I have done both the breakfast and diner. The breakfast is good run of the mill food and the characters interact well.
Diner is wonderful. We love the Strawberry soup. The characters really make this meal. My husband actually danced with one of the step sisters and the evil step mom had her daughters sing it was so funny! We celebrated our daughters second birthday here and loved it!

We celebrated our daughter's 5th birthday here (dinner). The buffet food was good enough--no complaints, but nothing remarkable either. The character interaction was top notch though. This has been the best character meal we have done yet. The characters make their rounds at each table, then there is some dancing...the step sisters and step mother are hilarious. The restaurant just seemed very loud. That was OK with us, as we have a little one who can be loud and it is nice for her to blend in, but a relaxing or romantic dinner it is not.

My family and I have recently ate at the 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Flordian Resort. We ate at dinner and at breakfast to compare how they were.
We first ate there for breakfast, my family and I enjoyed our meal and the characters (Mad Hatter, Marry Poppins, Alice, Pooh, and Tigger) were wonderful. There was a variety of food, and it was delicious as well. I was celebrating my birthday at the time, and even though im not a child, or in my teens any more they gave me a place mat which was signed by the characters, a button that said it was my birthday, a tiara, and a cupcake. Even though that all these items that they gave me were appreciated, it was what they did a little latter that surprised me. One of the cast members went on mic and told everyone in the restaurant that it was my birthday and had everyone sing to me. I highly recommend this for little ones, they will be so happy when this happens to them. What i also found was when i wore this pin all day many of the cast members said happy birthday princess. I found it to be cute.
When we ate there for dinner, i thought it was worth it for the characters. This is the only place where one can find Cinderella, Prince Charming, Cinderella's step mother and step-sisters all at one place. If your little princess is a bing fan of Cinderella, this is completly worth it all the characters come to the table and chat with your party. I found the step-mother to be the best. The food was ok, but the rest was good. The food is ok, not the best, but there was decent amount to choose from. They have selections from around the world.
Overall i think that these are one of the best places to eat (character dining wise) on property. I thought the food was great at breakfast and the characters were good at dinner. Another good part about each dining experience is that they are both buffets.

The dinner selections at 1900 Park Fare are diverse and delicious. The strawberry soup is almost as popular as the Dole Whip. The prime rib they serve is also outstanding and when paired up with the numerous sides and salads tehy offer, it makes for a wonderful dinner experience. My daughter was very eager to meet the Fairy Godmother, but left totally in love with Perla and Susie. We were there a year or two ago before the switch to Lady Tremaine and the nasty stepsisters. I would love to meet them though as well someday!
The room is very large and lends to a noisy atmosphere. It can get quite loud in there, but usually not overwhelmingly so.

When they open the doors from the quiet Grand Floridian into 1900 Park Fare, the noise level is shocking. It's really noisy in this restaurant. The food is served on a buffet and is good, but not great. There are adult offerings (coq a vin, fish, roast beef) and kid offerings (chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, cookies, rice krispy treats). The "adult" desserts were fantastic - so beautiful I took pictures. The character interaction was pretty good. While we were there, each one came around about twice. They spent a good amount of time talking with each child and letting us take pictures. My princess LOVED meeting Cinderella. The highlight was Lady Tremaine. She was a hoot and worth the price of admission. I would say it's worth it if your little one wants to meet Cinderella, but brace yourself for the chaos!

I really like this character meal. The character interaction especially with the Mad Hatter makes this meal. This is a great place to go if celebrating something. Let the Mad hatter and he will go to town. I celebrated my birthday here and will never forget it

We ate dinner hear March 28, 2009. I will say that the step sisters are hugely entertaining. Younger girls should love this character dinner. The food is inconsistent. The buffet had several sections each featuring a different country's cooking. Some dishes were very good, but several I left on my plate after a single bite. My picky DD(15) ate mostly from the kids section - mac & cheese etc. While the hot food area was kept clean, the dessert area looked like a tornado had hit it. It was unappetizing. This restaurant is extremely noisy. We we in a side room that was out of the main action. Bad for viewing the Prince's dances, but thankfully less noise. When we were seated, our server informed us that we might want to wait as Cinderella and the Prince would hit our area shortly. This meant that for the first 15-20 minutes we dared not get any food, until both had visited. This gave an odd timing to our meal. We later went to Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch. The price is not that much different and we loved our experience there.

