I love character meals. It is a nice break from the hussle of the parks and your kids get to get autographs & pictures with some of their favorite princesses. There is always a crowd outside waiting to get in, no indoor waiting area.

The character interaction here is top notch. The food is unique but I really enjoyed it. The buffet portion has some really good items that you might not try otherwise. The main course was very good.

Food is a little different - some of your disney buffet basics but also regional favorites. Princess are great benefit to get so many in one location..good alternative to Royal Table..but tables are MASHED into the space..

If you need to see Princesses this is the place. We saw Jasmine, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Belle. The princess interaction was great, but the food is so-so. I don't really care for the family style serving. I prefer a buffet with more choices. I also don't like how they raised the price and included the picture. The picture with the Princess is nice, but you should have a choice whether or not you want the picture. We were seated near the door that the princesses go in and out of and it was pretty cramped back there, I would have preferred to be in the larger main room. Two of our kids don't like eggs and we were able to request pancakes for them, even though they don't come with the breakfast. They took awhile to come out, but the option was nice.

I really liked the atmosphere of this resturant. It made you feel like you were far away from the crowds. The meal is unique. You get up to get your appetizer at a buffet, but then order your main course off of a menu. The buffet may be a little foreign for some tastes, but the main courses are very middle of the road. The Princesses are all available for pictures and don't give the appearance of rushing through from table to table.

This was a great and quiet Character Dining in comparison to Chef Mickey's. But this was not my favorite Character Dining place. The Princesses cycle through the dining room once and being there with three girls it was difficult to have them all at the table at the same time to see each princess. We also felt a little rushed once all the princesses left and it seemed they were getting the dining room ready for the next group.

The title calls this a breakfast, but we had lunch with the princesses (this is Norway in Epcot, right?)
The all you can eat cold buffet is very nice, if you like Norwegian style selections. You then pick a main entree from a short list, most are tasty if a little on the small side. The princesses were great with our 5yo.
On the downside is the price, the picture package is mandatory and is included which is one reason the price is so high.

I only rated it an 8 because of the princess interaction. We did not eat breakfast, but we have had lunch and dinner here. My granddaughter LOVED it. She was 2,3 and 4 when we dined here. She is a real princess herself and she had the best time. We got lots of pictures and autographs. The food was so so, and not something I would eat if it weren't for the princesses. Each princess stops by the table, we had Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Arora, and Cinderella.
I love seeing all the little girls dressed like princesses! The restaurant if beautiful.

This was perhaps the best meal of our trip. The food was excellent but what really made the experience was the wonderful service. It was top notch.
We actually had dinner there on May 29, 2009, before Illuminations. The characters were great. The best aspect about this was the photo package included in the price of the dinner. That was a real treat! In all, we met Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Ariel.
This is a definite stop on our next trip!

This is one of my husband's favorite meals. The breakfast was wonderful and the pastries divine. I was surprised by how many characters at at this meal.

We all enjoyed the experience at lunch, even our 3-year-old. She was entranced with the princesses' shoes. The food was good though we weren't impressed with the dessert choices. We had the bar-b-que and we enjoyed the cold buffet for starters. The waiter was attentive but didn't hover. Each of the princesses (Cinderella, Jasmine, Aurora, Ariel) visited the table and spent as much time with us as we wanted. Our granddaughter had her picture taken with Belle by the Disney photographer -- included in the price of the lunch. We'd happily go again!

Askerhus was a total gamble for us but I am glad we tried it out. We loved it. The different selection of food items coupled with the traditional fair was a real treat. We loved everything we tried and had an excellent server who recommended some of the 'traditional' items.
The princess interaction was great, on our day we had Mulan, Snow White, Belle, Ariel, and Sleeping Beauty. Now if Sleeping Beauty flirts with my hubbie one more time she has had it, Malicifient is nothing compared to me. lol Overall we had a great time and Askerhus breakfast is on our must do list.

There are two princess breakfasts in the World. The one in the castle is magical, but unfortunately, it has outpriced itself. This was a great alternative. The princesses are different. And, it's buffet. So, you get to pick your food. At Cinderella's Royal Table it's brought to you plated. You have the choice of healthy or not. It was great to be able to do both.
However, I am greatly disappointed that Disney is satisfied with offering a meal that everyone wants to go to, but not offering outstanding service. Our server rarely made it to our table. We also had a late breakfast. But, we paid for a character breakfast, and an all you can eat breakfast at that. I do not think their lunch is appealing at all. I wanted breakfast. It would have been nice had the server told us that breakfast would be changing to lunch and to make sure to get plenty of whatever we wanted. We got small helpings to taste, and when we went back for more, it had changed to lunch. The princesses also disappeared at a magical hour. Now, I understand there is no guarantee which princesses you see, we should have been afforded the same service as those that dined 10 minutes before us.
If it weren't for the horrible service, again we saw our server only twice, I would rave about this place.

