My two daughters spent most of this meal feeding it to the ducks wandering around the eating area. My food was overcooked and mushy, DH said his was just okay. We'll make an ADR and go inside next time.

The service here was pretty good. The presentation in the Chinese containers was cute, but in practice, eating out of them was not fun, as the food is all in there together. The outdoor seating was a big downer as well, and you don't see that there is no covered seating until you see it hidden in the back.
I was also expecting a freshly made dessert instead of something prepackaged.

This restaurant should be renamed "The Hottest Restaurant in WDW". There are very, very few shady tables here. Be prepared to have your party split up in order to hunt for one, and then protect your newly claimed territory.
The food here is worse than the Chinese food that you would find in your local mall. It is far greasier, which is only augmented by the fact that you are eating it with the sun beating down on you.
My husband had some kind of chicken dish. All I remember was that it came with sushi rice, which clearly did not go, and that he was not happy.
The eggrolls were fair. Those were more of your classic mall eggrolls. They were by no means good, but if you're hungry, they'll do.
I had some sort of Asian chicken salad. The chicken was dry and inedible, even with dressing it was hard to get down. It was not much of a "salad". One of those things where they put a lot of lettuce in a bowl and call it a salad. Yuck.
I know your options are severely limited in Animal Kingdom, but if you have somewhere else to eat, I would say, try that.

I expected more from this location since we liked the table service portion of the Yak & Yeti so well. I was disappointed with the shrimp entree. My daughter really liked the chicken and I wish I would have gotten that myself. The seating area behind this restaurant is all in the open and not large enough in my opinion.

We dined here for the first time last April...and yes it was HOT at AK as usual. we also dined during prime lunch time.
so it was crowded, we were hungry and HOT....
we first went to comender our seating and I was ready to call it a bust and find somewhere else because it was too crowded and at first the only tables large enough to accomadate 7 plus 1 in a stroller was right in the sun, but then my DH found 2 tables sorta in the shade. so we went w/ it.
and I'm very glad!
We all really liked it!
I thought the food containers and presentation was great for an outdoor take-out. As a mother of 4 and usually eating my food last after helping them, I was very surprised that my food was still plenty hot and tasty all the way to the bottom of my box. Not mushy at all and the rice was not dry or super sticky...ust right! We enjoyed everything from the basic chicken nugget and the sweat and sour pork and eggrolls to the mango dessert.
It seems this place gets a bad rap, but I would certaintly dine here agian. The food was very good and once you take in the details of the outdoor seating area it is nice, w/ the fountian and not to mention a restroom right there too.
Yes there was the duck issue, but it was no worse than anywhere else.
Try it once I say!

I went to This counter service to try something different and boy was it different. I had the sweet & sour chicken and I would rather go to any New York style chinese restaurant and have it then ever eat that again. My partner had pork and again same response. Go to Flame Tree BBQ instead!

after paying for the meal, it took 10 minutes to get it. Food was not good, very bland. Staff were not very friendly.

The counter service branch of Yak & Yeti is pure awful. I've eaten here twice, on two separate trips to the world, and both times the food was horrendous.
You're very limited when eating in Animal Kingdom, and its as if Disney knows this so they're trying to make you suffer. The tables are outside and the majority have no shade or umbrellas, despite the beating Florida sun at lunchtime.
I've had the Asian chicken salad (flavorless and bland) and the shrimp lo mein. The lo mein was dripping in grease, more so than even mall food court Chinese food. It's the kind of meal that will make your stomach hurt the rest of the day.
My husband and I were on the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) so we got dessert which we would normally never try in a place like this. The chocolate cake was edible, but Little Debbie does a better job. It's a rare dessert that looks better than it tastes. The frozen lemonade was pre-packaged, and was refreshing if not entirely necessary.
On my next trip to the world, I'm going to try Flame Tree Barbecue. It smelled delicious when we walked by and may be worth a little extra walking for a decent meal.

For us it was a perfect day in April to be sitting under a tree. We had the fried rice,chicken,pork & shrimp. My kids loved all of it. The portions were large enough to share with some left over to feed the birds. We found our table first, which was good because it was a long wait. I wouldn't eat here on a hot day, but we enjoyed it.

Great food for a quick service, you get a large Chinese takeout container full of your meal and rice. The egg rolls are really good to. Only down side is there is no covered seating, seating is behind the restaurant in a courtyard area outside which can be a little warm in the summer months with no shade.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Themeing Cons: Food was awful
In my case, it was the worse theme park food I've ever had; and I'm not a picky eatter. Got the orange chicken/broccli/steamed rice. The over-breaded chicken seemed to be soaked in water (very bland), the broccli had no taste at all, and the rice was pastey/sticky/bland. Took it back to my hotel room as carry-out, so I was stuck with it. Had to throw most of it away. A total waste of my $$.

This is our go-to location for quick service in the AK. The honey chicken tastes great, is a very large portion, is always piping hot, and the egg rolls are pretty good, too. A bit pricy for take-out Chinese, but what isn't at WDW? For the price it is a great value.

This is basic chinese takeout. Nothing special at all. But I did not think the food was bad, and the portions were very big, easily shareable. One tip, you can bring food into the flights of wonder show, just a short walk away. So pick up your meal, and enjoy it while watching the show to save time. This worked out great for us.

The food is great and two people can easily share a meal. The line gets really long...and the seating is limited and crowded.
