I don't care for the fact that you are charged a mandatory tip for eating in Pepper Market. You are seated and given silverware and they are supposed to refill your drinks but that never happened for us. Also don't like that the food court is not closer to the main pool.

The Pepper Market may be my favorite food court/quick service eatery in all of WDW. The resort is very spread out and confusing, however. And I've heard and seen a number of the conventioneers acting in a rather non-Disney manner. They are not there for Disney, and seem to want to let everyone know it...

We love this resort and have stayed here many times. We find the bus service good, especially from bus stop number 2, which is the first stop on the route. The landscaping of the hotel is beautiful and the pools are good.

Some have compared this resort to a scaled back quasi-Deluxe resort.....that's really not the case, it is a true moderate, don't let anyone kid you that its 'a deluxe for mod prices'.
The pool is overall great, with theming and slide. However, get their early to pickup a life vest if you need one for your child-- they go fast.
Pepper Market and Cafe Rix are overpriced and in my opinion the food is so-so. I didn't think it was that great. Yes there are options for different tastes, but in my opnion no better than any of the other resort grab-and-go places. Plus the servers there weren't real helpful, other than drinks being filled, they weren't all that helpful. The Pepper Market seems dingy and dusty too.
The grounds are manicured nicely, but the property is expansive. Depending on what building you are in to what other building you are going to, your walk might be just long enough to annoy you.
The fitness center is 'adequate', but don't let anyone convince you that its anything like a spa. Its just adequate for your basic daily exercise needs.
Lastly, some have stated that they are put-off by the business travelers that frequent the hotel. They really didn't bother me. Yea you noticed them, but I mean the theming of this hotel isn't really great to begin with, so there is no 'magic' to speak of that the business travelers detract from.
Would I stay there again - no.

We stayed here in January of 2009 in Building 9B. They had just renovated the rooms and they were beautiful! The location was between two bus stops and the walk was not long to either. The food court is OUTSTANDING!!! The pool is amazing and there are lots of chairs. I'd definitely stay here again.

Pros: the theme at the pool rivaled the deluxe pool themes.
The pepper market was unique and kind of cool for the counter service option
Cons: The layout was confusing and the walk from the ranchos section to the dining options was very long.
dining was more expensive than it should have been.
too many conventioneers walking around...or stumbling around drunk at night.
Overall, this was the least favorite hotel I've stayed in at WDW (out of BC, WL, CB, POR and CS).

My fiance and I stayed here for 4 nights Sept. 2008. It was our first trip to WDW, and we both loved it! It's very quiet and absolutely beautiful. From pictures I had seen online, I thought the theming might be kind of hokey, but it wasn't at all. You really feel like you're away from everything and can truly relax. The one big downside is that the resort is HUGE, so unless you have a car, be ready for lots of walking! This really does feel more like an 'adult' resort, and not as family friendly as POR did. Our room was quite comfortable and the 'mousekeeping' did a great job. I would definitely stay here again.

My sister and I stayed here in May 2008 only because it was the moderate discount hotel for the Minnie Marathon weekend. I had heard many bad things about the hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised.
We really enjoyed walking around the grounds and thought the pool was great. Bus service from the main stop to all the parks was also great.
The hotel is very large and if a long walk to your room would bother you, this is probably not the best choice.

My family has stayed at Coronado Springs the past three years due to a convention I was attending at the resort. We really love this resort and our pre-teen boys really love the Pepper Market- as do we. Everyone can visit the different food areas and get whatever they want. We really love this aspect of the resort. The addition of the Rix Cafe' is another great option for quick dining if you don't want to take the time to go to the Pepper Market. The May Grill is overpriced and we don't usually eat there, expect for one breakfast each trip as they have a great breakfast buffet- but you spend a lot more there than you would at Cafe' Rix or Pepper Market.

Having stayed at CSR 4 times we still really like it!
The new room decor and the queen beds have just made it even better. The sliding doors that have repaced the vanity curtain are great
The only slight down side it the Pepper market - it used to be more unique and different foods (for a counter service) and lots of choices both of which have been reduced in number. The portions have got smaller too.
The main pool area is nice and large so never feels busy as well as the 3 quiet pools.
Bus service is nice as there are only 4 internal stops and it doesn't share with another resort The stops are nearly always close to the park entrances too!
Being a convention hotel means we get better aminities but we don't have to deal with the crowded buses and pools because those guests have to spend their times in meetings! lol!
Would we stay here again - YES
Would I recommend this hotel to a friend - YES (and I have done more than once!)

My family and I have stayed here 3 times, the kids loved the Mayan themed pool and could have spent the day going down the slide! Also have option to go to quieter smaller pools in area.
The setting of resort is very tranquil and quiet, nice break from the running around in the parks. Outstanding sunsets!
My family loves Pepper Market, great selection for all tastes! Beautiful new sheik Rix Lounge.
Suggest requesting a room near bus stop and main building for food. Otherwise you can walk long distances!
Rooms are outdated but comfortable, new beds A+.
Conventioners did not bother us, we encountered very friendly people!
Definitely recommend as a moderate stay!