A must for your Disney Princess. We've done breakfast twice and lunch once. I would suggest trying to do breakfast over lunch. The food for breakfast is standard breakfast fare brought to your table in a huge skillet, ordinary but still good. The lunch menu/buffet was just odd stuff. My family has a pretty basic pallet so this was hard for us. I ordred the traditional meatloaf with green beans and mashed. Very good but the puny portion was laughable. I could've eaten 2 or 3 orders of it and my appetite isn't very big. Waited almost an hour despite having ADR.
On the plus side, the photo is now included with your meal, first trip we paid quite a bit extra for it. Awesome opportunity to get great pix with Princesses. They were all very attentive.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good Food, Good Service and Good Setting Cons: Too much emphasis on character dining aspect.
I do not mind the character dining aspect, I just wish, as an adult with grown children, that, at least, the restaurant would set aside a dinner time (perhaps the last 90 min. before closing) or later lunch time for just normal adult dining with no characters. The atmosphere and service along with the food is very good.
One last request or plea! BRING BACK RINGNES BEER!!!!!!

We ate here in 2005 with our kids with no ADR- just good timing. then they brought you an assortment of Norwegian apps to your table and served family style.
Now you go to the buffet and there is a wider selection of apps to choose from.
But NO Lefse! Bring back the Lefse!!!!
And, this restaurant is the ONLY place I can get gjetost (a sweet, nutty goat's milk cheese)in the US, though our server said she can get it at Publix- we don't have any of those stores in our area.
Let me be clear- we eat here for the Norwegian food, not the princesses. =D
The princesses are nice and we really like our picture with Belle (1 large and 4 smaller pics!)
And since we were on the DxDP it was FREE in our minds, and a new addition since '05.
We enjoyed our entrees- the best salmon I've had in a long time. DH loved his fish too.
The dessert sampler was lovely.
This is ALWAYS our first night's dinner at WDW- and it always will be!

We really enjoyed this character dinner. We were a little dissapointed that there were only four princesses at our dinner b/c we had seen 6-8 at the breakfast on our last trip. However, the inclusion of the photos with Belle, plentiful appetizer buffet, and taste of the food were all pluses. We will definitely do this on our next trip.

We already been 6 characters meal, this one is super good, i highly recommend this one, my boyfriend even give lots of tips for the waitress, she is super nice, although i don't like my main course, the waitress said she would like to change it for me, but i don't want to change cause i don't want to bother her, i am full after i have the cold buffet though, the cold buffet is super good, lots of selection, and the dessert plate is soooooo delicious, i love this meal, i will go back again and again~

This is one of our favorite breakfasts on the property.
First of all, the food is EXCELLENT. It is brought out fresh and cooked perfectly! The potatoes are the best! They are different than anywhere else. They also have a food bar where you can get cheeses/meats and danishes.
The characters are awesome also. You get a free pic with Belle as you go in and the princesses give you plenty of attention.
In 2007 we saw Belle, Mulan, Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.
In 2009 Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel and Cinderella were there.
Try to get the latest breakfast you can. Go in early, ride Soarin' and test track then enjoy your breakfast!
You won't regret this!

My boyfriend decided to take me here for my 30th bday. Upon entering dining hall we took a picture with Belle and then you are whisked to your table. Not long after a large (4 by 6, I think) picture with 3 smaller pictures are delivered to your table.
Food is actually really good for a buffet. The several pastries and bagels are great. The cream cheeses were interesting and tasty-a lingonberry one and a dill one. The hot food brought to the table is good too-potato casserole, eggs, and either bacon or sausage. For my bday our server (Kristine) brought a personalized card signed by her and about 8 of the princesses of which were there. There were a lot more princesses than expected and were all very sweet and personable. Would give this a ten if it were a few dollars cheaper or maybe if juice or coffee was complimentory.

Enjoyed this character meal! The staff were so very pleasant and some of the friendliest we encountered on our whole trip! The Princesses were so wonderful and spent a great deal of time with each table. Our 4 year old was very shy and several Princesses squatted down and earnestly tried to engage him in conversation. This worked like a charm and Snow White graciously answered a litany of questions about the Seven Dwarves. The food was very tasty and fresh. Service was quick too! About the only negatives are extremely small bathrooms and the lack of waiting space inside.