The food here is good. I liked the pasta bar (plates made to order). I also got my fill of the uncrustables. Even though it's located in the Floridian, the restaurant wasn't well themed. It seemed like any other banquet room. This restaurant is also prone to being loud, not because of the entertainment (which there isn't any), but because of the throngs of little girls bursting out of their skins to meet Cinderella.

We were thrilled with our Cinderella's Gala Feast experience. The restaurant was very busy and we did wait, but the flow went very well once inside. The food was wonderful, fresh, hot, good variety. Our 2 yo DD was overjoyed with watching the characters. She liked the food, too.

My wife and I discovered 1900 Park Fare on our first trip to Disney World in 2008. We had been unable to get reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table, and had been trying for a few months. We kept checking through the concierge, but to no avail. She suggested that we try 1900 Park Fare.
1900 Park Fare has since become somewhat of a tradition for us. It is not the greatest food on property, but is above average in quality. The chicken croq a vin is pretty good, and the mashed potatoes are delicious.
I would say that if you're looking for really good food in a relaxed environment, don't come here. If you're looking for a fun fantasy experience with a filling meal (not as expensive as CRT), by all means, this is the place. Lady Tremaine and the Step Sisters are absolutely hilarious, and slightly more interactive for adults since they are human (non-masked) characters:
Anastasia: "This is what our wedding picture could've looked like!"
Lady Tremaine: "They're celebrating their anniversary, couldn't you at least wait until they're divorced?"

This was our second trip to this restaurant...and it was good again. The stepmother and step sisters really make it fun for the entire family.
The buffet is tremendous. Our three year old son loved Cinderella.
We were seated near the entrance which was a bit busy but not anything that would be negative.

We had dinner and were not impressed. The buffet was unappetizing and didn't look fresh. Our service was poor. The CM acted like we were imposing on his time. When I went to get ice cream for dessert, black stuff came out on the cone. I pointed it out to a CM and he acted like I was making it up. While the interaction between the characters is entertaining and the dancing at the end was surprising and fun, the venue is loud and we couldn't really understand what the characters were saying all the time. The step-sisters were really good -- really in character. With all this said, I wouldn't recommend this character dining to anyone. Askershus (Norway) is much better and you get photos -- and it's cheaper!

We tried this for dinner in March. The characters were really funny. The stepsisters asked my 9-year old son to marry them because how he "stuffs his face". It was so funny - a great moment to catch his red face on camera. The food is not "great" but is good quality and a lot of different selection so something for everyone. The prime rib was really good and the salads were excellent. The kids selections were the usual - mac and cheese, etc - but good quality. Lots of fresh fruit which was good on a hot day. If you have girls that love princesses, this is a great way to meet Cinderella and the Prince.

Let em start by saying I do recommend this character meal but not for the meal as much as the nice way to enjoy the beauty of the Grand Floridian and the shops.
We attended the breakfast on our last morning. When you walk into teh Grand Floridian the grandness will make you feel Wow! We checked in a the podium but our reservation was messed up. I figure this was because we made a last minute reservation the night before around 8pm/2000.
After the picture taking(have a friend or another guest take your pic) the hostess took us to our seats.
Let me start off by saying this place is loud. Yes it is Disney and yes it's a character meal but we did 3 character meals during this trip and this was by far the loudest of the three.
Also, the place kinda looks run down. This might be because before you sit down to eat your are surounded by the beauty and openness of the Grand Floridian lobby but it just reminded me of a regular run of the mill buffet back home.
The food was pretty much the same as any other breakfast buffet. They do have a eggs made to order area so thats nice.
The day we went the characters were:
Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter and Tigger
They all were very nice but the Mad Hatter stole the show. He made a few jokes and really interacted with our kids 11(boy) 9 and 8 (girls). It's been a few weeks since we were there and my kids still talk about him.
In summary I love the grand Floridian but if you are only going to this as a character breakfast skip this and try Lilo and Stich's breakfast at the Contemporary.
Enjoy.
Also make sure to go upstairs and check/combine all your fastpass photo cards at the kiosk while you are waiting for your table.

