This ride is phenomenal. We were on the first row, so when we went up we were at the top. I hear that if you are not in the first row, it can ruin the mood because you can see the peoples feet hanging down. The motion really makes you feel like you are outside, and the scent that they spray when you fly over the orange fields and forest really adds another dimension to the ride. Get fastpasses because there is a long line.

Nothing better than hang gliding around California! Try to get a row 1 seat (that will put you on the top) so you don't have to see other people's feet. Middle section is best. Once you get inside the building, there are some interesting things to look at.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Awesome! The music, the thrill, everything! Cons: Bad for people who get sick on simulators
This is quite possibly the most innovative ride I've ever been on. It's also appropriate for most kids because it's exhilarating without ever going anywhere. The soundtrack, the smells, the sights, and even the line are fabulous.
I prefer this to WDW's version simply because it's more appropriate - it's in a themed area that has to do with aviation, the line is full of the history of flight, and it's actually in ... wait for it... California!
Try to get a spot in the front row so you don't have to look at anyone else's feet dangling in front of you. Other than that, just enjoy! It's amazing!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Definately the best ride at DCA Cons: Very long lines!
This is by far the best attraction at DCA and one of the best in all of DLR. The innovation and attention to detail are amazing. You can ride this attraction over and over and still feel the exhiliration every time. It's perfect for young and old alike. I believe it captures the essence of California and it's placed perfectly in an aviation themed area. Pay attention to the walls in the line and you just might learn something!: Posted via eTicket

We rarely ride Soarin' at WDW due to the ridiculous wait times. Fortunately wait times at DCA seem to be much more reasonable for the attraction. A fun and unique ride, well worth a 20-30 minute wait.