This was one of my favorite meals from our trip. We had an 8:30 ADR time and were seated right away. We were seated at a table right by the entrance. It was a bit annoying because people waiting for their pictures to be taken would sort of crowd around our table, but the staff was nice enough to ask them to move if they got too close to our table.
The princesses were awesome! Our favorite was Ariel. She was really in character. We met: Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Ariel, and Cinderella.
The food was delicious. I love the selection on the cold buffet. We enjoyed the cold selections so much we really didn't eat much off the hot plate. The cheesy potato casserole was good. The staff was friendly and attentive.
We highly recommend this restaurant!!!

this is a tough one for me.... love love love all the characters. great interaction and belle is gorgeous! but i do not like lunch...not very impressed with their bar of food. now, i will say that breakfast food is much better. family style. so, i'd say take the latest breakfast you can get and enjoy.

If you or someone you're with is into the Disney Princesses, then this is fun. You get your picture taken with one at the door and the rest come by your table! The food at dinner was good, though some of it isn't typical buffet food (you are dining in Norway after all).

This was the best value on our dining plan hands down. The castle is very well themed and for a single dining credit per patron you not only get to meet most or all of the Disney Princesses, but also get a free 8x10 photo taken with Belle before dinner. They bring your photo to your table during the meal. We had all of the Princesses at our table including Cinderella. Other than the menu being traditional Norwegian dishes, I can''t think of any reason to pick Cinderella''s Royal Table over this one, other than to say you had the Magic Kingdom Castle experience.
The food was excellent, but be prepared to try something different from normal American fare. The pre meal buffet with cold meats and cheeses was fantastic for everyone. The Kjottkake I tried was well made and tasted great, considering I had never eaten it before. The service was just a tad slow on getting drinks, but considering how packed the restaurant was, I was okay with it. And the waiting area in the front is very small to accommodate the large crowds waiting to take photos with Belle, but they got us all through quickly without being rushed.
Overall this was the 3rd favorite meal of our week, and we will return when we go back.

There were 3 of us. We really enjoyed this character dinner. Our food was great and the interaction of the princeses were great, as well. My 3 y/o especially liked the Princess parade, so cute! The only reason I didn't give it a 10, is because it was on the expensive side, but I guess that's mostly for the characters instead of the food, so I'm glad we had the DDP.

Surprised DD 7 with this meal. She was excited to meet all the princesses. Felt the whole meal/experience was pretty rushed. Food was ok. Enjoyed the meat/cheese/salad buffet much more than the entrees, but they were fine. Glad we were on the dining plan. Even so, this was the highest tip amount all week, by far! Would not pay OOP for this. Fine to do it once & would suggest it to anyone wanting to meet the main princesses in one spot.

Went the eat here for breakfast with DS and DD and Grandkids. We were seated right away and then had our picturs taken with Belle. Food was standard fare, good, but nothing special. Server was attentive and quick with re-fills. Snow White, Cindrella, Ariel and Aurora came to our table and spent a great deal of time with the grandkids. You go here for the charactors and it is well worth the walk. Grandkids loved it and we will go back next year. This year we planned charactor meals for each day and this was the best, got to see a number of princesses and was not rushed at all

We had the last seating at breakfast, food was okay, while the character interaction was great. We had our picture with Belle on the way in and meet 4 more princesses. I have 2 little girls who love princesses, we will be back again to eat here next year. Great service.

We ate here with the last dining seating. Wait was surprisingly reasonable.
Before being seated was a photo with Belle. Bringing our youngest here to WDW for the first time and knowing that we'd get a picture we wanted to do a family photo and not just our DD with Belle. Well Belle didn't seem to happy that we wanted the picture with the 3 of us, and it came out with her having the oddest expression on her face! disappointing.Who knows maybe she was tired of smiling.
The appetizer buffet type selections were very good with different foods than we had ever eaten. We really liked our dinner choices, our waiter was very attentive.
I give it an 8 because of how Belle's demeanor was. The other princess interaction was ok. Snow White came up to our DD a second time and when she realized she already talked with her she said "oh, I already saw you" and walked away.We laughed only because this person sounded like the original voice and she was ditzy like. Sleeping Beauty and Ariel were the most welcoming. It is great place to meet all the princesses if that's what you want.
Our favorite character dinners though were with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare and at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends.
