We love the Halloween party! Its a dream come true to trick or treat your way through the Magic Kingdom. The lines for the rides that are opened those nights are either a little or no wait. The parade is a must see. My daughter was dressed as a dalmatian and was captures by Curelle De Ville. Its a hard ticketed event but its well worth the money.

This party is a blast. Considering you can enter at 4pm the party is a deal if you want to spend 8 hours at the MK. A great night of riding rides with short lines and collecting candy. The parade and fireworks are the best they put out at the MK!! Crowds thin out after the fireworks and you can hit major attractions with little to no lines. Riding Pirates all alone with not another soul in sight and getting on Big Thunder 4 times without getting off just can't be beat!

We went last year and had a blast! There is something for everyone in the family! We went in the rain, and we still had a great time. Loads of candy, and I can't get that song out of my mind!! Boo to you! It is worth the cost.

This is my favorite hard ticketed event. From the characters in costume to the trick or treating, this event is to not be missed. The parade is outstanding. Fireworks in one word are awesome and that is saying something for me because Louisville has the biggest fireworks display in North America.
The music during the fireworks and parade is fantastic. The best part (besides the candy) is catching the headless Horseman running down Main Street. That just give me chills.
Everyone should spend the extra money and do the Halloween party. I usually splurge and do it twice when I'm down there.

We elected to not go to any theme parks during the day (to save on our theme park passes), and do the party that evening.
Even though my young kids were exhausted by the end of the fireworks, they still rave about this party. You get a chance to get on rides with little to no wait, and the parade is awesome. I didn't mind spending the extra money for this party, but I admit I would have a problem with using a theme park ticket day for the Magic Kingdom that day, and have to spend an additional amount for the party.

This is the most fun we have ever had at WDW! There were no waits for rides. The characters, fireworks and parade were awesome and we got tons of candy. If you are in WDW while the parties are going on, they are definitely worth the extra money.

We went for the first time in 2008 and are going again in 2009! There were 4 adults in our party (our age range is early 30's to late 40's) and we all loved it! It's not just for kids, it's for kids of all ages! We loved being able to dress up at MK, the trick-or-treating, the dance parties and the Villains show. The special fireworks show was awesome, but the parade alone is worth the price. There are awesome tricks and treats in store during the parade! The Headless Horseman, the grave diggers, the pirates! This party is a must-do for us!

Wow. This was fun. I didn't expect that it would be so much fun trick-or-treating (as an adult) throughout Magic Kingdom. To see the park transformed is absolutely amazing. The parade is great as well.

If you are at the world during September or October. This is a real treat. The best Disney Parade I have ever seen, Best Fireworks I have ever seen. The Decorations were excelent. You also get to trick or treat and see everyone's excelent costumes. Also a lot of the rides have little wait time.

I love going to the night parties as it's a great chance to tour the park with lower crowd levels than on a normal day. It's the only time I'm willing to ride rides like Dumbo as the line is generally pretty short, but it's not a ride I care enough about to hit right after rope drop. The decorations during the party is amazing, and walking past the turnstiles and onto Main Street is a much different and more exciting experience than usual. The parades and stage shoes are great, and I was delighted to see characters running around that I don't normally get to see. It's not just the villains, either. We saw the Walrus from Alice in Wonderland back in Toontown and were delighted to see such an obscure character. Fun all around.

We did this as our lone Magic Kingdom day last year, entering shortly after 5, and we not only got everything we wanted done, but we also had little to no wait on any of the open rides!
My tip: Go right at 4. Ride the attractions that will be closed during the actual party, after 6pm. Jungle Cruise, Tom Sawyer Island to name a few...
The fireworks and the parade are both AMAZING! Go and have a great time! Also, don't think of this -as extra "cost". For the day you plan to visit the party, do a character breakfast outside of a park in the morning. Swim, mini-golf, or shop after breakfast and head to the MK for the opening to the party-goers at 4!!!

Some people are disappointed by lineups...it's still Disney people you are going to still get lines at times. Don't buy tickets to this only to avoid lines. Buy them to experience Halloween, Disney style. Depending your preference, trick or treat or ride the rides during the second parade. Also, be prepared...if it rains heavy enough, you won't get to see the Headless horseman. Don't be disappointed though...there are so many things to see and do for this event that you will get your money's worth...well it is getting pretty expensive now...hope they add stuff...this site has lots of info on MNSSHP but you are wise to google it as well to find out everything you can do..you want to get the best bang for your buck to avoid disappointment

We did this for the first time last October and loved it. The lighting on Main Street transforms the MK into a spooky scene. Fog is pumpded in and the music and decorations make it so different than it normally does. HalloWishes fire works show is awesome. The parade is one of the best Disney puts on.

