Description: If you are looking for an affordable resort option that allows you to take advantage of the onsite resort perks, Disney's All Star Resorts are the place for you! At the All Star Sports Resort, bigger is better. You'll find bright, bold and colorful pop art icons such as a 4-story football helmet, giant tennis ball can and megaphone-shaped stairwells.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): price, magic Cons:
This resort is alot of fun. We especially enjoyed it when the kids were smaller. I found that the magic never seems to end at the All Stars, and having sons, they loved the sports theme.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Price, good bus service, convenient parking Cons: The room was small and run-down (cracks in the tile, permantly streaky mirrors)
I'd highly recommend saving up for a few more months and staying at a moderate resort, instead.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Inexpensive during value season, theming Cons: Noisy, attracts large tour groups
We did not like this resort. Our room was in need of serious repair. I would compare our room to a low budget motel (like a Super 8).
The throngs of teenagers hanging out on the large football field every night unsupervised was also a large turnoff for me as well. I did not feel like I was on vacation I felt like I was on a college campus.
The theming is nice but that's really about it. Luckily our room faced the back parking lot so it was quiet. We did not use the pool so I can not comment on that. We only spent 2 nights there and then moved on to the Dolphin (thank goodness).

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Price and location Cons:
My favorite of the All Stars, based mainly on location. First to drop off, first to pick up for the buses. I love the design of all the All Stars and the price can't be beat.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Easy access to facilities, nice theming Cons: Cheerleader competition in town!
First off, we are DVC members. We get access to "deluxe accomodations" and we would still stay here for extra days or if we were out of points.
Value resors are like the Motel of Disney. But it's STILL as done by Disney. We found easy access to the food, gift shops and busses. Grounds had nice theming, was clean. The only real complaint was that due to it being one of the "cheaper" resorts, there was a cheerleader competition in town, and they would practice every morning, quite loudly.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Affordable, Family Friendly Atmosphere, Refurbished Rooms Cons: Small Rooms, Crowded Food Court
If you are looking for an affordable place to stay, All Star Sports is a great option. This is a good place for families or those looking for an extremely budget friendly vacation on property. Since we do not have children, we will probably not stay here again in the near future. We enjoy a more subtle and relaxing atmosphere. No complaints about the staff, buses, etc. All in all a great resort, but not for everyone.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Theming and convenience Cons: Tendency to be overwhelmed by groups
This is a wonderful, Disney-fied hotel. My family is an either-or kind of group - we don't want the Moderate, just give us Value or Delux. But when we have kids with us, this place is perfect. The theming is wonderful, the main building is very conveniently placed, and it is wonderful (noise level excluded) to be able to look out of the room and see our teenager in the pool instead of treking across the grounds to check on him. The fact that it is so much smaller than the moderates is a plus. The only time it is unbearable is when there is a cheerleading competition at the WWoS. Then the place is packed with them.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fun, Clean, easier access to food court and buses Cons: Not luxurious, but you should be at the parks anyway
We started out staying at All Star Sports and planned on working our way up to better resorts. We have stayed at some moderates and PoP Century, but keep coming back to All Star Sports. The main reason is the price, but we always feel comfortable there. It is so much more relaxing than Pop Century. The rooms are closer to the main building, saving walk time and effort. I heard it can be crazy there during Spring break, but we know it is peaceful in Sept. Our room has also always been clean and in good shape.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): price, great for kids, nice for an economy hotel Cons: very big! Long walk to bus stop
I rated this an 8 based on an economy hotel. There are lots of kids here, kid groups, so if you don't like kids, this isn't the place for you.
I like this hotel much better than Pop Century. I think that these All Stars are constructed better.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): price, recently refurbed rooms Cons: smaller food court then Movies or Pop
After the recent refurbishments of the rooms at the Sports, this is a great hotel to stay in. Love the theming and the pools. Wish they would change the pictures in the lobby that were taken in the early 90's but otherwise, it's a great place to stay for the price.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): room rate, food court Cons: hectic
Upbeat atmosphere, larger than live icons, large resort. We found one bus stop to be a plus over multiple stops at some other resorts.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): great price, very clean, huge pool, great staff Cons: some noise at night
We can't wait to go back to Disney in March 2010!! We stayed at the All Star Sports last March during Spring Break, and had a great time.
For the price and what we wanted from Disney - this hotel was perfect. Clean, very affordable, and minutes aways from all the parks with the benefit of Disney transportation.
We were up and out of our room by about 9am every day and basically were in the parks all day long. So we really didn't care what size the room was.
We did come back and use the pool several days, which was always clean and never too crowded. We were even there during Spring Break and it was 80 degrees outside!
When we first booked the trip, we requested a room further away from the courtyard for quiet, but asked at check-in if we could be closer and they switched our room immediately. We stayed in the football building right smack in front of the courtyard. Kids and people hang out there pretty much all hours, but the staff made sure to keep them quiet or move them along at night. We were never kept awake by the noise...
The other request we made was for a fridge. They had it at our room within 10 minutes. Another nice plus was we used Magical express and our luggage arrived at our room within 15 minutes of getting there.
We also loved the fact that the Sports is the first stop with the busses, so its first to pick up and first to drop off.
All in all, we were extremely pleased and will go back and back.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A lot of room for running around Cons: A hot spot for groups to stay
My family and I have stayed here many times. We love getting out and running around and this is one of the best resorts for that with it's AstroTurf football field. We love racing, throwing the frisbee, and playing catch here: Posted via eTicket

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Clean, bright, fun, full of life Cons: Smaller room
I was pleasantly surprised by this resort. I have stayed at ASM a few years ago and had somewhat low expectations. My husband and I are DVC members, so generally we are staying at deluxe resorts. Wilderness Lodge is still our favorite. We have stayed at WL, VWL, BLT, OKW, SSR, AKL Pop and movies. I must say Sports surprised us the resort was full of life all the time. It had a happy atmosphere. The food court was great, and the bus transportation was not bad. We stayed over the Christmas holiday so it was busy but we loved it. We moved to AKL and to be honest we were disappointed leaving Sports, and not that impressed with AKL. We traveled with family, and they agreed they preferred All Star Sports over AKL.. : Posted via eTicket
