I have done the Imagineer Lunch at the Brown Derby twice and I compeletly enjoyed both experiences. I had a different Imagineer for each lunch and both were great. Very interesting and acoomodating. They shared wonderful stories and told about their jobs and themselves, how they came to Disney, what they do for Disney, ect...You get a souvenir plate at the end of your meal and the Imagineer signs it. The group is small, just 10 people, so everyone has time to talk and ask questions. Of course the food is wonderful. Can't go wrong with anything at the Brown Derby. This lunch is worth every penny and I highly recommend it to anyone.

We did the lunch two years ago, and loved it. The only downside is that they give you TOO much food.
If you are into the backstage experience this is a must do. Our imagineer spent almost three hours with our group and he was fantastic.

The Dine with Imagineer experience begins with check in at the Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant in Disney's Hollywood Studios. You are presented with a custom engraved cast-member style nametag. Once your entire group is present, you will be escorted to a private dining room where the experience begins. This group is limited to 10 people due to the size of the private dining room.
Upon being seated, you are presented with a personalized menu showing your choices for the Four-course meal. I found the menu limited due to my personal tastes. However the food was plentiful in portions provided. I was there more for the experience of talking with the Imagineer than I was for the food, so don't let the limited menu discourage you from do this at least once. I would have paid the price of this event, even if the food wasn't provided.
The highlight of the experience was talking with our Imagineer. He was the lead Queue Designer for all the parks. He told us how he had got his start at WDW when Epcot was under construction and he was hired as a Temporary sign painter in the Land Pavillion. This temporary job led to him being hired full time as a Sign Painter.
Some of the queue he had designed was the original set-up at Typhoon Lagoon, Nemo & Friends in Epcot and he was currently overseeing the completion of the New American Idol Experience Pavillion. We were able to ask any questions about what his job encompassed, working for WDW.
Upon leaving you are presented with a commemorative "Dine with an Imagineer" glass plate that is signed by your Imagineer.
It was a great experience and I would definitely do this again sometime in the future.

i wanted to do this on my honeymoon and regret not doing it, i have heard its an awesome experience for disney lovers

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good Food Cons: Imagineer was not a good rep for Disney
If I thought our imagineer was the only one who did this I would give the experience a 2, but based on other reviews we must have gotten the only bad one. He described his job as answering 100 emails a day, said he never wanted to work for Disney and wouldn't describe himself as a fan. He also let another guest completely manipulate the conversation and lead it away from Disney (despite other guest's efforts to lead it back). The food was great, and the plate you get is a really nice souveigner.
I indicated that I would recommend this because the imagineer said he only does this every 6 weeks to 2 months.