We ate here last year, and found it to be of good value. The selection on the buffet satisfied everyone. The desserts were to die for. The characters were great. The evil step mother was a hoot, and the step sisters were hilarious. It was lovely to see Cinderella and Price Charming dance.

We ate supper at 1900 Park Fare, and it was our favorite character meal. The characters were super attentive to our boys which isn't always so at character meals. The characters were in perfect form and had us all in their "spells". The food was delicious, especially the desserts. Service here was unbeatable, and we never felt rushed here at all. The restaurant was beautiful and spotless. The bathrooms were a bit small, but they were very clean! Both of my sons want to eat here again, and we will next time we are at Disney!

This was our anniversary breakfast and everything about it was horrible. The buffet areas were messy, poor selection, few items, workers were just standing around talking to each other. Very rude worker: he was standing talking about his personal life and when the tongs from the cold, greasy bacon fell on the floor,he TOLD me to pick it up in a very annoyed voice, I was already several steps away when they hit the floor. He was too lazy to walk around and pick them up. Another worker was announcing birthdays and anniversaries, but ours was never announced. The characters had bad accents and acted like they were forced to be there. We paid cash for this overpriced meal. The workers need to realize that we are indirectly paying their salaries.

our experience was greatly effected by where we were seated...in the "closet" area on the far side of the restaurant. The tiny room was filled with 6 top tables. There was very little room to get in/out of your seat, let alone to manuver to and from the buffet with one small walkway for all the guests, characters, and servers. 5/10/10 The only good thing to say is that we did get to see all of the Cinderella characters other than that this was a total bust. Our waiter disappeared we consistently had to look for him or get another waiter or waitress to get him it was really annoying. I mean its not like he had to bring food out it’s a buffet where did he have to go? I ordered a cake for my mom for Mother’s Day and when he brought it, (it was the wrong cake) only after I had to ask for it twice, I than had to wait another 20 minutes for it, by than we were far past done eating. Plus it was my cousin’s daughter’s birthday and he brought out her cup cake way after my mom and cousin left so they wouldn’t miss the electrical pageant water parade. The food was not the best and some was cold. The picture people didn’t even tell us they were snapping our picture were awful. I would recommend CRT or Akershus for an encounter with the princesses before I went back here for dinner. The breakfast here was good but the dinner was awful.

I believe this has been my only review where I've selected no i would not recommend this place. The food was cold and tasted old and microwaved. The service was so so but definitely not up to Disney standards. We used the Disney dining plan for this so I don't remember what we paid but I'm sure it was too much for the experience. We went to Agershus in Norway which was so much better!

We went on Sunday August 22 for the Character Breakfast. Was by far the worst of our dining plan meals on our trip. We arrived 15 minutes before our 11AM reservation time. It took the entire 15 minutes to get to the front of the line in order to just check in. Waited another 45 minutes to get seated. Waitress took our drink order, brought our drinks and disappeared. We had to get other waiters to help us as we didn't see her again for at least 20 minutes. food was fair at best. Since it was very late in the breakfast seating, many dishes were completely gone and what was there had been sitting there for a while. The one saving grace was the characters. The Mad Hatter and Tigger were the best and Alice, Pooh and Mary Poppins were great too.

I have to say, I was disappointed with this character breakfast. The food was fine, and I did think it was nice that they would prepare an omlet for you. The character experience here was what left more to be desired. It just seemed to be unorganized, some of the characters came by several times, but we had to wait on another and ask our waitress a couple of times if Alice was coming back. She had visited the table next to us, then skipped us and the next table, going to a different room, then left. We eventually settled our ticket and waited another 15 minutes before she came to the table. I understand that sometimes tables get skipped, but we ended up waiting about 25 minutes in all to see her, with Pooh, Tigger coming to our table several times. All the other character dinings we did were very organized.

Dinner - Dec. 2010. Characters are great - you get Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and her lovely 2 daughters. Fun interactions! Food is pretty good, better than most buffet food. Service was fine. Only complaint is the tables are a little close together but it's not really the end of the world... Went here for Breakfast in 2009 (Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Tigger, Pooh) and enjoyed that too. It was a lot less crowded. I'm sure Cinderella brings the crowd! I'd come back here but probably not if it's just us since I don't have girls.