We love this event! The decorations transform the Magic Kingdom, the shows are unique, the parade music sticks in your head for days, and the fireworks/music are my absolute favorite.
The only downside is that the time passes very quickly and there its hard to do both rides and the special events. We focus on the special events and leave the rides for another visit.

We really enjoy this event. We're not big on parades and enjoy the very small crowds at the attractions while they are moving through the park. The decorations are great. This is a good value and a fun night.

We love the holiday parties! We are not very interested in the shows or parades and usually buy a party ticket as our day at the MK. We are always able to ride as many attractions as we want with little to no waits. On our visit in 2008 there were very few people on Main Street for HalloWishes. The decorations in MK for the party are awesome and the atmosphere can't be beat.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is the best of the Magic Kingdom hard ticketed events! While the cost is high, it is worth every penny. The fireworks and the Boo To You parade are outstanding... easily the best fireworks and parade out of all of them. Going early in the season almost guarantees very low crowds.

Loved MNSSHP. It was more crowded that I expected, but not horrible and lots and lots of fun. It was hard to pictures with the characters in their costumes due to very long lines but still a good party and we did get GREAT pictures with the villians after the Villians stage show at the Castle. Hallowishes is fabulous and so is the parade. The kids enjoyed some trick or treating, although I think Disney could have passed out better/more unique candy. Walked on to Pirates 3 times with no line at all and only waited 5 minutes even for Haunted Mansion. Seeing all the costumes was also great. I thought it was worth it and would do it again.

I can't imagine an event getting better than this. It has such wonderful themeing and atmosphere. Everything from the woman interacting with guests in line at the Haunted Mansion to seeing all of the children in thier adorable costumes - this is just a wonderful event. We plan our week-long vacation around coming to this event now. I don't want to go another season without seeing the Boo To You parade and Hallowishes fireworks ever again!

The party is more enjoyable if you get in the mood, such as dressing up in your Halloween costume. The party should be considered as the special events, and the attractions as secondary. If you are primarily attending to ride the attractions, there are better, more cost-effective options.

This is a can't miss party for our family. We have gone every year for the last 4 years and will probably keep going as long as they have it. Imagine the best hometown old fashioned Halloween party you can and that is what you will get.
If you decide to dress in a costume, you won't feel silly because so many other adults and children do. The first year we attended, only our daughter dressed up. The next year we all chose costumes. Last year we dressed as pirates, my husband as Barbosa. During the parade, the CM playing Barbosa made a point of calling out "Captain!" and crossing the street to shake my husband's hand. The year before we all wore costumes from the anime series Naruto. The monorail driver on the way to the Magic Kingdom gave a "special hello to the Naruto family." It is as if Disney picks its best CM's to be there at the parties because everyone always seems to be having such a good time which just makes the party goers so much friendlier and more exited.
This is the Halloween that cartoon specials promised you.

We have been to this a couple of times and it's always a lot of fun. It's always amazing to me how quickly they transform the park at night! There's some special characters you might see atop buildings, great shows, and DO NOT miss the parade as it's fabulous! There's also multiple trick-or-treat paths where you can get some candy. Plus the fireworks and accompanying music are great! If you go in September it will not be crowded at all and you will be able to do lots of rides as well as enjoy the special events that night.

Take advantage of the extra late opening hours and have a lazy day in a water park or around the hotel pool and then head over early and make a full night of it.
We went as two adults and no children and had an absolute whale of a time this is SO not JUST an event for children. One of the best bits has to be seeing everyone dressed up, especially the grown ups. Its also a great thing to do before your trip spending time deciding on, or even making a costume, really helps on the often slow countdown to your vacation.
Make sure you get to see the party specific special events and take time to enjoy the atmosphere, rather than make it a mad dash from ride to ride. In fact the first time we did this we hardly went on any of the rides, as we just spent the entire evening in awe of the transformation of the park and the amazing parade and fireworks. You will find that crowds will thin out after Hallowishes, so this is a great opportunity to hit the big rides will little or no wait.
It is expensive, but it is worth every penny so just take your time get dressed up and eat your own body weight in candy Bliss