We have stayed at CSR on our last two trips to the world and absolutly loved it.
With rooms booked close to the Pepper Market, you cant go wrong because you are a short walk to everything, the resturants, pool, and main bus station.
The resort seems to be very centrally located with regards to taking the buses to the various parks and there are plenty of buses all day long
Mouse keeping was excellent and the staff at the resort overall were wonderful!
My son (9) and I particularly loved the pool in the afternoons as my wife and daughter relaxed in the air conditioned room.
The pepper market (provided you are on the dining plan) is an excellent value and the food is great. You can get a steak dinner(and many other options) while using only a counter service meal on the DDP. (without the meal plan you might think it is expensive)
Short of winning lotto and having the cash to try out a delux resort, we wouldnt stay anyplace else.

This would be my last choice to stay at for one of the moderates. You might as well save your money and stay at a Value resort. The rooms are nothing special and depending on where your room is located, you could have a very long walk to the lobby and restaurant area.
The Pepper Market restaurant was unique and I would recommend having a meal there.

Like all mods except POFQ, Coronado is very spread out and it is a long hike from the main building to the main pool. We enjoyed our stay at Coronado, the main pool is excellent and the quiet pools nice. We enjoyed Pepper Market and liked most of the food we got there (avoid anything with brown gravy!) I would definitely stay there again. There are some downsides to having the conference center there, but there are some plusses too in the amenities and the concierge.

I stayed at this resort and really liked it. It is definitely a huge resort, so if you have mobility problems or don't want to add a long walk at the resort to the park walking, this resort may not be for you. The convention crowd can also get a bit rowdy in the lounge so you may want to avoid them in the evening.
The Spanish colonial theme is very well done and you are totally immersed in it. There are fountains and little hidden walkways all over. The Pepper Market is also a great counter service restaurant with a twist.

We stayed at CSR in August of 2008. I was very happy to have a renovated room with queen size beds. The resort grounds were also very lovely and nice to stroll around.
The main pool was great, we spent lots of time there and our 7 year old DD loved the big water slide. The pool was too far away from Pepper Market to schlep food all the way back for lunch so we used the CS at the pool. The pool CS had a very limited selection and if you were on the dining plan they wouldn't allow you to have ice cream as your dessert with lunch like they do at OKW. Also the refillable mugs had to be refilled by people at the counter, there was no drink station to refill it at.
We never ate at Pepper Market because we were always at the pool if it was lunch time and we aren't breakfast people. We did get snacks from Ricks Cafe including the yummy gelato so it was nice to have that as an option. My DD had an extra TS left so she alone ate at the Maya Grill breakfast buffet on our last morning and told me that it was very good.
We saw business people walking around but that never bothered us and none of them got rowdy.
We liked this resort but none of us loved it like Pop Century or OKW. If we were staying at a moderate I would consider booking CSR again because of the queen sized beds and the great pool or I might just settle for double beds and check out the new pool at CB.

I wound up in one of the sections farthest from the main building, but close to the main pool.
You can take a bus to the main building, but it is quite a hike if you decide to walk.
The main pool is very nice and the hot tub was well kept.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to going over to our DVC resort. This was done just prior to the smoking ban. We arrived at 3am because our flight was delayed. We were given a room, told that it was no smoking, after spending 20 min trying to find the room, we arrived to find a chair with a full ashtray outside the room, opened the door, and the stench was horrible...we schlepp our luggage back to the car and go back to the front desk...gave us another room...20 minutes to find it, raccoon ran across my foot...and we inserted the card and there were people in the room!!! Luckily they had the chain lock on the door, so it only opened a few inches.
So, we take the luggage and schlepp back again...they have no non smoking rooms...we ask to see a manager...30 minutes later, she appears, apologizes, goes into the back and 15 minutes later she has a room and she accompanied us to the room. It was a lovely room, probably an upgrade and that is why the front desk would not give it to us....I hated this hotel. Won't go back again.

Our 1st stay at CSR was a good one. I requested a room close to dining and we were in Casitas 1. A very quick walk to the Pepper Market and main bus stop.
we did not have a remodled room, but the location was great.
There was a convention going on during part of our stay, but I never felt it was an issue.
The bus service to and from the parks was great, as you don't share w/ any other resorts. and by leaving from Stop 1...we were on our way. Never a crowded bus and we traveled during the beginning of Spring Break.
Mousekeeping was wonderful, even left us one day balloons, w/ 2 small towel animals and window clings, a great surprise.
We loved the Dig Site pool and used 1 quiet pool. Niether seemed over crowded and very clean.
Dining was nice, the Pepper Market is a bit confusing at first and the child menu choices do not change so a little boring. On the DDP it is a great deal and plenty of hot and delicious choices for 10 and up. Never crowded and we had some nice CM "servers"
Overall we really enjoyed this stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers the mod price, once all rooms are remodled you can't go wrong. Though room/building request is key to being close to dining and main pool. I'd say Casitas 1 or 2 and Cabanas.
Would we stay agian....well no and only because we finally bought into the DVC...since our family size is now 6.

