The room was great, the resort is wonderful and the pool is incredible. The only downside on our stay was the horrible concierge lounge. The staff was rude and the lounge was unkempt and poorly stocked and refilled.

We've enjoyed our 4 stays at the Yacht Club.
The resort is beautiful, with a nice, welcoming lobby, great views of the lagoon and the Boardwalk, and nicely decorated rooms.
The best thing about the YC is the pools -- Stormalong Bay. My family really enjoys the pools -- from the waterslides to the bubbly area to the whirlpool it is just fun, fun, fun. There is also a huge, sandy play area. The nautical theming of the resort is continued by the pools.
There are many restaurants here, both at the YC & the BC. Plus, it's a short walk to the Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin, and the World Showcase at Epcot for more dining options.
We like to walk around WS at night, watch Illumination, then slip out the back entrance -- we can be in our room before most people even get to the front of the park to get in line for the busses & monorails.
We've stayed club level here twice, and I have to agree with the previous reviewer -- it's not the best WDW has to offer. Now, we choose to stay here in a regular room. One other con is that there really isn't a good 24hr CS place here -- so if you get hungry it can be inconvenient to find a quick bite to eat. Otherwise, we really like the YC, and will stay there again.

Location and the pool are the big draw here. Rooms are way to small for the price you are paying. Service was slightly appove average.
Gift shop has very few offerings.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Location, friendly staff, decor, pool! Cons: Not a lot of variety at the Concierge Lounge
My family and I loved our 11 day stay at Yacht Club! We found the hotel very child friendly and relaxing. Stormalong Bay, is spectacular. The proximity to Epcot and DHS cannot be beat.

We have stayed here 3 times, both garden view and water view and all the rooms have been very clean, staff is great and the quiet pool is hardly ever used.
The restaurants are eh not the greatest but the location is fantastic

The Yacht Club is a very nice resort. The pool alone is worth staying here, even if the hotel is crappy
(which it's not). The location is unbeatable, and the atmosphere is great. But I'd prefer the Beach Club. The Beach Club is more kid friendly and looks nicer. The lobby at the YC is too dark, while the BC lobby is nice and bright. The BC has a nice blue color, while the YC has a dull gray color. But this still is a great resort. If you had the choice between the Yacht or Beach Club, pick the Beach Club.

We had a wonderful stay at the Yacht Club during Christmas of 2010. It is a crazy time of year at WDW, but we never felt like the staff felt overwhelmed. We hardly had to wait for assistance at the counters, we checked in within a few minutes, and we never had to wait for a bus. When we did get on a bus, we never had to stand. There were always 3 or 4 staff members waiting right in the entrance to help with any questions you might have. The pool was beautiful, but we never had the chance to use it. There was a high of 28 degrees the few days we were there, so it never opened. I am still bummed about that. We also ate breakfast at the main restaraunt, and we were very pleased with the buffet. Every staff person throughout the hotel was very friendly. I would definately recommend it to others and stay there again. I also liked how you could walk to the back entrance of Epcot.
