Positive aspects of the product (pros): Princess galore, walk up, kosher food available Cons: Can't think of any now
This is the way to get a meal with the Princesses! We walked up at 3:30 and asked if there was availability for early dinner - sure! Also, no advance notification was required to have kosher meals for us (as opposed to every table service location in WDW).
As my daughter said, we ate with "all the princesses but Jasmine." She was right. We met Ariel before sitting, and then we were visited at our table by Snow White, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Mulan. Easy as pie! I've never done the Character meal at Norway/Epcot, but is it much better than this? And with no ADR needed?

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Meeting the princesses, getting lots of pictures, food was incredible, kid freindly children's menu, appetizers and desserts were really fun and fancy Cons:
My daughter, who was just 3 at the time, LOVED having lunch at Ariel's Grotto. She wore her Cinderella costume and felt like a princess. When Cinderella came by, she spent a little extra time with her and we got some fabulous pictures. Appetizers came out on a stacked plate server and had a great variety for the kids and adults. The adult menu was amazing and the food was fabulous! They offered a really nice kids menu as well that included kid friendly fare. (My kids both had the mac & cheese). Dessert came out on a long thin plate and had different bite sized treats, cookies and a white chocolate ariel. Highly recommend...

This place is really neat. They treat you like royalty the whole time you are there. The princesses come right up to your table so you can take pictures. The food was good as well.

I think many compare DL with DW. Our last character dining experience was at Cinderella's castle in DW. Ariel didn't visit our table. If I knew that was going to be the case, I would have taken pictures. In Cinderella's castle, pictures were part of the meal, not here. Food wasn't all that great either. Although in both situations we were rushed, this time we had dinner and wanted to enjoy a bottle of wine. We weren't able. Finished MAYBE half the bottle. When we asked if we could cork it or have it sent back to our hotel, we were deferred to the manager. He was gracious and ended up sending a full bottle to our room. From our experience, DL was better than DW in many ways. However, the character meal wasn't one of them.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): lots characters, beautiful location Cons: Horrendous food
The building is beautiful, and my daughter loved meeting the many Princesses that came by our table. HOWEVER, the food was nothing short of horrendous. I don't know if we just went on a bad day, but it was so horrible that none of the four of us (my friend and her son, and my daughter and I) ate more than a few bites of our various choices.
Our waitress was great, and after noticing that our plates were still full, she asked if everything was okay. Upon finding out we felt the food was semi-cold and awful tasting, she was kind enough to take 50% off of our total.
Everywhere else we ate was fantastic, which just made our meal at Ariel's Grotto so noticeably bad. I do see other people enjoyed it, so hopefully we just went on a bad day. However, we won't be eating there again, despite the sweet waitress and the Princesses.

We've done the Princess Breakfast, but this trip we did Ariel's for the World of Color Dining Package. I didn't see an option for that....so figured I would list it here.
This was by far the best meal we had all trip. I was worried about it because we have picky eaters & we don't eat fancier foods....we're a big family on a small budget.....so the menu was a bit scary at first. The service was excellent....every one was thrilled with their entrees. Everything was perfectly cooked. The dessert tray was beautiful....and it tasted as good as it looked!
We paid $36.99/adult & $20.99/child. This included drinks unless you get an alcohol drink.
The total for my family 6 adults/2 children with 3 alcoholic drinks was $325.
We received our Fastpasses for the World of Color show after paying for the meal. Our preferred seating area for the show was awesome!! Not crowded & center to the show.
Spendy but worth it to us!!

A great setting for lunch, and the kids loved the visits with Belle, Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty -- but were a little disappointed that Ariel was just a snapshot on the way past the hostess stand. Food was not great, especially the kids meals. We also didn't know we had to request inside seating and were stuck outside on a rather chilly afternoon. Thank goodness for the overhead heaters! I'll give this a pass next time.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Magical place for little girls with all the characters. One princess had an attitude though!! Cons: The food is average at best.
This place is a dream for little girls. My 4 year old loved it. She got to take a pic with Ariel as we entered and the rest of the princesses were going to each tables for photo ops. All the princesse were great with the exception of Jasmie, she had a bad attitude and was not really friendly at all. No smiles, nothing. The other were great.
The food was average, nothing special for the price paid.
The photos taken with Ariel are kind of expensive, but how can you say no when they bring it to your table and you little girls wants the picture with Ariel? I couldn't. $40 for those pics is a bit much, but you are at Disneyland, nothing cheap there.

SO I didn't see an option for reviewing the World Of Color dinner package, so I've put it here.
First the food... Great. We enjoyed every aspect of the meal. Tri-Tip and sustainable fish, and both were delicious. The appetizers were great as well. Desserts were not really my pic, but I do not really like chocolate that much.
Service was also great. At no point did we feel rushed, or ignored.
The only down side in the actual meal was that as we walked down the stairs we felt the place (mostly the carpets) looked dirty and shaby. Also, there were families with kids there when we entered and left. And in both cases the kids were literally running around yelling and playing. Parents letting their kids "entertain themselves" while they enjoyed the meal. I might have asked to be seated away from children had I known people were so oblivious.
As for the World of Color, I must say, great job. We were told to go to the meeting spot at 8:30 and we woud have great spots. And we showed up at 8:15 (as a line was forming) but at 8:30 we were escorted to a reserved area and it was amazing. We had plenty of room to sit while we wait for the 9 pm showing, and then when it began, there was the most amazing viewing of this show.
An incredible value, I may not watch the show again without the dinning package.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): fun princesses for the girls, food was ok Cons: i felt a little bit like a person on an assembly line, very expensive
We got a voucher for here from our park package and my 6 year old daughter loves the princesses. It just felt a little like we were being pushed through dinner on an assembly line. The salad was blah, the appetizers were not great. The meal was pretty good and the dessert was fun. I wouldn't pay to eat here though. Too expensive for just meeting the princesses.

We just had dinner at Ariel's last week. First the menu has no price you have to ask. We had 2 kids meals and 2 special drinks for the kids. I took the fish dish and my girlfriend the steak. We also had 2 adult drinks. In the end the total came to 185$ (including taxes and tips). Yes we saw 4 princesses and the food was good but to pay over 180$ for that is expensive. In DCA there is a lot of great spot you can eat at for less but you will not get the same experience. Because of the location and the very limited characters options at Disneyland I think they can get away with the price.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Meeting the Princess' Cons: okay quality food and expensive
My family and I decided to have breakfast with the princess' because I love all of the Disney princess'. Now lets keep this in mind, I was the youngest in our group and I was 20 at the time. I enjoyed spending time with the princess' and getting pictures with them all. Definitely a highlight of the breakfast! Now the food was okay. They bring your a four tiered plate of food including: cheese and crackers, pastries, eggs, bacon, and sausage. For the five of us it was definitely not enough food and not worth the price.
But still a good experience.