While we love everything Disney, we were not impressed by CSR.
Our room was not cleaned well all week. When we arrived there were used kleenex and crackers under our bed. They were still there when we left. I left a note for mousekeeping on top of the tip 3 days in a row asking for a shower cap. Each day they took the tip, but never left a shower cap. The phones didn't work the entire week. Each day there was a note on the table saying that they expected them to be fixed that day, but they never were.
The service at Pepper Market is very poor. The whole stamp thing is just not efficient. It is nearly impossible for the entire family to eat together with having to get the kids food at an entirely different station and the service being so slow at the others. The CM's were very unfriendly and some just plain rude. I also had a run-in with a front desk CM, when all I wanted was my boarding passes printed. Very unprofessional.
On to the good points - The pool is nice and the slide is fun. The bus service was good. Rix Cafe is good and a nice alternative to the Pepper Market, but has limited choices.
We do not plan to return to CSR.

Just back from our 2nd stay at CSR and another wonderful visit. We loved the new bedding, the flat screen TVs and the room renovations. The themed pool is great and the waterslide is a fabulous bonus for a moderate. The resort is huge, but that meant that we were barely aware that there was a convention taking place. Bus service was very good. Pepper Market food isn't bad but is pricey if not on the DDP. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for my 50th. Our first Mod resort. Until then only AS/POP which we also liked.
I selected a room as far from the Convention Centre/Main Building as possible(Ranchos 7B). I love walking around Disney properties, the grounds and gardens are very under-appreciated I think. So restful and quiet.
Our quiet pool was always near empty We swan very late at night without any problem. Also, the main Mayan Dig Pool was very quiet at night with only 3-4 families there. Sadly we never used the slide.
I enjoyed The Pepper Market more than Sis, I woke up early each day and went for grab & go breakfast which I then brought back to the room. I hear it may become a Boma style buffet! We'd love that. The Maya Grill is a little pricey, good for the DP, but the food was outstanding!
I really don't like Rix Lounge and wish they had come up with something cosier, better theming. It is very crowded with Conventioneers but they can have it!
We would stay here evry visit but DS says we have to try other resorts, why? I love CSR

The room was lovely, housekeeping right on the ball. Bell services was at the front desk within minutes to get us and our luggage to our room... which was good, as we were about as far from the front desk as it was possible to get. We'd planned to grab a resort mug and refill once or twice a day, the long haul to the front threw that plan out the window.
The water slide was a hit with my hubby, and the hot tub was a definate plus for me. The walk to and from them, though, meant we only got there a few nights.
The Pepper Market... Nice concept, but poorly executed, with indifferent food and lousy service. Tried it twice, won't be back... and this might be the deal-breaker for us staying there again.

Stayed in CSR late September 2009. We were in building 4, which housed the wonderful fitness center. Crowds were light, pools were great, new queen beds were quite comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. Going back in 2010. Only complaints are same for all Disney Resorts; they charge you $10/day for internet access and the cable TV channels stink.

It was our first time staying at this resort. Actually it was our first time staying at a moderate. We loved it!
The kids enjoyed the pool and slide very much. At times, it was difficult to get them to leave to go to the parks.
The CM's were very friendly and nice. They seemed willing to make our trip as magical as possible.
The food was very good though expensive. I'm glad we were on the dining plan because that made it seem worth it. But it's not like we at all the meals at the resort either.
The buses were very good. We never waited long for a bus and the rides were quick to all the parks.
The rooms were very comfortable and having the extra size beds was perfect!

Well worth the money. you get so much more at this resort because of its convention connection.
We loved having the bigger queen beds, they gave us much more room.
The resort is so beautiful, the landscaping is well done and well maintained.

We just returned from an awesome trip to WDW. Coronado was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed the queen beds and the newly renovated rooms. The modern look was a breath of fresh air.
The pool was a hit with our kids. There were plenty of kids and the lifeguards entertained them at points throughout the day with pool games. The slide was incredible.
The food at the main pool and the Pepper Market was very good. The Pepper Market was a step ahead of the other moderates. The food was made fresh and very tasty.
Transportation at the resort is some of the best we've experienced at WDW. Most trips were only a 5/10 min wait. One trip to MK was delayed but other than that glitch, it all went smoothly.

Stayed at CSR from 8/25-9/3. CM's were very helpful and courteous. Pepper Market was good, albeit a bit confusing with the whole stamp thing. Pools were great (used both quiet and Dig Site).
Only caveat is mousekeeping was less than gracious. We left tips every night and maitained our room pretty neat and we received no towel animals, no shampoo refills for 3 days.. other than that, Fabulous resort!
