Positive aspects of the product (pros): Hidden gem for character meals! Not crowded or loud. Location. Cons: Fab Five are rare here.
The fact that there are not many reviews tells me folks overlook this character meal.
If you want a character meal (weekly dinner and weekend breakfast only) then this is a good choice to avoid crowds and noise.
It's rare to see any of the fab five here but you'll get a visit from two lesser characters.
If you or your kids want to get close to some of the well known but supporting Disney characters then this is a great spot to grab a photo or autograph.
There's always something on the buffett which makes this a good stop if your kids or you don't like to wait. You can also order from the menu.
The decor' was recently updated with a large tree in the center of the dining area which gives the restaurant a "Hundred Acre Wood" feel.
The food is good and recognizable but nothing outstanding. Count on a themed buffet each night like: pasta, seafood, BBQ. Prices are a bit high but all you can eat and comparable to the other resorts.
This is also very close to the water taxi's to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. It's also connected to the Boardwalk via a bridge. Nice and convenient stop before or after Epcot or DHS.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): excellent food/ reservations didn't seem necessary Cons: not in disney dinning plan
I guess unlike most I planned my Diney trip a month before we went. I had a really hard time getting reservations at the character meals. I tried a reservation for Chef Mickeys, which was non-existant at this time and the resercation suggested Garden Grove. We did not have the Disney Dinning Plan so that didn't matter that it wasn't included at this restaurant. And I couldn't find many reviews on this restaurant so I wanted to give it, its well deserved outstanding review.
Garden Grove in the Swan resort is EXCELLANT! Very nice relaxing atmosphere, not crowded (we went on a Friday night at 6pm and there were plenty of tables empty), attentive wait staff. Timon and another Lion King character were present at our meal and they spent LOTS of time atleast 3 different rounds to our table to interact with my 2 little girls. There was a seafood buffet when we went and it was delectable. Shrimp, crabs legs, mussels, the flank steak melted in your mouth, the seafood risotto which was prepared from a chef from New England was excellent. And I had a bunch of adult "food critics" in my party, the ceasar salad served tableside was excellent! They have a large selection of gourmet desserts that not only looked devine they tasted it too! My favorite was the pina colada tarte! Definately worth the price and I'm so glad I tried Garden Grove, definetely will go back next time such a magical dinning experience. Try it! You'll love it too!!!

We went here in May 2011 - party of 8 and LOVED it! Great character interaction and food was ok. This time the food was very good, character interaction was not as good and the server was not good. FYI drinks are NOT included here. When I asked about being charged $3 for my 4 year old's lemonade I was told all Disney buffets charge for drinks. Although this was the only one we had been charged for, I told him that and he rudely said he had been working at Disney for 10 years and they had always charged for it. I might consider trying it again later down the road but not anytime soon.
