Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fun theming, and "surprises" Cons: VERY scary for young kids
As an adult I LOVE this show, GREAT 3-D with some 4-D experiences thrown in to surprise you, it truly is a lot of fun from beginning to end.
That being said, as a parent of young kids when my daughter was 2 years old we made the mistake of taking her and when the room filled with smoke she literally thought she was going to die, I felt like the worst mother EVER. . .so, if you have young kids, even if you think they can handle it, reconsider. My son who is 8 thinks it is a great show, but I wouldn't take kids 5 and under, and maybe older depending on the kids, it does get intense at times.
Overall it is a great show, extremely entertaining and fun!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Cute Queue Line Music, Good 3D Effects Cons: Bugs!!
This is not a favorite attraction of mine. I am very creeped out by insects and bugs and when they are bigger than me, it bothers me a lot!! The 3D effects are very cute, especially all the butterflies at the beginning, which I admit is the only insect I actually like.
The one part of this show that totally freaks me out is when the "bug spray" fills the theater. It gives me a horrible claustrophic, unable to breath feeling, probably much like a poor bug feels when we zap them with some Raid, which is the point, I guess?? Between that and the "effects" that poke and prod you on the bench, I'd much rather just skip this whole attraction.
This show often upsets and frightens young children who find it extremely scary, especially that mean old Hopper!

This is a really fun show, but too scary for young kids. The line is well designed and the theater is very cool. The show itself is excellent.

I believe one of the best 3D films on property. It makes use of so many elements! Don't forget the stink bug and to watch out for the bugs and insects before you leave!

This attraction is very well themed. I like reading the posters in the waiting area and the seating area is well themed. Some of the parts give me cold chills - you kinda have to like bugs but overall it's a cute attraction. Maybe a little intense in parts for some kids.

This show is remarkably well done but is probably geared for a specific audience - and I now know I am not one of them! Can't help but imagine the little creepies running all over me.
This show can be very very scary for little ones - I always see the young one in hysterics and it is heartbreaking. If you suspect your child will react adversely, please consider riding another time. It will cause nightmares for young and old alike.
The special effects are well done and unexpected - would recommend only if you enjoy such experiences

I have always liked this show. The 3D is very good. The only thing is that it can be very scary at points in it, and I've heard little kids start crying. It can also be a bit loud. The show is a bit geared toward scary, but it is very entertaining.

We like this movie. And the walkway queue under the Tree of Life makes it really beautiful while getting there. The theming of the theater is fun, and the bugs do get their point across.
Some small kids get scared and start crying, so make sure your child can handle the bugs before going in there.
It's really funny, not scary, though, and our DD has loved it ever since she was 2 1/2 years old.

Not a whole lot to say except it's clearly what a current 4-D movie should be. You get a little more than the squirt in the face with water on this one (don't worry, you still get that.)
Favorite part, when the bugs leave before us.

We really like this show. The location and theming is surpurb. An excellent 3-D show that combines a movie with awesome audioanimatronics (Hopper). Cool special effects as well. A don't miss!

As 3D movies go, this is my least favorite. There seems to be more of a "lets see what we can do to the guests" kind of attitude rather than "lets see how we can entertain the guests".

It's Tough To Be A Bug is probably the best 4D show in all of W.D.W. in terms of technology. The queue is really cool because you get an up-close look at all of the carvings at the base of the Tree of Life.
The show is very entertaining and the 4D stuff will have you screaming!
If you haven't been to this attraction, it's worth a visit.

Another great example of imagineering at its best. This is an extremely clever, fun and impressive "4-D" experience. If you are a fan of theater, don't miss the great show posters in the waiting area. Wonderful theming on this entire attraction.

The show is really cute for school aged kids.
This was by far the scariest attraction my 4yo saw/went on and she went on Everest and the Haunted Mansion. If your child is under 7 I would seriously consider skipping it. There must have been at least a dozen fathers walking out with crying toddlers when we went.

A well themed attraction. 3-D and other effects are good. I just don't like being poked in the back or feeling things crawling on my seat! Be ready to plug your nose and shield your face at certain points.

My vote for the best 3D attraction at WDW right now. It's fast-paced, keeps your attention, and outdoes itself all the way through till the end. Won't give away anything here, but just know that it is truly a multisensorial experience full of unexpected surprises!!

Very cute show, though I could do without the smells. The only uncomfortable time is the use of spiders. For those of us who are a bit fearful of spiders, it gives a very uneasy feeling. But the rest of the effects are very entertaining.

I love this show! I love that it talks about how hard it is for bugs to survive. Also, the whole show is just fun. Even waiting to get in is fun, it looks as if you are underground as a bug. Very cute! Small children might get a little scared, spiders come out of the ceiling, buts it is not very bad beside that. Also, make sure to lean back ALL the way in your seat, it is more fun this way.

It uses all the 3D and seat-based effects. The path to the attraction winds amongst the Tree of Life, but most people are rushing to get to the attraction without enjoying the scenery.

I just love this 3D show! I like the neat seat effects they use, plus the humorous story line of the show. As an adult, it's lots of fun for me.
That being said, this attraction really scares lots of kids as the bugs can be intense, the theater goes really dark, etc. Also, I would not recommend it for any bug-phobic adults either.

We never miss this show..we love it, and we never fail to laugh about the bugs at the end. Do not take little ones in here...it is too intense and if a child has an imagination, they never forget about it.

I haven't seen this in awhile, so I can't say how the 3D effects are holding up. I'm sure they don't compare to what is in theaters now. However, the theater is very nicely themed and the story is quite cute. Love all those funny Bugs. It really isn't a good show for the little kids, though. Stay seated until you are told to exit so you can experience the surprise at the end.

The best part of this show is a) the impressive animatronic grasshopper and b) the proximity to the Tree of Life - and its wonderful carvings. If your wife or partner does not like, they will not like you for taking them to this.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): the theater plays into the theme of being under the Tree of Life Cons: stinkbug and spiders, scares kids
This could be a cute show but the part with the stinkbug releasing a foul odor in the theater doesn't help matters.
The Black Widow spiders falling from the ceiling really freaked me out
