants, arcade, monorail) is all in the Contemporary main building. So if you frequent those things, you'll do some walking, though admittedly it could be longer in other resorts.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location, awesome walking to the magic kingdom. View is awesome!!! Cons: Not super relaxing. The cast members are non existent except for DVC reps.
We loved the location.. Loved late night magic kingdom visits. Really did not feel the magic, and I am not sure why. All the cast members for the most part are available at the contemporary resort. I guess it felt kind of isolated from magic. Great room, clean, great pool: Posted via eTicket

Positive aspects of the product (pros): proximity to MK, large size of 2 bedroom suite (and having 3 full baths!) Cons: food/drink/game options are all in the Contemporary building
Beautiful room with nice big widows for lots of light. The only negative of the view is that we paid for a lake view and I felt like we had a view of the other rooms more so than the lake. We were on the inside of the "c" on the contemporary side towards the end of the hall (8241). I loved the high end feel of the resort.

Stayed in a studio, room 8018 and had a beautiful view of the Magic Kingdom. Easy to get to anywhere via monorail or bus. I didn't drive, but I feel it is easy to get to, if you can figure out how to get to the Magic Kingdom.

From August 2-14, 2011, my party of five stayed in a one-bedroom suite at BLT. In the party was myself, my wife, our one-year-old son, and my parents. The one-bedroom suite was perfect for our needs, with more than enough space for the five of us. The best part about this hotel is its location in regards to the Magic Kingdom; you just can't beat being able to walk there in 5-10 minutes. Our son loved MK, and due to BLT's proximity to the park, we were able to visit the park mutiple times a day, every day of the trip, with no hassle. Our only knock on the resort was the condition of the room (8121). We have stayed in every DVC resort and for being the newest addition, we disappointed to see severe wear and tear on several pieces of furniture and sections of carpet. Other than that, this place is a dream.

Stayed in a one bedroom villa, room 8421, overlooked the courtyard, pool, and straight out to Bay Lake.
I loved the space, the extra twin fold out bed, and the full size sofa bed were the most comfortable fold out beds I've slept in (granted I haven't slept in many).
We walked to the MK one day, and boy did it make for a pleasant walk back after fun in the park.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great location, lovely environment...but Cons: housekeeping needs a boost
We love being here and we love BLT, but the level of housekeeping and maintenance seems to have declined over the few years we've stayed here. The villa has heavy layers of dust on edges of flat surfaces, granite counters and other surfaces seem to be swiped with a cloth and cleaner and some need a bit more scrubbing. There are grimy handprints from a prior resident on the sliding door between the tub and master bedroom. We had ligts out, remotes and dvd that don't work, and the rugs in heavy traffic areas are grimy.
This home away from home is too new and too special to have this level of care...or not caring
. I have to say we had a quick response to our concerns about the DVD, remote and lights, which is encouraging. I don't want to be critical of the housekeeping staff, but perhaps there are not enough of them to do the kind of cleaning, I like to come home to.

This is our home resort. Stayed there September 13 - 21 for DH 60th. We had our kids and grandchildren with us. Booked a 2 bdrm dedicated LV and a studio for 7 of us. They were able to have the studio next to the 2 bdrm.
Rooms were wonderful, very comfortable beds. Loved having 3 bathrooms in the 2 bdrm when we were getting ready.
Walk to MK in 10 minutes. QS was very good. The Wave was so so.
Looking forward to our return next year.

Loved the resort, truly had the feeling of being in a deluxe resort, especially since it was connected to the Contemporary. Was perfect for our stay since this trip was centered on the Magic Kingdom, which was only a 10 minute walk away.
The downside was the poor bus service to the other parks. For a "deluxe resort" the bus service was below "value."

Positive aspects of the product (pros): EVERYTHING! Cons: NONE!
We were fortunate enough to stay at Bay Lake Tower for one night before we left for our cruise! It was gorgeous! So modern and new! Everything was up to Disney standards. I loved being so close to the Magic Kingdom, especially since we were unable to enter the park and only got one night on property. We were able to watch Wishes from the Top Of The World Club. It was breathtaking and so exciting to see the fireworks from a different view! The rooms were immaculate and the pool was perfection. I can not wait to travel back to the "World" to stay at this resort! It was the perfect beginning to the perfect vacation!

We are DVC members and this is one of our home resorts. We LOVE staying here. We have been in both a studio and a 1 BR. The studios are a bit small for 3 in my opinion, but are perfectly nice, very similar to a standard hotel room.
The 1 BR is fantastic. Love the garden tub in the master bath as well as the 2nd bath in the unit. Also it's very nice to be able to use the washer and dryer in the unit.
The walkway to the Contemporary is very windy, but it's a nice view.
All in all, this is our favorite place to stay. We have a 5 yr old and spend most of our time at Magic Kingdom, so it's great to be walking distance and have the monorail as an option as well.

This is one of our 2 DVC home resorts and we absolutely love it. We have stayed in a 1 bedroom magic kingdom view and now a 2 bedroom (dedicated) magic kingdom view. This 2 bedroom unit was lower to mid-level and at first I was bummed since everyone wants the upper views for a better angle at Magic Kingdom. We were, however, pleasantly surprised to find our room on the same level as the main walkway to the contemporary which meant that our elevator time was almost none! It was such a nice benefit since we were there for 5 nights. The views were still pretty nice from this floor, although they are a bit better from higher up from my past stays here.
Check-in was very easy since we had done web check-in prior to arriving. The room was clean although there was clearly wear on the furniture and other items like a large dent in the fridge. I think they went a little cheap on the furniture and it’s just not holding up to the constant wear. The only other really minor issue I can recall was that the balcony did not drain the water off well and left puddles….which did not feel great when you forgot they were there in the dark when watching fireworks (wishes and hallowishes).
We really like the master bathroom and had no problems with the shower or Jacuzzi (clean it first with chlorine). The rooms were cleaned well and overall very nice to stay in. The views from the bedrooms were awesome as well – who wouldn’t love going to bed with the Cinderella’s castle or space mounting right outside your window!
We also used the pool and hot tub much more this trip then our first one here. The facilities are nice although we found there were times when the pool can get pretty crowded. We did not really use the other courts and amenities while staying here. You need to use the contemporary’s stores and food areas for quick things, but that is very close and easy. We really love dining at the monorail resorts and staying at BLT makes getting there a breeze.
This is one of our favorite places and will definitely be back for our next trip!

Rooms are nice. We were lucky and had a room close to the walkway, so the walk to the Contemporary was not bad. However, I can see it being an issue if we had been on the other end of the resort.
We had a pool view room. We were bothered late into the night by both firework noise and pool noise.
There are no sheers on the windows and when you are on the monorail or walking by, you can see how easily folks can see into your room. Your only options are no privacy or blackout curtains closed.
Bus service is very poor to every location.
I would recommend the resort if you will be spending your time at MK or Epcot.
