A average fan of star wars I was excited to try this ride with my family. Tween loved it. the rest of us came out a little green. A large screen in front, you are buckled in seats theatre style in seats that bump and move along to film.

The Star Wars themeing of this attraction has always been a draw for me. From the Ewok village outside to C-3PO and R2-D2 inside, there is plenty for a Star Wars nut to salivate over. However, despite constant rumors of an upcoming update, the ride remains relatively unchanged since its opening in 1989. With that, Star Tours is still worth a ride, but only with a short wait.

The queue and facade are a star wars lovers dream! The ride itself is fun, but a little dated and in need of an updated. Old simulator technology that needs to be brought up to todays standards.

only rated as high as it is because of the great queue. The ride itself boderline stinks. The phantom menace is now 10 years old and is still too "new" for the ride. Can't understand why with all the star wars weekends etc. that more money hasn't been invested into this franchise.

Once you walk up the this sire, your caught by the scale of the theming outside. It realy is grand.
Once inside, your stepping back in time to an old motion effects ride similar to what has become common in malls and state fairs these days. These types of rides can cause nausea and aren't pleasant. For me, it is a one time is enough ride.

I still recommend this, especially for Star Wars fans - take time to go through the queue slowly if you can; lots of neat stuff there. That said, even I'm starting to find the motion uncomfortably jerky and hard on my back (and I wasn't even alive when the first Star Wars movie came out, so it can't all be due to me being older..). The ride is also horribly out of date, even with respect to its own franchise. Still a fun if aspirin-worthy experience.

This was a great attraction 20 years ago but it's just not cutting it anymore. This is such basic entertainment that you can find more up to date rides like this at a large shopping mall.
I hear a revamp is in the works, let's hope it brings it back to it's former glory.

I'm a fan of thrill rides, but I found Star Tours to be more jerky and uncomfortable than exciting. It wasn't bad when it first opened, but now the ride feels like an antique (and not the charming kind!). I definitely wouldn't recommend it for anyone who gets motion sick.

Fun to see. Ride technology is old and shows. The best seats are in the middle so you look straight ahead and get the best effects of motion sensation. Given age of the film the attraction is based on, may be time to update

Although dated this attraction never gets old. The attraction utilizes flight simulators that really give you the sensation of flying through space. Highly reccomend. Do not pass this one by one of the best attractions on property.

If you have a tendency towards motion sickness, pass this one up. If you're a fan of star wars stuff, you should definitely do this one.

This is a nicely themed attraction. However after riding this for the first time, you just can't help but feel like the technology is aging and needs updating.
Still its worth a visit, just not as thrilling as it could be while still keeping it family friendly.

This might be biased since I am a huge Star Wars geek, but I think this ride is cool. I love the pre-ride cabin video and its 80's fashions (unless they have changed that- haven't been on it in a while). The queue is great with little Star Wars jokes and great detailing. To me, the actual ride is minimal. I love the entire experience.

This ride made me (mom 42) queasy. Everyone else in the family had no problem (7, 10, 12, 44). It bumps around and you watch a screen. It's pretty dated. I wouldn't ride this one again.

In desperate need of a re-do. The 3D isn't the best, the movements are jarring and the preshow is a bit TOO 80s kitch. And the arm rests are actually painful. The que is the best part of the attraction. I try to skip it.

The theming outside the ride and through the queue is great. My teenagers really enjoy this ride. The seats in the back probably have greater motion and jerkiness.

This motion simulator can be a little jarring - and if you don't care for Star Wars, then you probably won't get too into this. A new film is rumored to be coming to this attraction, which should help with its age.

This ride provides many memories from when I was growing up. Not quite a Disney classic, but it is a staple for Disney's Hollywood Studios and provides an essential anchor for Star Wars weekends. An update is due though as this attraction is showing it's age and the technology used for the simulation could use some updating to bring it into the 21st century. The queue is still great and highly themed.

As a big Star Wars fan I absolutely adore this ride. Some people have mentioned their problems with motion sickness on it, but I find it the mildest of the thrill rides that I will ride (I'm too scared to try rollercoasters that turn you upside down - Space Mountain is pretty scary to me and Tower of Terror is the absolute limit of my thrill ride capacity). I feel it's less "herky jerky" than, say, Dinosaur.

The story is cute and lots to see in queue. If you're a mondo fan of SW, read up on the inside jokes...lots of them here. For example, Egroeg Sacul is paged - it's George Lucas backwards.
Seemed dated and in need of a refurb, esp. being Star Wars. I felt a bit woozy from the ride.

When it originally opened at Disneyland in 1987, Star Tours was a groundbreaking motion simulator. The same version more than 20 years later feels dated and needs an update.
I'd still recommend it assuming the lines aren't longer than 20 minutes. There are still enough subtle touches and attractive theming to bring a mild recommendation. But I'd warn riders prone to motion sickness that it's a jerky experience.
